"No peace in our time. Once more unto the breach, dear friends..."
1
Of course that is true, but there IS major propaganda value to AFU when they "liberate" something, even just a farm house. That helps keep the NATO pipeline primed.
1
Everyone knew Ukraine was going to make an offensive soon, only question was where. My guess is this is all a diversion so the F-16 can do something spectacular somewhere else.
1
Jesus Christ. The Russians did the old "blow up the front, then blow up the back" routine to trap the train with a dam rocket from 50 miles away. Tornado-S accurate enough to trap the train, then they can destroy the rest of it at leisure. If there is any "game-changer" in this war, it is the combination of Orlan/Lancet. Those two have been ripping AFU a new arsehole for a year now and still NOTHING can stop them.
1
What asset is able to hover unbothered 20 km deep into Russian territory and sight for HIMARS?? THAT is RU biggest problem the last few weeks that I can see. AFU can see Russian Orlan drone, but either don't have the expensive missiles to shoot it or would rather save the few they have for Ka-52 or Su-35. Russia don't have any supply problem with anti-aircraft missiles, so how they heck they allow whatever that thing is to just hover over their territory like that? If they don't know its there, then it must be stealth and that can mean only one thing: US Military asset.
1
I've rewritten it three times but YT deletes it every time. If that AFU massing is really that big, well "....its the only way to be sure..."
1
Two US senators support Poland's request to intercept Russian missiles that "appear" to be headed for their airspace and wrote a letter to Biden asking him to do it. No decision made and this is something Stoltenberg rejected a few months ago. No idea if Rutte supports it but even if he does, Biden is the one who decides everything for NATO.
1
What exactly is "Wagner" now?? They are not "Storm Z" as those are former Wagners who joined the regular Russian Army in assault units. Is that what you refer to as Wagner now? They can't be the PMC folks as private armies were outlawed in Russia.
1
RU had to be going after the Swedes doing the AWACS training. In Star Wars even the "good" Rebels realized it was better to destroy the engineers building the Death Star than to try to destroy it after it was completed
1
All is fair in love and war, but the only way this "sneak attack" takes place is NATO changed their donated weapons ROE policy so that AFU would have an advantage. Strykers and Humvees on the border is a concern but not an invasion threat since for 2+ years they could not enter Russia proper. NATO pulled the "switcheroo" allowing Ukraine to catch Russia of guard (this is now the second time; the first time was in Istanbul in 2022). Pearl Harbor was a tactical military success, but there was no glory in it; none here for AFU as well...."

"...the Son of Anarchy...." 🤣🤣🤣
1
ICBM tech is why Kim is meeting Putin in person. Serious stuff.
1
The only reason I can think of that the Russians don't used a deforestation agent like "Agent Orange" to just remove all the vegetation where AFU is hiding, is they don't want to poison their own land. Ukraine's entire defense tactic is based on using trees as cover; without the trees they'd be sitting ducks.
1
Tornado-S, 31:40 .... wow
1
Still no mythical North Koreans??
1
Yep!! When I heard about the "EYE" targeting system I thought "instant response direct fire from a thermobaric rocket is guaranteed instant death". There is nowhere to hide from a flamethrower rocket, it kills you in a ditch, in a tank, in a building, in the open. No injuries, only death.
1
Viper-ms9eg YouTube blocks URL links. Just google "Russia artillery drone targeting system"
1
I don't trust anything from Ukraine; that "document" about 2045 is suspect AF....
1
If these NATO 'plans' are true, Russia should move up the offensive timeline, even if just by a few weeks. Once they are in or beyond those "blocking" areas; there is nothing NATO can do that won't start WW3.
1
For months I didn't believe NK troops were in Russia to fight, no matter what Ukraine or US said, because no army fights without its hardware, and there was zero reports of any large amounts of NK hardware entering Russia. Such hardware would be impossible to hide. Well, a couple of days ago a RU Telegram channel I've followed for over a year (and just reports on military activity of Russia---no politics), showed the 122mm D-74 gun in action. That gun was retired from RU service in the 80s and NK is known to operate many of them. Today I just saw on that same channel a railcar of at least a dozen, monster 170mm M-1978 SPG's. A gun that only comes from one place: North Korea. I'm a believer now; NK Army is there and they are there to fight.
1
Ukrainian counter-offensive in 2025: 400,000 women backed by 1 million FPV drones.
1
That kind of explains all the conscription talk out of the UK the past month
1
You know that if war were to "freeze" right now that means complete Russian win, correct?
1
Half the world is involved in this war, and most of the remaining half are directly affected by it. We don't realize it yet, but this is WW3 and it is nothing like we expected
1
Sigh...two years ago, I like everyone else thought "Russia will crush them in a few weeks or months". We all were wrong because Russian intel was wrong, Ukraine had far more NATO weapons than anyone knew. However, once Russia retreated and Putin said they were switching to "total war" economy, I knew what we see today would be the result eventually. Once they got the Steamroller fully ready, they started on November 7th or so and its just going to keep slowly grinding AFU to dust.
1
If Russians break out in force, they must not stop. Anywhere there is resistance, just go bypass and keep going. Dont worry about supply, go for the jugular in Kyiv and end the war. Battle of France part deux
1
Hmm interesting news about the AFU desires for engineering equipment. A smart general would have already gotten all that before his attack, which just confirms what I've been guessing for the past several days. I don't think Napolensky had a real goal in mind other than to go in there and make mayhem. Every day his stated "goal" has changed; on day 2 it was "bring war to Russia", day 4 "embarrass Putin" , day 7 "make a buffer", now its "dig in stay and become an irritant". AFU had no plan because the whole thing was desperation from the start; Syrski just winging it as they go. That said; RU cannot sit back an allow them to build up a mini-Tokmak. That is the mistake Ukraine made last year, so that would be embarrassing for RU to allow that to be done to them. I'm certain they won't allow this and the key to stopping it is FABs. RU may not have enough to operate two Donbas style offensives at the same time, but imho they better find enough air power to turn the Kursk salient into Donbas part 2. They have a little time, maybe a month at most. Strong fortifications take time to build...."

Well, we all know the point now, right from Zelensky. In 1945, the Imperial Japanese Navy, fully aware the war was unwinnable and down to their last capital ship, sent the super battleship Yamato directly at the US Navy invasion fleet at Okinawa. With only enough fuel to reach its destination, none of the 2000+ sailors aboard expected to return; their only goal to meet the US Navy in a glorious 200 ships vs. 1 ship battle where they would go down fighting and become an eternal legend. What choice did they have? Surrender and let the Americans take the largest warship in human history home as a prize? Never. Zelensky was inspired by this historical occasion and-----for the first time ever in my life----I kind of respect him a little bit now...."
1
LOL, 1980s really.

Iskander fragmentation pattern is size of football field.
1
Not a single penetration to the E or W of Robotyne means the Russians just allowing Ukraine to push deeper into the "venus flytrap". Ukraine has no ability to stop Lancet, so if there are no Lancets its because Russia is holding them back. RU wants the Challenger 2 to show up and it won't unless the Ukrainians believe there is a "breakthrough" of the line. RU is hoping they take the bait...
1
All this back and forth can't change the harsh math. Ukraine has 25K-45K for this "operation" with zero reserves (they had to rush some troops back up to the border with Belarus last weekend when Lukashenko got angry at them). The RU army based at Kursk (that was preparing to invade through Sumy) is about the same size, that's why the back and forth the last three days, no one can overpower the other. That time is over now. More units have arrived and more are coming every minute. Once RU has the force advantage we all know what will happen. AFU can't cross anywhere else easily because this was the only point where the mines were removed (and they don't have another offensive army to do it with anyway). The hard truth cuts both ways..."
1
OMG....FAB 3000??? 6600 pound guided bombs? The guys calling in airstrike better be precise with those GLONASS coordinates as the kill radius of a bomb that big is probably a kilometer from impact point!

Anyone not blinded by hatred for Putin or the propaganda of NATO knew there is no way Ukraine could defeat Russia. Napoleon and Hitler couldn't defeat Russia. Even NATO knew it too; just listen to the words of Blinken this week saying the same thing he said 18 months ago. "Opportunity to degrade Russia's military"---his words not mine. US NEVER expected (or tried) to "win". Just weaken Russia as much as possible. Putin, of course knows this, which is why he never once broke a sweat. This damned war is over. The Abrams will never arrive as Biden realizes it'll just burn on the field like the Leopard 2/Challenger 2. No need to delay calling it; this is over and Russia has won.
1
All the past six weeks I thought this was the "Russian Steamroller". This is just some shaping, some preparation for the real thing next Spring then? Whoa....
1
I've learned over the past two years that Russia and Putin will always tell you exactly what they are doing if you are willing to listen. The entire war, Russia has said their goal is "demilitarization". To most in the West that means something like "take away your weapons" or "disband your army", which is true. However in the Russian meaning, it also means "kill or maim every Ukrainian that could possibly hold a rifle or drive a tank". You scratch your head at the actions of Russia over the past three months, but then you remember that "demilitarization" of Ukraine is the point, and it all makes sense.
1
You should probably not speak about military matters anymore....
1
Ukraine intelligence said today that Kh-101 parts they recovered last night show the missile was made in 2023. CNN/BBC said Russia was running out of missiles a year ago....
1
This still isn't "proof" those dots are NK soldiers, but I will admit I have not previously seen the Russians attack like that. We've seen buggies, "sons of anarcy", tanks, turtles, BMP, but I can't recall a Russian infantry only assault on foot in daylight.
1
I'm sure Mitsubishi would love for their trucks to NOT be constantly showing up in videos being blown to bits by Russian FPV drones.... Also that vid from Pokrovsk clearly shows how powerful these FPV drones are; the entire front of that van was literally blown off by the first drone. We are so used to watching armored vehicles just shrug off one or two hits and we get the sense these drones aren't that powerful. Then we see what a single drone can do to a civilian truck or van and we realize just how heavily armored tanks, APCs, and IFVs really are.
1
Wow, Tornado-S has 120 km range. "Those hits were at least 60 km from the front line; assume the launcher is 20 km back thats at least 80 km a rocket with a 500 lb warhead lands right on the roof of your storage barn."
1
Made a simple point about FPV drones and armored assaults, and YT deleted it. I see nothing has changed even after Trump's victory.... Can't do any discussion of tactics without the dam censorship because some NAFO bot might get his feelings hurt....
1
Saw that 155th on France24 ; using old French equipment that was gonna be retired soon anyways. Wondered where they'd be deployed and how they'd fight. I am surprised so many ran away at first contact. HL did a deep dive on the 155th a month ago they had AMX-10 and the FAMAS rifle to replace their AKs. For them to crack so quickly is a monstrous embarrassment for France and Ukraine
1
I've watched this channel for over two years; part of its appeal is the "theories". Some he got right, others he got wrong, but for me that is a reason I watch. His "theories" are based in fact and experience, and even when wrong, they were credible , not wild fantasy like the "Abrams in Moscow" or "Tokmak in ten days" like you see on Davyov.
1
No one in the West ever even brings it up, and if they do it is ignored. Those people are civilians and the West says nothing about AFU going after them. Very ugly...
1
Ukraine definitely has the plucky underdog thing going for them. Their hits in Moscow mean more to them that it does to Russia.
1
No more Abrams sightings?
1
Ukraine has been massing in Orekhov for months; every armored vehicle coming to the front through Novo-Danilovka originated in Orekhov. A tactical nuke on Orekhov would have wiped out the entire NATO-trained force in one go and the war would be over. I have no idea what Putin is doing.....I guess he has his reasons.
1
If AFU is really going to make a new offensive to grab territory before winter, I do not see how they are not going to die like flies. I swear Ukraine does things that violate decades, even centuries of military wisdom, and they get their ass handed to them as a result. An all-out attack on Bakhmut? Where 100,000 Russians and 900 tanks have been sitting for months?? A push into Zaporizhzhia by some amphibious means, where anything strong enough to carry a 75-ton tank will be quickly seen and obliterated, meaning just another "Zergling Rush" like they've done in Robotyne?? Like in June, they make a "public service" video talking about "Shhhh" before their Grand Spring Offensive. What army has ever done that?? What General tells his enemy he is coming?? Then for the next four months they tell everyone that they are inflicting more losses on Russia than they are taking, even though they are the ones attacking. They really believe their Western backers are stupid.
