Houthis 1, Royal Navy 0

This artifice of "here, shoot this at my enemy for me so I don't get in trouble with him" is going to fall apart very soon right in front of our eyes. NATO has found that its older, simpler weapons can't hurt Russia, so it want to use its new, advanced ones. However it takes years of training and a multi-domain professional military to use advanced weaponry---something Ukraine doesn't have. Biden could give Ukraine a Ford-class supercarrier, but Ukraine couldn't find 10 men qualified to operate it. So that means the US Navy would have to, and at that point, the US and Russia are at war; Ukraine is just the battlefield.
7
....and we all hear about it RIGHT AFTER the US Senate approves $95B or Israel/Ukraine/Taiwan, and the US House must decide whether to vote on it or not. Yeah, "coincidence" 😂
7
How you think Europe pays for the lavish benefits and healthcare they all enjoy the past 80 years??? By NOT spending much on defense (and leaving that to the US). Guess what? It is 2024 and not 1944 and America is not the same as it was 80 years ago. Germany/France/UK had massive armies not that long ago....ya'll can do it again if you have to.
7
100% correct. Prigozhin's beef with the Military and Putin was that they were taking the measured approach which was costing Wagner (and RU Army) lives unnecessarily.
7
Won't matter. The territory is not the point, the point is membership in NATO. Any part of Ukraine in NATO means the US can put missiles on that land. Which, is the whole reason for the war. Ukraine, no matter how big or small, must be neutral and host no NATO missiles. "Demilitarized"
6
When did he say he would CONTINUE ON TO EUROPE???
6
While Russia's influence over the BRICS and the African continent grows... Massive upgrade.
6
They asked the UN for help too (why did DW leave that out). If UN helps them, what is your problem?
6
Are they including Novorossiya in "Ukraine". No landmines in Mariupol; just new construction everywhere...
6
Zelensky admits Ukraine can't take any territory back without US missiles landing on Russia (and all experts including Austin say that won't change anything). SO. Ukraine must surrender. Period. Which EU army going to fight Russia for Zelensky? None. So surrender is the only option.
6
LOL. The post-Ukraine world already beginning to take shape...
6
I don't see how when RU has five times as many....and the artillery to go along with it.
6
If the rules can be broken anytime, then they are meaningless in the first place. EU may "win" this little tug-of-war, but plant the seed of its own future destruction. Years from now, another difficult issue with no consensus and some simply say "look at 2023, we are going to do it anyway".
6
Because they PAID for them? Or built them themselves.
6
Who are the Turks arming up for? They are amassing a significant military capability and what is it for? They are a NATO member so like all members they can just sit back and let the US protect them; but they have not been going that route the past decade or so. They planning on rebuilding the Ottoman Empire???
6
We do. We urge them to negotiate
6
China and Russia interests do not currently contradict each other much, if at all. China can be seen to "win" today on the diplomatic front, as long as Russia "wins" on the military one.
6
VW closing factory for first time in 87 years, just as China dumping impossibly cheap EVs into Europe. The destruction of Nordstream by the US/UK devastated the German economy to $700B economic loss, having to buy LNG from US at 4x what Russia charged is unsustainable. German competitiveness is gone and they simply cannot afford for this war to continue as it is impoverishing them..."
6
No trip needed; Putin has offered to begin talks at least four times in just the past month
6
As long as they have hypersonic shovels, seems to be pretty difficult.
6
Does US still pay all of Poland's public sector salaries and pensions just like we are doing for Ukraine? Just another welfare state...
6
Surrender and you'll be warm.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it: The M1 Abrams is going to be massacred long before it ever even sees another tank to shoot at. Russia's Orlan drone loiters in the sky at will 70 km deep into Ukrainian territory and has been doing so all year long. The new Lancet attack drone now has 80 km range (just look up this week's strike on a Mig-29 70 km from the front). The Abrams' turbine engine will glow like a 4th of July sparkler to the thermal sights of the Ka-52, whose new missiles have 14 km range and are "fire-and-forget", not like the 8 km range ones that required the gunner to maintain lock that were used to decimate AFU at Bradley Square in June. The Orlan (Eagle) got a new targeting system a year ago called "EYE" (get it? EAGLE EYE? 🙂) that directly slaves it to the fire control of any TOS-1A or Tornado-S MLRS, or Krasnopol laser guided 152mm shell, meaning as soon as Orlan spots one, DFA is on the way. If, by some Divine Blessing, an Abrams survives all that to reach the combat line, the Kornet missile will rip it open just like it did the Challenger 2 a couple weeks ago. With double the bounty on it now because it is a US tank, any Ukrainian going into battle in that thing is a dead man walking.
6
This is a huge escalation; far greater than any number of tanks. A highly accurate, stealthy cruise missile with 400 mile range puts much of Western Russia under direct threat. UK would never have done this without assurances from America that they will be protected from Russian response.
5
That's like saying Florida is a "Caribbean nation". 😂
5
Zelensky should have offered the illegal immigrants on America's border citizenship in Ukraine for any that will come back with him and fight. He might have gotten a brigade or two...
5
Since they are not NATO, they can see with clear eyes. No matter what success they may have, the US/UK will torpedo it by telling Zelensky "if you sign, we will no longer give you tanks and security support". Just like they did last December when Ukraine was seriously considering peace.
5
LOL. The fact they haven't had to pay for that $100 BILLION DOLLAR car in the garage??? If I didn't have to pay for my Ferrari, my balance sheet would look a lot better too!! 🙂
5
Storm-Z watches and laughs.

FPV drones are the future, but Russia dominates Ukraine in this realm too. Russian ones are manufactured by their MIC, not built at home by hobbyists or stitched together from racing drones bought off Ebay. Just spend a week watching FPV attack video (there's a LOT of it) from either side, you'll clearly see the Russian ones are far more robust, bigger rotors, bigger antennae, etc. with military displays. The Ukraine ones still have the display from the racing drone manufacturer. Also, Russia has far greater drone jamming tech, again from their MIC. Ukraine is definitely fighting well with FPV drones, but Russia just has better ones and more of them. Pretty much like everything else.
5
30??? Ukraine wishes they had such a low cut off. They've had 55 year old men in their Territorial Defense Units for over a year now. They are actually training 60,000 of their women to go to the front and fight tanks and helicopters. You'd think CNN would love a story like that but two weeks after I read it in UK news, nothing on CNN about it.
5
@AmericanTough 1. None of the missiles fired at Ukraine the day before were cluster munitions. 2. Ukraine signed the agreement with NATO; no one forced them to.
5
To IDF, that dark blue color is the "uniform" of a second opposing army...
5
Putin said he wants them out by October, his army just doing what they are tasked
5
Just saw Russian flag over Avdiivka...NATO better stop throwing good money after bad in Ukraine. They lost this one, better start preparing for the next (even bigger one) as Russia is.
5
LOL. That'll scare 'em.....
5
Zelensky intransigence and the shattered look of their soldiers, has Ukraine reminding me of Imperial Japan near the end
5
US corps ADM, Cargill, Monsanto etc. are using the cheap grain they extract from Ukraine to sell to non-EU markets. Of course this depresses prices wherever such grain is found. That's what they are mad about.
5
No more Western jokes about the T-54 now.... flapping mouths have been shut by reality. Can you say "desperation"?
5
IKR!! The "copium" is flowing like a river the past couple months since the "Spring Offensive" began.
5
Since June 5th, Ukraine has suffered 28,000 casualties, and that is coming from an array of military analysts and even the mainstream media who reported the 30% losses in Western equipment over same period. This is BEFORE the massive attacks of last week!! Even if you cut that number in HALF, that is an annualized casualty rate of over 85,000. That is almost the entire amount of soldiers Ukraine has deployed. The Telegraph had report two weeks ago that Ukraine's 48th Mountain was training 60,000 women for combat operations! A nation that is willing to throw its women, the only ones who can birth its future, into the meat grinder, is a nation that deserves to lose. This is insane. Armistice. Now.
5
That is about what, 20 Patriot missiles?
5
We've seen many videos of Russian lancet drones diving on these so how good can it really be?
5
Funny question. You have to get the Abrams to Crimea for Russia to have to worry about "losing" it. The Ukrainian 🇺🇦 counter-offensive is more or less over. According to White House officials Ukraine has sustained roughly 76,000 casualties since it began 3 months ago. It was nothing short of a slaughter..
5
In the long term of course, but as of today NATO is probably weaker than its ever been.
5
@raymondparnell439 That is near the front when they are attacking a contested city; 500km away??? What tactical point is there to put a $1M missile into an apartment building??
5
What is "Far Right" in EU terms? What policy makes one Far Right?
5
Obviously, not very much....
5
Two different countries. Keep cope alive tho...😂
