  9. price gouging is an american tradition. its supposed to be illegal by federal and state statutes but these laws are NEVER enforced. your right about created new "price standards." property values are sky high. this causes rents to increase causing homelessness and misery throughout the country. but as property values deflate die to lower inflation the rents stay the same. as inflation decreases prices stay at the same HIGH level they reached at the height of the inflation. so, although inflation might decrease property values rents stay at the same ridiculously high levels. THAT'S CAPITALISM! its how its supposed to work!
