  3. In what way did she make her points well? Why is it the governments responsibility to insulate YOUR home? It's YOUR home, you insulate it. She also lied that humans can only survive in a narrow temperature spread. We are also not in a climate crisis or emergency. We have the technology to deal with the effects. Fewer people by an order of magnitude are killed by weather than 100 years ago. She also claimed 330,000 people had died due to austerity. That isn't true, and she lied when she claimed insulation would stop wars and drought.

PS, what are you going to make roads, tyres, electrical insulation, plastic, insulation, cosmetics out of? You wouldn't last five minutes without oil and gas. It's not a transition as such, it's more a diversification of the sources of energy we have. 80% of our energy comes from oil and gas. It will take DECADES to change this. We have 30m plus properties supplied by gas in the UK, converting to an alternative would cost trillions. You going to pay so you can wear your halo? Furthermore, European cars are only 1% of global CO2. Even if you replaced them all it would only save the planet around 0.5% CO2 once all of those cars had covered 40k km.

  28. That's absolutely moronic . Scotland has a population of 5m, England is about 57m. Furthermore in regards to biomass, the issue is that in order to make it, trees are taken from Europe, transported by ship to Canada, turned into biomass using an industrial process and shipped back to Europe to be burnt as biomass. You don't see the complete lack of efficiency there? Furthermore, don't you think fossil fuels originally absorbed co2 from the atmosphere during the time at which the organic matter was alive? Doesn't seem you understand the carbon cycle very well.
