Jag has ALWAYS been low volume, its part of the business model. They have NEVER tried to be high volume and have always been more towards the upmarket. Its built in exclusivity.

American vehicles are so far behind because you insist on "bang for the buck" rather than accept that quality and actual luxury costs.

Your companies had to have separate arms in these areas because American design doesn't go down well. You even had to have a Scotsman as head of Ford design TWICE

There are different definitions of what luxury means, and just ticking a material in a box doesn't mean that its quality. Lincoln? Cadillac? They miss the luxury lark like Asian cars miss the mark.

Many American cars aren't even sold outside North America, tje ones that are tend to be from European/Australia arms of Ford and GM.

Fuel injection, 16 valve engines, catalytic converters, super chargers, turbo chargers, seatbelts, car safety, airbags, unleaded fuel, cruise control, sat nav etc have all had massive influences on . Besides, Electric cars don't really solve a problem.

European cars are ONE percent of global CO2, if you replaced them all with EV, you'd save the planet about 0.5% CO2 but ONLY after each and every one had done about 40,000 km. Hardly worth bothering. Cars are NOT the villain, just as planes are not. Climate maniacs are focussing on the WRONG target.

  24. The Google system is effective, but my god is it extremely limited. It does practically nothing other than provide basic information You cannot change much at all and it does not provide much information, the app is also worse than before and the build quality and materials has reduced from my precious V60. Still better than Ford ownership though

As for him being American, it was that British and Americans are very different in what we look for in a car. Americans for example only care about price, and not about quality.

Carwow is a system where you enter the details of a car you want and it goes to matket and gets dealers competing to give you the best quote. It doesnt do anything for Carwow to review a load of fars that arwnt even sold in Europe. Of course he review the odd leftfield car, but why waste his time on cars that make zero money for carwow?

An ice doesnt have to preheat any batteries with a heat pump to mitigate against massive range loss. Sounds like there was a problem with your S. Oil shouldn't drop at all to any noticeable level

YOUR car whilst you weirdly wait in the car park at - 15c for some reason is using a heat pump unkess you want to drain the battery , i didnt claim an ICE car was, it doesnt need to. Hvor i Norge er du? You dont think 25-30% loss is bad? 😂 😂 😂 Thats terrible loss. If an ICE car lost 30% MPG when it got cold it would be unacceptable.

  47.  @g0balot  30 % loss is both laughable and unacceptable. Imagine a Petrol car losing that much. In summer I get 40mpg, in winter I get 37.5. Barely noticeable and i have all the pre heating options, heated seats, steering wheel, windscreen etc too. Yes, ive been to Norway, i have worked in Stavanger. Norway is better set up for EVs than other European countries, hence why its better for you.
