  4. @Gary Miller Why would Americans vote against a president who is at the helm of the best economic climate in decades? That doesn't even make sense. He negotiated a stop to nuclear and missile testing in North Korea. That's great news. He initiated prison reform and the first step program. Something that's been needed for a long time. He instituted an economic plan for depressed zones and it's been great for those who'd take advantage of it. Black unemployment, right now, is at its lowest in history. IN HISTORY!!! Also, the gap between white and black unemployment is at its lowest in history. He's the first president that has taken on the Chinese juggernaut, who've been flooding western stores with cheap products using production methods which include worker abuse, no quality control, no pollution standards, theft of intellectual property and just plain bullying of vulnerable markets. Finally, some one has had the man parts to do something about it. So the man isn't the most sophisticated man around. He's boorish and a braggart and has a penchant for saying the wrong things but he's getting things done. If only the Democrats would try to cooperate, even a little bit, the US would be even be in a better position economically and socially. Trump's biggest hurdle has been his fellow Americans, the Democrats, the far left and the MSM. They've fought him every step of the way and it's the worst treatment of a sitting president in history. And you're not helping. Get rid of the Democrats and convince them that they'd better reform and become a party that cares for the citizens of the US and their country.

Federal Democrats, running in the same districts, if they think the local voters support police defunding, will run on the same platform. Not because they want it but they'll see it as their path to winning. They'll win then do nothing about defunding the police but, at the local level, it has nothing to do with them anyway. It's the local Dems that will do it and the Federal Dems will wash their hands of it when it backfires.

She says that if they're going to wait until others are going to step up and help the black community, you're going to be waiting a long time. The best way to help yourself is to stop being a victim, and step up and help yourself out by working hard. That means taking personal responsibility for what's wrong in your life. If a person works hard, makes good sound and pragmatic decisions, you can pull yourself out of a bad situation and poverty. Asian do it all the time. They're not complaining about their victim status. They work hard and have become the richest household demographic in America. There's no reason why a black person can't do it but it won't happen as long as they're afraid to act white, or think that hard work is a white value. Asians have proved that it isn't. Hard work is how things are accomplished. You don't accomplish anything by waiting for others to do it for you.

It's the Republicans, the right wing, that are advocating for school choice and the left, the Democrats that are solidly against school choice. They're telling those black parents that they MUST go to the school that has been built for them, no matter how bad that school could be. So it's Democrats that are telling those parents to shut up and do as you're told. Also, have you listened to Candace Owens? She's a bad role model, for the black community, of someone who's supposed to shut up. Beside, that's not what she's saying. You're putting words in her mouth that aren't there. She's saying to quit thinking like a victim. Quit being silent and demanding things from others because the record shows that they're NOT GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU. Most of the impoverished inner city have been Democrat run for decades.....the party that supposed to help them and nothing ever changes. The reason is simple. NO ONE is going to help you. You have to help yourself. The capability is there. What's needed is the desire and the left keeps sucking that desire out of the black community with their promises of "hope and change". It's a false promise. I've already said it. Asians have the most affluent demographic house hold wealth. They do it through hard work. It can be done. Black doctors, nurses, truck drives, tradesmen, lawyers, lab techs, writers, police officers are doing it all the time. They work hard and they make a good life for themselves. They don't feel sorry for themselves about how much harder it is for them. They're going to do it in SPITE of the difficulty. One thing is certain, it's not going to happen, waiting in front of TV set for the government to do it for you. It didn't work 50 years ago, or 40 years ago or 25 years ago and it's not going to work today.

Most have lost all sense of reality. It's not because they're homeless, it's because there is no where for the mentally challenged and addicted to go to for help and they end up homeless with no hope for a decent future.

What the politicians did was is to keep promising the oil profits to social programs to its citizens in return for votes. This meant that the oil industry didn't have the money to hire the best technicians, update its equipment, engage in research and development or to train the next generation of oil workers. Couple this with fixing the prices of goods and all the companies, both private and public, were unable to set prices for their goods so they could make a profit. That's why store shelves are empty. Store owners were buying products to sell that cost more to buy than what the government would allow them to sell them for. When the stores could no longer maintain their business at a profit, the government nationalised them and it just spiralled downward until it became the mess it is now. It's not just that Venezuela has no privately owned businesses. It's that their government sets the policies for the businesses and won't allow them the freedom to operate so they can show success in their dealings. The government may not own the business but they control them. That's why the failure of the Venezuelan economy.

  14.  @troyhenry6111  That's the big out. "It's happening in colleges". You have the shows, invite people of ALL ages, and then tell everyone that it's NOT happening IN the schools. Just like the time they took kids to a drag show, parents and teachers, and there was a sign there that said "It's not going to lick itself". Primary school age children were in attendance along with teachers and parents. It didn't happen at school. Why are these drag queens asked to read, anyway? In all the years that I went to school, I've NEVER had outsiders come to class and read to us. It didn't happen with my kids, either. So why drag queens? Why not mailmen, accountants, police officers or carpenters? There's a reason why they're bringing in drag queens to read. Its an introduction to a lifestyle that they would NEVER be exposed to otherwise.....what some would call "grooming". You start small and you build on it. It's incremental. They're not bringing in burlesque performers to read, in full regalia. There's a reason why it's drag queens. Even the possibility should make you recoil in horror and support the laws prohibiting it. However, I hear TOO many people fighting those laws with "It's NOT happening". All that does is allow some ideologues, in schools, to be able to do those things and then saying that there's no law against it. It's just NOT necessary. PERIOD.

How many of those cases and deaths could have been avoided had that not been done. Hydroxychloroquine has been in use for decades for malaria, Lyme disease, some forms of arthritis and Lupus. Now, SUDDENLY, because Trump said that it might be helpful in fighting Covid, everyone went into a tizzy. Just long enough to rid the patient of symptoms. If you take if for weeks, it obviously isn't working.

They'd make money doing "honest", good money, but it's easier and more lucrative to sell themselves. In a country like Cuba, they have nothing when they work at normal jobs. Doctors actually do drive cabs in Cuba. Others might sell themselves because that's a way to really make money, from tourists, who would pay far more than any local Cuban. Those spoiled college Marxists might think that Cuba is the communist Utopia but after a couple of months, only the truly ideologically possessed would want to stay there. Most of them would be wanting to go home within a couple of weeks.

Or you could ask "Why did she become a drug dealer?" "Why did she rob that bank?" Is it THE system or is it HER value system? She didn't have to become a prostitute. She chose to. She saw an easy way out and she took it. Blaming someone else for your moral indiscretions is called rationalisation and isn't a good argument no matter the system applied. Socialism seems to imply that something like prostitution wouldn't happen because everything is taken care of in that system. It doesn't seem to work out that way because there's no such thing as the perfect system.

We'll all be wards of the state, working in their enterprises, buying what they allow us to buy and losing our right to personal property. Capitalism and communism is the same.....are you nuts? Ask anyone that lived in the European eastern bloc or Cuba. They'd laugh at you.

  28.  @stefano_etrusco  It's always amazed me why people get upset with the US when they object to countries nationalising the oil companies. Most of those companies are American oil companies that are held by American shareholders. If you're an American, that would likely include YOU. If you have a pension plan, you may own shares in those oil companies. If you have a bank account that has any money in it, the bank might well be using it to invest in them. It's how they make their money and how you're able to make interest on that money in the bank. Those countries are stealing from YOU and you don't even realise it. That's why the US objects and it should. If they were starting a national oil company that would buy out and assets that an American company might have in their country, that would be one thing but to just take it over, that's theft.

Worse, the UN and WHO have warned that lock downs have doubled world poverty rates and 10s of millions are facing starvation. The lock downs could kill more people, world wide than Covid if the world economy is destroyed. In fact, if things are so bad in the US, why are they sending people, 14,000 of them, to Czechia to help with their first wave? There's more to epidemic dynamics than what we know. We just haven't had any real experience with it to know should be done.

Even the good doctor, standing with him, has said that it's worth looking into but pay no attention to the guy. DO NOTHING. Don't see if there's something to it. Biden gets rid of Trump's immigrant initiatives and starts reopening the camps, as described in the Washington Post, a rag that HATES Trump, and you STILL call Trump the Fascist. The one that makes it possible to CLOSE those child camps and does everything he can to discourage child trafficking is the Fascist and the one that rebuilds those camps because he's reset the pattern that encourages child trafficking is the good guy.
