  3. Russia, with 1/10th the budget of the US alone, has fought 30 NATO countries to a draw for almost two years. If you add in the budgets of Germany, UK, Poland etc., then Russia's budget is a mere EIGHT PERCENT of what its enemies spend collectively; and Russia has defeated or countered virtually every weapon they've given to Ukraine. If Russian engineers were given all that money, Russia would rule the entire Milky Way Galaxy.

  8. I knew something had changed about the Iskander! Two weeks ago they used one on a single Ukrainian tank and I thought "dam RU not playing if they now will use an Iskander on a tank". Then in the past few weeks , we've seen double, triple, even quadruple-tap Iskander hits all over the front. I just remarked yesterday on another channel it seems like RU has more Iskanders to use. I don't know how they are doing it, but if RU got the cost of Iskander down (or maybe Iran/NK building clones for them?) to a level where they basically don't have to count them, its is GGWP for Ukraine. That is 1000kg of HE hitting at Mach 6 with a 9m CEP, and that covers every inch of their country.... Forget it, man!"

  12. That drone vid over Selydove confirms your statements from a few days ago; these towns Russia is taking now are almost completely intact. The buildings in the background look to be in move-in condition with not even a scorch mark on them. Is that because AFU don't have the manpower to defend them, requiring Russia to reduce the city to rubble? Same for Kurakhove; city looks to be mostly undamaged. RU should simply widen the advance of the steamroller, even including places they don't even really care that much about. The broader the front, the more spread out AFU will be meaning some towns will not even be defended, or all towns will be taken without RU having to bombard them very much

  21. It seems like Macron made good on his promise to send (volunteers), not regular French Army to try and do rear-area work to free up AFU guys for the front. Doesn't make them any less of a target though. I can't believe a merc would take a job like that: go into a combat zone, do non-combat work like train and clear mines and build fortifications, and all the while you are a primary target #1. I'm not sure there's enough money in the world for me to volunteer for a job like that...

  23. I read that the T-80BV is the tank spearheading near Konstantinovka. As a kid I used to read all the Tom Clancy spy novels and at that time the T-80 was the newest and most feared Russian tank. Before the Wall fell, the amount of information that came out of the USSR was so small, no one who wasn't alive then could understand it with all the information we have from Russia today. The T-80 was almost mythical to my 10 year old mind because I had to use mostly my imagination as there were no clear photos of it published in any Western magazine."   25. When you zoom out the map, the Kharkiv "salient" is so small compared to the rest of the front, it looks like the coloring of a child who can't stay inside the lines. Yet, Ukraine's most powerful force is near that salient; confirming that Russia's goal of using this operation to simply draw thousands of AFU away from the important places was a masterstroke of tactical operations. Zelensky cannot allow Kharkiv to fall; but from a strictly military standpoint it is nowhere near as important as Kupiansk, Pokrovsk or Kramatorsk. The war is already over (was over a year ago); but AFU simply has zero ability to stop RU from taking those three if they keep their biggest force near Kharkiv (which they must). Yesterday, Zelensky rejected Lavrov's "take it or leave it" offer; when those three cities fall, he will probably be calling Lavrov directly to ask if the "take it or leave it" offer from July is still available...."

  27. I had to go look up what you call "game enders". I admit I was expecting 40 year old ex Soviet junk but was amazed to discover NK has two of the highest performance (on paper) MLRS systems in the world. They can use either Chinese satnav or GPS and they are the biggest by diameter in the world. Their range is incredible for a tactical rocket system putting them far out of range of artillery. No hyperbole....if they provide 100 of these and unlimited ammo, they actually could be "game enders".

  28. I do not believe these "security agreements" obligate troops from whichever country to come in to save a region. For defense weapons, ammo yes but troops no. Scholz would never commit to something like that. Poland would love to but with no Article 5 to cover them theyd be alone vs. the Bear and their whiole country in easy missile range.

  29. I did the "R-37 vs. Storm Shadow" math yesterday after you introduced us to this weapon. I thought "no wonder CNN has no Storm Shadow attack in over a month!"---Su-24 can't get close enough to launch without being killed. I had wondered a week ago why not even a single report of Storm Shadow. Mystery solved! However I didn't think of what that means for FAB-500/1500 like you. That is a great point: if Ukraine cannot stop a Su-34 from flying over Ukraine to that yellow line or close to it, say to Cherasky, a FAB-1500 with up to 80 km range could fall all over the Kyiv suburbs and Ukraine could not stop it at all. When 3000 lb. bombs are falling on Kyiv like they are on Gaza, that's the end of the SMO.

  30. The bridges are a problem, but hardly a critical one, imho. RU can't bring up heavy tanks but they don't need them, as AFU don't have that many anyway. This Kursk incursion force is extremely APC/IFV/Armored Car heavy; it was optimized for mobility, sacrificing armor for speed. Notice how few Bradley's we've seen over the past week, in favor of wheeled Strykers/Maxxpros/Mastiffs/Senators ?? That works in the opening days when you had surprise on your side, but the reason AFU hasn't gone much of anywhere in a week despite hundreds of attack attempts is they don't have the firepower advantage vs. units that are prepared and expecting them. No more border guards, AFU now facing Spetsnaz, Akhmat, Marines, VDV paratroopers and Storm-Z units all around them in Kursk salient. Tough, experienced guys who are the perfect counter to light, mobile forces."

  31. AFU has never been more vulnerable that it is now. Even during the overwhelming initial assault, they were physically back on their heels, but psychologically they were at full strength. Now, they are as weak mentally as I've ever seen them. The loss of Avdiivka will be a blow, but not a crushing one. Russia needs to deliver a knockout punch NOW; never let an opponent recover even a shred when you have them on the ropes. In 1990, Mike Tyson was the most powerful boxer on earth. He knocked Buster Douglas down in the 8th round, but failed to fully demolish his foe. What happened next is for the history books, as Douglas came back from the verge of defeat to shock the world.

  32. Krasnopol is an incredible weapon, its range is less than Excalibur but it can hit moving targets like tanks which Excalibur cannot. My guess is the first Abrams to be burned will fall to the krasnopol.

  33. Pokrovsk is not some little town, pre-war population about 60,000 means its half again as big as Avdiivka and almost as big as Bakhmut. Yet look how quickly RU is advancing on it!! It took months 18 months ago for RU to advance on Bakhmut the way they are moving on Pokrovsk in just a week! The grandfathers of the Russian soldiers would be proud of them; it is 1944 reborn in 2024..."

  38. Over the past two months I've watched this, DPA, and Weeb less and less. Not because of their quality changing, but because the war has changed. Everyone knows Russia has won; its all been fighting over this town or that, a land grab here or there, etc. Its kinda boring phase now; Russia hasn't lost a battle in over a year now. The politics is far more interesting now, like Zel pissing off Trump in Paris....thats entertainment 😂

The whole point of defenses are to make the price of getting through them too high; so the enemy goes somewhere else, or commits a massive force (taking that massive force away from offensive operations elsewhere). That's it. So, the only way to understand who is "winning" the Battle of Robotyne is to know if the price Ukraine is paying for going forward is detrimental to their war plan, or expected and acceptable. We have no idea. 10,000 troops and 200 vehicles may be the "price" AFU decided getting through this phase is worth. Maybe not. AFU has asked Zelensky for another round of mobilization so that could mean they are losing more troops than they planned or they factored that in from the beginning. We just will not know for sure until the war is over.

  40. There is so much in this summary that just boggles my mind; I can only respond maybe once every 30 minutes as I have to process what I just heard. HOW in the fucc does France (or any other NATO country) believe that putting their soldiers on an air base or power plant or fuel depot will "protect" it from Russian attack??? For two years Russia has rejoiced with glee to report it whenever they located NATO personnel in military roles in Ukraine (where they are not supposed to be), and they put an Iskander into them! The "drone show" last fall, the hotels in Odessa, the Patriot wipeouts, the German-speaking soldiers in Leopard 2s, the Poles in Krab artillery clearly heard on the radio, etc. Russia has considered it a badge of honor to demilitarize NATO personnel; Macron must be insane to think they will hesitate.

YT always deletes my comment from other news sources as to how many bombs are hitting AFU per week----some of these sources are Ukraine MoD itself but still YT deletes it if I repeat the number on any comment. Let's just say even if that number of bombs is only causing ONE casualty, AFU is is taking thousands per month. Remember the smallest FAB-250 has a likely injury radius larger than a basketball court..... Just doing some basic math leaves you with no conclusion other than AFU must be taking an astounding level of losses in 2024...."

To die in a dugout of earth I can accept; the earth is where we are all going someday anyway. However to be buried by a FAB inside a mound of waste, where your bones won't be discovered for a thousand years, and archaeologists will uncover you and realize you were entombed in trash.... Imagine what a trench in garbage must smell like.

  49. Pretty much confirms (as if I needed it) who blew up the Kakhovka Dam. Ukraine knew it wanted to attack through Zaporizhzhia (the shortest path to the Sea of Azov), but if they threw their (only offensive) army there, they would be weak and open to a devastating counter through Kherson. They blew it up so no one could attack through there; mean nothing to them as they weren't going to anyway.

  50. Interesting theory regarding Budanov and AFU strategy; my first thought when I heard was "Commissar Corps". Budanov would seed the AFU with like-minded individuals to ensure no surrender or retreat because now, with Russia on the offensive, the only thing that "beats" Ukraine is a collapse of her defense lines. If their conscripts run away, they are done. Or, they may do both, guerilla warfare AND "blocking" units behind every defense line; I guess we will see.
