All
All depends on what you're used to experiencing.

I noticed that in another clip I watched about this story. It's probably a former US President or Vice President, but it looks like Lenin to me.
1
I don't know how much it costs to attend a French medical school, but perhaps the government could look into what some US states do, which is pay the tuition for the med student on the condition that she/he spend a certain amount of years (usually about five) working in an underserved location.

@tyroniousyrownshoolacez2347 Czar Nicholas II was a first cousin of George V, Queen Elizabeth's grandfather.
1
"But, Mommy, other people did bad things too!" is not a defense.
1
@raljame If you're trying to minimize the seriousness of one event by bringing up an unrelated one, that's trying to defend the former. By the way, no one but you made the assumption I was a Democrat. It just goes to show how indoctrinated many people are when they assume that everyone falls under one of two categories.
1
@raljame Context is everything. Read the second sentence of that post as well as the first and you'll see that I don't affiliate with either mainstream party.
1
@TOSStarTrek He? Marine Le Pen is female.
1
I get that you're a fan, but Biden wasn't seen or mentioned in this video.
1
This isn't CNN's channel.
1
@frankguz55 Then don't use social media (including this site, by the way) and encourage the people you know not to use it. Never let a government make that decision for you.
1
How so? Impeachment, in and of itself, is nothing more than a fancy way of saying indictment. Biden would still have to be tried by the Senate and two-thirds of that body would have to vote to convict for him to be removed. Assuming every Republican Senator votes for a conviction (which I don't think will happen, but let's pretend), 18 Democratic Senators would also have to do the same. Do you seriously think that's going to happen?
1
If Harry and Meghan want to keep media attention down, I don't think this move will do it. Harry may not remember this, but when his mother tried to withdraw from public life after her separation from his father, the media's appetite for her actually increased.

This scam was run by private citizens, not the government.
1
Wouldn't that depend on what the immigrant is looking for in a new country? She/he might be deliberately looking for a place that's not "exciting".
1
In a general sense, I would agree, but what does that have to do with this video?
1
The question is, though, how many people might end up infected from this one person, and how many people will those people infect, and so on ... ?
1
"Why not work to better your own country?" If you're American, I can guarantee there are quite a few people in your family tree who immigrated here because the conditions (economic and/or sociopolitical) in their home countries were so miserable and/or dangerous that they felt they had no choice but to emigrate.
1
@HypocriticYT Assuming you're either referring to those who came during the early days of European settlement in what would become the US or to those who came later and decided to settle beyond the cities and towns of the East, the native peoples already here would probably have disagreed that the land was "empty". Also, not every immigrant came during those early days or decided to go West. Many (especially those who came during the latter part of the 19th century) decided to stick to the larger cities (or, as you put it, "lands that were completely made into human habitat with roads etc."). Regardless, where and/or when our immigrant ancestors settled in this country wasn't my original point. My point was that the reasons why they came here weren't all that different from why people from Mexico and other Latin American countries want to come here now. By claiming the latter should stay in their home country and work to fix whatever problems they face is essentially saying that your own ancestors should never have come here. If they had stayed, you probably would never have existed.
1
If I remember what I read correctly, the basis of Parler's suit has nothing to do with freedom of speech, but breach of contract.
1
So military and diplomatic personnel serving outside the US wouldn't be allowed to vote in your fantasy world then?
1
@MICHAEL WOOD: Can it be stopped this late in the process? I can't imagine that would go over well with the EU.
1
If that were to happen, Trump could find himself without a Twitter account. Do you think Twitter wouldn't ban any accounts that could possibly open it up to lawsuits? For example, if Twitter could be sued now for the content on its site, Joe Scarborough would have grounds for a libel suit against Twitter for allowing Trump's tweets that are accusing him of murder. Twitter would want to prevent problems like that, so it may not have much choice but to block accounts it knows are contentious , including Trump's.
1
If their place of employment requires it, no, unless they want to lose their job.
1
@James Macfarlane: The Queen was born and raised in the UK, as were her parents, grandparents, her paternal great-grandfather, and her paternal great-great-grandmother. How is she German, other than having some distant ancestry?
1
Lawn Mower Depends on your opinion about vaccinations and the mandatory administration of them, I would imagine.
1
Lawn Mower I don't know if I'd use that label because it's not as if I go around waving pom poms and shouting "Rah Rah Vaccinations!" I just want people, especially children, to be protected as much as possible from preventable illnesses and the after effects of said illnesses. And since vaccinations help accomplish that goal, I'm okay with that.
1
@Ghastly_Grinner I'll wholeheartedly agree that people who try to enter our country illegally should be dealt with according to the law. However, that doesn't give our government the right to treat them worse than animals.
1
@Ghastly_Grinner Despite the wishes of some people. 😒
1
It's been my experience that when someone says "check that out" or a similar phrase, it usually means that person has no proof of his/her claims. Otherwise, she/he would have directed the reader to reputable sources that supported his/her accusations.
1
@elmsanti574 Speculation based on one visit is not proof.
1
@horseplop9 All the PM said was that the idea of the US buying Greenland was absurd. She didn't say anything nasty or anti-American.
1
If a drug dealer was arrested and his kid happened to be with him, should that kid go to jail as well? If your answer is no, then why are you in favor of punishing teens/young adults for the crimes of their parents?
1
@KeithCindyPanama Trump/DeSantis won't happen. The US Constitution prohibits electors voting for both a presidential and vice-presidential candidate from the same state as the elector. In other words, electors from Florida wouldn't be able to vote for both Trump as President and DeSantis as Vice President because both men are also from Florida. Florida electors could vote for Trump for President and someone else for VP or vice versa, however. No political party is going to risk losing a state with as many Electoral College votes as Florida by nominating both a presidential and vice presidential candidate from that state.
1
Then why are you encouraging France 24 to continue being a "disinformation machine"?
1
Trump would be nothing but a crispy shell if that were to occur.
1
I was under the impression that Israelis like Netanyahu believe Gaza should be Israeli territory, so why does he approve of Tr--p's inane idea?
1
Are you talking about the Spanish flu? It was called that because Spain was the first to report the pandemic, not because it had anything to do with creating the virus.
1
What other country did you expect a French news channel to focus on?
1
Ironically, a shoe ad played before this video started.
1
@_ata_3 I think ChocoLater meant how long specific signs must be kept up.
1
The goal is to get more people to use it.
1
I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition. 🙃
1
I find it difficult to take your complaint seriously if you can't correctly spell the name of the group you're advocating for.
1
@kerri7971 Freedom of speech doesn't mean that people aren't immune from criticism when they exercise that right.
1
@kerri7971 "That wasn’t criticism that was the left challenging the Presidents comment." That falls under criticism.
1
If you like the US government deciding what sites you're allowed to use, it's fantastic. 🙄
1
@icu17siberia If you're not from the US, it's not. However, for those of us that are, banning a form of communication violates the principle, at the very least, of the amendment to our Constitution that guarantees free speech.
1
Which is his right, but the general consensus is that not enough votes would switch to change the outcome.
1
And I'm sure you have proof of that which was submitted to the appropriate authorities.
