+Απόστολος Κοκκαλης In regards to the actor that best portrays the character of Sherlock Holmes as presented in the original stories, I'll wholeheartedly agree that the best was Jeremy Brett. Now as far as Cumberbatch is concerned, if you don't like him as an actor in general, that's fine. Everyone to their own opinion and all that. However, if you don't think he's a good actor because he doesn't portray Sherlock Holmes exactly as in the stories, just remember that he's only acting out what was written for him. If you don't like the characterization, blame Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

2:49 and 3:08 -- Creepiness factor times 1000 if you know that those two are brother and sister in real life.
2
The story I heard (whether it's true is another matter) was that Marvel really didn't want anyone other than Cumberbatch for this role, but when he initially declined, that's when they approached Phoenix.
2
+Jordan Rhea Pretty much the only reason she's even known is because she's Elvis' daughter and Michael Jackson's ex-wife. I think she tried a music career of her own, but if she's still doing that, her audience isn't mainstream.
2
+Jess Caron As far as best Doctor, I have to abide by the Brigadier's assessment: Splendid chaps, all of them. My favorite companion (classic era): Leela My favorite companion (modern era): Donna My opinion on Moffat: He's the love child of the Master and Moriarty. : D

+Jen Zim Knowing the type of people that slither around the Internet, I'm sure there's at least a handful of people that probably do think it was faked. : )
2
Man of a Thousand Faces, which featured James Cagney as Lon Chaney.
2
+Nate England It's also a very old genre. I know (even though I can't seem to remember the names of the movies at the moment) that I've seen silent films with either the same or a similar concept.
2
I'm fond of the late Princess Grace, but she was not the original "It" girl. The first woman to be identified in that way was Clara Bow back in the late 1920's.
2
The narrator said that the teams had to be comprised of more than two people.
2
+Chris Westergaard Don't get me wrong, I love the modern series, but the Sherlock version was essentially a new story inspired by the book. If I was WatchMojo, I wouldn't have included clips of it in the video either.
2
+Cat Hatdress I'm old enough to be your mother and I, too, still love Animaniacs.
2
+lauren dyet Assuming you're referring to the current program starring Benedict Cumberbatch, you can see the exterior of "221B Baker Street" on North Gower Street in London. I don't believe you can visit the set where the fictional flat's interior is located because that's only set up when filming (or so I was led to believe). Since Torchwood isn't currently on the air, I doubt the interior of the Hub is still set up. However, you can visit the area that's above where the Hub was located (Mermaid Quay at Cardiff Bay, Cardiff, Wales).

+blackfemme I'm White and I couldn't agree with you more about how Blacks get shut out of mainstream history classes (at least they did when I was going to school, I don't know about now). Up until my last couple of years of school, there wasn't one peep about any Blacks between the Civil War and MLK.
2
Learned something new today: I had no idea Errol Flynn was Australian. I always thought he was British.
2
If this really was a "Top 10 TV Dramas of All Time", where are the shows from the 50's through the 80's? This was more like, "Top TV Dramas of the Past 25 Years".
2
I know this sounds geeky, but what I wish they could've done at the end of the movie is have Pine's Kirk start "Space, the Final Frontier ...", then have the Captains from each TV series say a bit of it, ending with Shatner's Kirk.
2
7:40 -- One of the most ironic clips ever! 😁
2
Why did you click on this video then?
2
I would imagine that it would depend on the profession and where each partner is on the career ladder within that profession.
2
+Yeshu Prove to us that she didn't.
2
Despite the name, The Phantom of the Opera isn't an opera.
2
+Sammy Lane I don't think that was Henry Fonda, that looked more like McLean Stevenson to me.
2
+Vamshi Darisi I love Cumberbatch as Sherlock and as an actor, period. I think he is one of the best actors out there today. However, the highest he should be on any list of Sherlock portrayals is number two. Number one should always be Jeremy Brett.
2
Remington Steele should've been a honorable mention. If I remember correctly, pretty much the only definite thing we knew about his background by the time the show ended was who his biological father was.
2
Hellboy wasn't the only notable role for Ron Perlman in which he was heavily made up: Beast from Beauty and the Beast (co-starring Linda Hamilton) ring a bell?
2
+Mongo Boogie Non-human characters weren't eligible for this list. If they were, I know KITT would've been on the list instead of Knight.
2
The Doctor himself said that it's possible for him to die before regeneration can start, so I wouldn't have had him on this list. Jack, however, definitely does belong here.
2
+Kemyon Patrick I remember reading that. I'm in awe of people who can improvise like that, to me that shows some serious intelligence.
2
+Ida Berg That's pretty much true for most movies based off books.
2
+Darxis And when you sell it back, even if it's in pristine condition (no highlighter lines, notes or other damage), you get maybe $25 for that $150 textbook.
2
I think WatchMojo should've split this up into decades or generations or something along those lines because although certain events may have made the "world stand still" at the time, those same events are nothing more than words in a history book to subsequent generations.
2
This video lasted longer than Scaramucci did. 😁
2
+Sintar07 Oddly enough, I was just thinking about that recently. I'm not sure if there is one word or trope to define Q, but I don't think "villain" is it. He doesn't gain anything (other than relief of his boredom) from most of his encounters with the Enterprise. In fact, the opposite is usually true. The crew (usually Picard) almost always comes away from encounters with Q with a better understanding of themselves and/or the universe around them.
2
To mess up a quote of the Brigadier's: Splendid chaps, both of them. 😊
2
9:23 -- Is that Bruce Jenner? If so, the irony of the photographer moving the camera away from him to take a picture of a woman is beyond mere words.
2
That was the only one I knew was going to be on the list. Although my beliefs about homosexuality probably don't jive with a lot of people's, I have to appreciate what a strong statement having those two men performing together on stage was.
2
#10 -- What about the guy from the FedEx commercials in the 80's?
2
Rhapsody in Blue is a toughie to classify. My personal opinion (which is based on having no academic musical knowledge whatsoever) is that it's a hybrid: a blend of classical and jazz. I would imagine that classical music purists / snobs wouldn't consider any of Gershwin's works as being anything close to classical.
2
I remember WebTV. I actually was thinking of getting one, but I can't remember why I didn't. Just as well, right? : )
2
+camfoster16 theEaglesfan I would lean toward DiCaprio.
2
+Monika Devi Have you ever seen any of the series featuring Jeremy Brett? As much as I love the Cumberbatch, Brett is the definitive Holmes.
2
+Jason Birch Maybe they all forget about the brakes? ; D
2
+Russ Wright There's no question that Kennedy was killed. All of the conspiracy theories surrounding his assassination focus on who may have done it and/or who may have ordered it to occur.
2
Russ Wright You're welcome, but I don't think you were being stupid. There were a few celebrities on the list whose conspiracy theories focused on them possibly still being alive.
2
1:28 -- That's a very good example of why the #10 stereotype exists. People like Clinton can't or won't acknowledge that if someone enters this country without going through current legal procedures, that person is already a criminal.
2
+playstaionplayer 1220 He just lost one state, not the entire nomination (which I hope happens).
2
Mongo Boogie Kid friendly show. That's the term I was trying to think of. : )
2
Homer Simpson may be more popular, but if it wasn't for the success of Fred Flinstone, Homer would only be a doodle in Matt Groenig's sketchbook.
2
Oh, wow, you're right. I don't know if Matt Smith can pull off an American accent, but as far as looks go, he'd be a good contender for the lead if there ever was a movie about Lloyd.
