Nick Thorpe hahaha thanks Nick. So I’m just gonna out myself here, I do drink coffee but I use a Koffee Straw (from Amazon). I feel like a goofball doing it but it keeps my teeth from going brown haha

Ana S and Slayer hahaha great catch!

And then after Aang stands up to her, she says "you just stood your ground against a [whatever that thing is], and more impressive you stood up to me. You can do this, you're ready!" or something to that affect. The wording isn't exact, but right before his earthbending breakthrough she encourages him and says she believes in him

Hi Eugenia! Man or woman, you definitely want to calibrate your touch based on the relationship
137
Just bought one today! Thanks for your feedback, it'll be better in future videos.

Totally agree! I tried to pick things that I have specifically seen work well in real life interactions. There are certainly a LOT of things that Liza does that work specifically because it's in video format.
99
Haha thanks! I think ;-) We've been best friends for 15 years and I think we've just slowly stolen each other's mannerisms. People always ask if we're twins.
90
Hi C! Absolutely plan to do more women as well as men. Our most popular video ever is actually on Ellen Degeneres. Did you like the recent one on Margaery Tyrell?
89
What's up everybody! I'll be in the comments for the first hour if you've got questions, comments, or just want to say hi :-)
84
That's true, but after Aang stands up to her, she says "you just stood your ground against a [whatever that thing is], and more impressive you stood up to me. You can do this, you're ready!" or something to that affect. The wording isn't exact, but right before his earthbending breakthrough she encourages him and says she believes in him

Hey Rohan! We used to, now we live in Santa Monica, California. Still in the same apartment building but we've graduated to our own apartments haha
52
Noted!
49
Hahaha he just did the Dany and Jon video! He's alive and well I promise ;-)
45
Thanks man! I was nervous to see how people would respond to me since I'm not the face they've gotten used it. This made my day to read!
42
Chaos! Anarchy! Mwahahahaha 😈
41
Thanks that's awesome to hear!
40
Aku brilliant idea, great way to practice
37
Haha my face is my face Lui, for better or worse I'm stuck with it
36
Thanks Min! Some people don't like change. It's all good. Appreciate the kind words!
35
So question: what traits do you think his Joker has that are admirable or have lessons to learn from? Because I’m 100% with you that the Joker is fascinating to watch and the movie was excellent. I’m just not sure I’d want people acting like the Joker haha
34
Thanks Beaver!
34
It’s when you work 9am until 9pm the next day ;-)
33
Super fair point! I think touch is universally a good thing, but how you touch definitely varies culture to culture, you bring up a great nuance
32
Kim Birdwonders haha thanks Kim!
29
I'm pretty sure you just got me in a white t-shirt for life haha ;-)
24
This genuinely made me laugh out loud when I caught on halfway through. Thank you for this Mr. Bateman ;-)

Oooooo good question! This changes for me with time but what I've found the most useful is to have role models in specific areas. So I don't really have any role models where I'm like "I would really like that person's entire life and mindset" but I have a lot of people I look up to for certain aspects of them. Tony Robbins is someone I have learned a lot from, both in terms of coaching people, human psychology, and personal routines/habits. Tim Ferriss changed my life by writing Four Hour Workweek. One of my friend's from college Austen was the first charisma role model I ever had and still one of the most powerful personalities I've ever seen in real life. I admire Charlie in a lot of ways and learn a ton from him. Recently I've started reading about buddhism and I've started trying to find role models who can teach me more about just being present and being happy without having to achieve or need any boxes checked. That's been a huge change in my last 3 months. In some way a lot of the people we've broken down are role models. I admire The Rock for his work ethic and ability to connect with people, I admire Chris Hemsworth for how he raises up the people around him, etc. I don't know them personally but I try to learn from the aspects of them that impress me. That's what initially comes to mind, I'm sure I've forgotten a ton of past ones and even some present ones but hopefully that answers your question a little Adri!

@ethanlocke3604 To me that was the breakthrough moment. Of course not everyone has to agree with my interpretation. In my mind, if he had stood up to her and she had just said "cool whatever" and walked away, I don't think it would have necessarily been the catalyst for a big breakthrough in earthbending. Of course he's the avatar so he would have gotten it eventually. I just think that moment of positive reinforcement is what let's him break through the struggle he was having prior.

TheSingleGuy hahaha that’s a great comment. I guess it depends what job you’re leaving and what business you’re starting. And probably your personality. For me it did but you’re so right, some people probably experience the exact opposite.

I think Charity:Water is solid. Great advice though! They claim that 100% of money fundraised in campaigns goes to clean water projects, because they have separate fundraisers (from the uber wealthy would be my guess) to fund administrative stuff. This is my 'go to' website for checking out a charity's legitimacy, in case you want to check others in the future before you donate :-) https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12548

Thanks Nathan's Art Project!

Dudes, this was perfect online improv, I legitimately laugh out loud. Well played heightening :-)
18
Charlie has a video on this in process right now! Look out for it sometimes next week or the following :-)
18
Haha that's awesome! This is definitely not like the Trump bet though. Politics are based 100% on charisma (maybe 90% charisma, 10% policy). Boxing is a mix of mental and physical. Conor is the underdog and should be. I do think he has a very real chance though. Depends what odds you can get.

Thanks Nader!
17
Thanks Alex! I really appreciate your comment :-) I totally get the growing pains and understand where they’re coming from, but it isn’t always fun to read. Comments like yours really bring me up and inspire me to try to make great videos for you :-)
17
Yeah being the “new guy” isn’t always easy. Thank you for writing this, it means a lot to me :-)
17
Sure! I'm not a pro, perhaps I didn't speak the way a meditation trainer would. That's just how I've experienced it and how I would say it's been helpful to me personally :-)
16
Rubicante I 100% agree. I don’t think he’s acting, I think acting helped his habits become awesome Thanks for watching!
16
That's awesome! And yeah I think that's a great video idea. Years ago I could've just recording a video of Charlie arguing, would have been amazing! Sadly he's gotten much less stubborn with time haha
16
Thanks Sebastián!
16
That's Charlie. Can't you tell from his black shirt? ;-)
15
Sparky ! That’s awesome that you’re internalizing some of it! Good for you! The “normal” situations will become easier and more fun too I promise :-) Have you seen the Chris Pratt video? He’s a great example of someone who can have fun anywhere. I watch that once every few months myself, it’s one of my favorites :-)
15
You know it! Charlie’s working on it as I type this 👍👍
15
Thanks so much! Charlie and I were concerned about how people would react to bringing me in front of the camera. I'm stoked to hear you're enjoying my videos too! Appreciate you commenting :-)
15
I totally agree with all 3 of your points. This is definitely not like the Trump bet we put $2k on. Politics are 90% charisma, 10% policy. A fight is probably 75% physical, 25% mental (totally making that up but you get my jist) You also raise a great point, which is what happens if the fight starts to go a direction Conor hasn't envisioned. I would guess that similar to the Chad fight, Conor's vision of this one involves Floyd being very, very good and tough to hit and all that. My point was that no MMA fighter should have ANY chance against Floyd in a boxing match but fighting is part mental part physical, and Conor's mental game is insanely tight. Two weeks ago I would have said he had no in hell of winning this, but in the process of making this video I started to believe Conor can win just because he's been so successful at having an "impossible" vision (first man to KO Jose, first two weight champ, making this fight even happen in the first place) and achieving it.
15
Thanks! I brainstormed about 20 of them before landing on this one soooo pretty excited to read that haha
15
Hahaha I like yours even more than mine ;-)
15
Haha touché ;-)
14
That's awesome Mike! Hearing that we're making a difference in people's lives is the best part of making these videos so thank you for commenting :-)
