There has to be a reason the military tribunal had no interest in prosecuting him. He lived in Europe for 4 years then moved to South America, where he changed his name as did 150,000 former Waffle SS who cameo America. By 1945, 50% of the Waffen SS were 7 to 17. That is NOT the image Hollywood wants to made public when they make fictional movies.

There is a lot of talk about Dr. Mengele and what he did in his laboratory, but when I look for the third party independent corroboration or forensic data, I find none.  The Red Cross had 15,000 boots on the ground in Europe and never heard anything either. There are no reports of atrocities  I have ended my unbiased independent forensic investigation of Dr. Mengele with a finding of no evidence found.

He was freed.  It was in 1985 stories were created about him. He ran a blood lab, nothing more.  Aside from standing on a platform 18 hours a day to greet 50,000 arrivals each day for 10 years.

Dr Mengele was the medical doctor who ran the medical unit and his staff of 30 doctors and nurse assistants would be the persons to screen people. The idea every person had a face to face encounter and chat with Dr Mengele is information that appeared in public discussion after 1985.  Does every patient in a hospital today have a personal encounter with the CEO of the hospital.   There is no prior years corroboration of these encounters I can find.

Auschitz had a huge store and workers in the Buna rubber factory who lived in Auschitz earned a wage and could use script to buy items in the store, like candy, socks, combs.

Unless there are actual documents signed and authenticated then it cannot be considered a legitimate comment.  Maybe you should read the1946 RED CROSS report on the camps, review the actual camp entry log data, made public in 1991 and the 1978 declassified USAF weekly camp photos and see what those official sources show in terms of evidence.
