  3. Perhaps he was doing the loaning? I would imagine this show is like american reality. They also make the show more interesting by leaving out some of the information to make it look shocking. I take some details with a grain of salt.

  4. Not making a husband meals is grounds for divorce in Korea? Does he not have two hands and a brain to be able to figure out how to feed himself? I hated that bully at the office. Glad the bully lost him. The MIL was too much to throw her DIL out of the house for not getting pregnant. The husband seemed to want a divorce first when he found out she was overweight. The awful things he said and the way he treated her should have been more worthy of a divorce than tossing the MIL cooking. If he wants to eat moms side dish let him visit mom. Gosh. The wife is sick with eating disorders. Is there no sickness and health in the vows?

  6. I think she was taught by him to give undivided attention to him. It wasn't enough and her attention was diverted but also with the unhealthy focus she learned being his wife. He still is like a child wanted her not to have healthy boundaries but to return to giving him that undivided attention. They both should be serving others, perhaps they should have a child? I think they should do volunteer work together as a couple. He needs to be selfless and she needs to let her nephews parents raise him with a healthy weekly visit. Let dad enjoy paternity leave and bond healthy relationship with his son. She has much to give to others. I think she work somewhere else. Too much togetherness.

  7. I really liked the grandma in Five Children. She was a much different character so it's nice to see her a bit different. Very talented actress. I loved when she poured water on the daughter.

  8. The mom is cleaning, feeding and keeping the kids out of trouble. She was forced to flee because of a world unfair to people expressing opposite views. I think it's hard to learn a language in your older years. It is why many countries prefer younger immigrants who can acclimate to the language. In canada or the US the school would have a translator for parent teacher communications. Not just the child.

  22. Every family has this discussion. It’s not just unique to Korea. Thanksgiving. Why must there be 12 different dishes for 10 people plus 4 desserts, veg tray, olive pickle tray and several beverage choices? And too much is made. Just a meat, rolls, starchy light veg, veg and a pie and call it a day. Could she and her husband have just made two fancy dishes, the soup and rice, another bring the fruits and rice cakes and alcohol and veg?

  25. Loved the series. Very different story. I didn’t love the end. I would have done a different ending. But it was really good. Nice twists with the plot. Loved “becki”. And the dancer was a nice character as well. Kim Rae Won wonderful like always. Remembered “Sharon” in I Love You from a decade ago. Also the male and female both in My Little Bride also from a decade ago. Can’t believe I have been watching Korean shows for so long.

  31. She had been harassed for ten years, since high school. And with no one her side to help. I don't know how they enforced coerced financial contracts. He got rid of a money debt that thugs forced her fingerprint on, not unlike the MIL and the cheating contract from an earlier episode.

After all her father didn't support his own mother or their current nuclear family. It was all her mother and the money she took from the daughter.   41. What wrong with my father. My golden life. Five children. Laurel Tree Tailor. These series were excellent. Because they had awesome supporting characters and awesome relationships. There were many people being rooted for. This series is a mess. Some of the same actors yet this show is a mess.

  46. It was for hiding out. She sadly would have gotten something if she hadn’t hid. She wanted to spare the kids being the kid of a murderer. Instead they lived under suspicion the father murdered the mom. Lots of resources went into uncovering her disappearance and the victim.

  47. He married her only cause her father was mentoring him to take over the company instead of his own son, the current head and mischief maker. Why did the daughter just run the company? Or why not just have companies in Korea run by ordinary people instead of family. It was not a love marriage.

In high school you are on various tracks, vocation, social studies, science or a specialized high school like language or the arts. The mom would have stopped the math tutoring saving tons of money and had a happy kid doing her schoolwork if she listened. The dad could have also listened.

Her son is a special kind of person in her eyes. It's snobbery. She didn't even care what sort of person her former DIL was. As long as she guaranteed her dad would give him the company. Even the thugs mom complained she wanted her son to marry to a teacher. Occupation is everything.
