Russian engineers already planning to switch from washing machine chips to those from a microwave oven. Iskander will now hit 10 feet further away from aim point....

"You are outnumbered 10 to 1, so keep fighting" ---- Imperial Japan 1945

In a global economy, a country the size of Russia, with the resources it has, is impossible to isolate. It has an abundance of food and energy, two of the most critical needs in human life. No amount of Western finger wagging will stop people who are cold and hungry....

On another note, I think this is the first time I've seen a major media site interview a person who was in transit for the entire interview. Impressive.

I have lost count of the number of instances where NATO has tried to "hurt" Russia in some way the past two years, and each has resulted in COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE.

If the part about the Swedes is true (and there are posts from Swedish bloggers that confirm it), this is a disaster of EPIC proportions for NATO. Those Swedes were training Ukrainians on using the AWACS EW planes announced earlier this year they were going to donate to Ukraine. The Swedes themselves lost their experts in AWACS , now making THEM far more vulnerable than they otherwise would be. Since the Napoleonic Wars, Sweden has not initiated any direct armed conflict with anyone and here in 2024 somehow Joe Biden convinced them to change hundreds of years of policy and look what they get for it. "...it may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal..." - Henry Kissinger

I'm sure they were impressed by Biden sending an American "Karen" to threaten them...π

US Senator Lindsey Graham (biggest anti-Russia Hawk in Congress) yesterday: "I want the $10 to $12 TRILLION in critical minerals inside Ukraine to go the West, not to Putin and China." There ya go...
92
Russia is still being too gentle; they keep leaving the buildings still standing. IDF would be very unhappy with Russian performance...
89
The Bear will take Odessa for the family
84
Zelensky insane.... Everything out his mouth is a lie or fantasy. Only lost 30K soldiers, right?"
76
Germany's "friends" putting her in her place yet again....
72
How can Russian people NOT be "pro-Russian?? Outsiders really don't understand that region
69
Ukraine asked NATO to train their new conscripted army in Ukraine not Europe. If they send the conscripts to Poland or Germany half will run away ππ
67
DW always shows us an apartment building...after two years, do people still think Russia aims at apartment buildings?
66
Basically this was Putin's Victory Lap.
64
Still no mythical North Koreans??
62
Japan delivered some jeeps to Ukraine yesterday, and said they'd send some Patriot batteries too. That makes 52 countries fighting Russia, and Russia is somehow winning. Amazing.
55
RU flag shown today over Vovchansk hospital; by tomorrow the whole place will be liberated.
46
May have been a diversion; RU just took Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia. Thats the only town AFU captured last summer; gone now.
46
Those of us who get our news from OTHER than Western Media have known this for months; a LOT you don't know.
41
That's about as believable as Macron saying "I am not French!"
41
Ask Boris Johnson to ride a bike to power the lights; without him the war would've ended over a year ago π
39
Well, we learned from Putin last night that Germany has many options to get cheap LNG from Russia, but either they (or Ukraine) has opted not to do so. Instead, they pay much higher rates to get it from Europe or US which has smashed their economic competitiveness. As long as the German people accept this as the "price" for supporting Ukraine, things will probably not get too bad. I would not count on that lasting very much longer however...
38
Β @Silent_SteelΒ LOL. Russia keeping Crimea is the definition of "winning".
38
Putin never said a weapon would be an "Act of War" ; until today.
38
The fact it took almost two years to get it hides the fact Ukraine was given enough equipment, guns, and ammo to make them the largest standing army in Europe. Yet still they could win no battles with it. That is the hard truth; they need a Napoleon and all they have is Zaluzhny.
37
He looks and sounds like a man who knows he has won.
36
A Tsar is born...
35
I would never trust DW or CNN/BBC/France24 to tell me.... Didnt even bother watch it....."
35
Only one of the six key fortified cities anchoring the entire Donetsk defense line since 2014, a line centered on Pokrovsk. Not important at all CNN says...π
35
The simple hard truth is that had Ukraine won last summer (or heck even made it difficult for Russia in any way), every EU leader would have Zelensky's bank wire instructions on their desk. They failed completely and all the pretty words and spin cannot change history. The goal is now help preserve what they have and hope they still exist 2 or 3 years from now.
33
"Fight Russia for me" is the "plan"
32
Please dont ever use the term "game changer" anymore. It is the kiss of death
32
Wow. Shoigu really has managed the logistics of RU war machine well the last two years.
31
Drones didn't do that. Something with a lot more firepower did that...
31
I'm 49 and will never vote for a President who uses language like "Our Global Order" , or "regime change" ever again.
29
Strange. That is exactly what Putin said about NATO in the Carlson interview. Ukraine and Russia had a deal in Istanbul; NATO came in and said "you want Zelensky to sign when you are surrounding Kyiv? Give him a sign that you won't crush them" So Putin pulls back, but then Boris jumps in and floods Ukriane with anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles and convinces Zelensky to fight. Rest is history....
29
West media hyping this guy as if he were Peter The Great. They never mentioned Gonzalo Lira....
27
From now on, any device I buy with a radio I need to see a chain-of-custody document and an inspection to be sure it doesn't have an Israeli bomb installed....
27
Hotels full of NATO troops, right? This is not journalism; you didn't talk to any of the people staying there waiting to be liberated.
26
Because pay is much better in Britain. Their own government should create incentives for them to stay. Have to compete in a global economy
24
As soon as I hear "full-scale" in any story about Ukraine, I click to something else....bye
23
RU and NK didn't ally themselves to win the war (the war is already won); they joined together to win the peace ....
23
"Russian city of Donetsk in far Western Russia" Get it right, DW.
23
Very same happening here in the United States. A lot of domestic violence these past few years; they say it spiked during the pandemic.
23
Funny how you only remark about that now, when two days ago Netanyahu made a speech riddled with Biblical references to support his side.....
22
I am certain Biden, Austin, Milley and Johnson are regretting not just negotiating this in September, 2021. Look at the global catastrophe that simply could have been avoided
22
Russia has had Novomykhailivka 75% surrounded for about two weeks now. They don't even bother to try to cut the last road in because as long as AFU sends men in, RU happy for them to come as they'll never leave. When Ukraine finally stops trying to save the town, RU will take the rest and move to the next town. That is how absurd this has become; Ukrainian men are now walking across the river at shallow spots to escape to Romania.
