Was Malta's value to the allies in its ability to intercept Axis convoys or its ablity to keep Allied convoys safe?
5
Will you cover other ships pets such as the Norwegien dog Bamse?

Thank you for answering my Death Star question Drach and you sold me on the altered Corvette alarm. As for the Drydock questions the issue with skipping a year is we'll be right back in the same situation by the end of the next year so it wouldn't really solve the issue, you could try a new year special Drydock where you just answer a few months worth of Drydock questions to try and lessen the scale of the list.

@smokejaguarsix7757 You are aware that in responce for the raid the Japanese butchered 250,000 Chinese civilians, i'm not sure i'd call that a success.

I've seen a lot of documentaries on Bismarck's last stand saying all the British officers were worried Rodney would blow up like Hood if she was hit, was this a real fear by the British or creative licensing on the part of the documentary makers and whether the fears were true or not was this a legitimate possibility given Rodney's capabilities or was it a case "Hood was so powerful if she could go up so could Rodney"?

I recently saw a picture of what was said to be HMS Leander in Malta just after the war, but her superfiring rear turret was missing all the other parts of the ship line up as a Leander class, so could this have been Achilles instead or were the Leanders used to test some strange post war ideas?
5
Could you tell us about the sinking of USS Panay?
5
Inspired by a previous question if they did a Trafalgar and/or Jutland film (properly) and you could play anyone in ether film who would you play and why?
5
Which ships would you recommend taking inspiration from for a steampunk fantasy set between the Victorian era to WW1?
5
Who was the better commander of their nations cruiser forces Gunichi Mikawea or Norman Scott?
5
Its not the Bismarck that should be worried it the Scharnhorst suddenly finding a Revenge class battleship chasing them while somehow going at 35 knots powered purely on Polish anger and agression
5
Why did ships with an odd number of guns leading to them having a single gun in one turret such as De Ruyter and Blyskawica have the single gun in the front, i would have thought it would go astern to maximise the forward firepower?
5
I was watching your video on the Admiral Hipper class and i thought came to me, would they have been better served being shorter 20 meters shorter?
5
Which class of ship that only had a single ship would you have liked to have seen have expanded in numbers?
4
What is the difference between Fast Battleships and Battlecruisers they seem to basically be the same thing with different names
4
How did Navy's feel about sailing ships named after Army Generals and units such as HMS Iron Duke and HMS Gurkha?
4
Can anyone else hear Parrot swearing in Russian?
4
Would you say that the fast battleship was the evolution of the battlecruiers or were they the counter to the battlecruiser?
4
Didn't USS Shaw (DD-373) surivie a magazine explosion at Pearl Harbour.
4
As someone who originally hails from Merseyside i'm wondering what if any modifications were done to the ferrys Daffodil and Iris?
4
Given the IJN's impressive skill at night fighting like at Savo Island did they ever give any thought to using their carriers at night and if so what plans and tactics did they have and if not why not as it would seem a bit odd for a fleet so good and not a tiny bit obsessed with night fighting would leave one part of that navy wanting?
4
How did the woodern fin's on the Japanese torpedo bombers torpedo's help them from burying themselves into the sea floor at Pearl Harbour and did the Japanese keep using the woodren fin's after Pearl Harbour or were they a one time use idea?
4
The mosquito was a very fast and tough aircraft and it was given an anti-tank gun to attack ships and ground targets. Could it have been made into a carrier aircraft? and if so how effective could it have been?
4
I suspect a German ship called Bismarck parked next to a Royal Navy ship today would result in some intresting times in port.
4
Kongo-san HIEI!
4
Are there any examples of Admirals realising they were or would be out of their depth and either refused promotion or requested to be demoted?
4
As someone who played the console version WOWS which doesn't have the carriers (Or fun police and jingles calls them) i can say it is some much more fun the PC version
4
@GaldirEonai What witchcraft are you using to get the two to get along thats must be some strong magic
4
@quentintin1 Thats true but if the Luftwaffe hadn't been fighting the Kregsmarine for aircraft production they might have got one. Also while i love the 109 its actually my favourite aircraft from WW2 i still wouldn't want to land it on a carrier
4
@ChristianSlotHolck For your first question Drach actually did a survival at sea video so i'd recommend that for your first question Also the Bismarck was out of Luftwaffe support when she was sunk it would have been the U-boats that the Navy was worried about and even they weren't i doubt it the Navy went to great efforts to put the Bismarck under as revenge for Hood so she was going to be put under the minute the KGV and Rodeny were in shooting range.
4
ORP Piorun is rightly remembered for showing a level of agression that Admiral Nelson would approve of, but had she rammed the Bismarck and then presumably tried a boarding action acompanied by lots of Polish insults, slurs and vast amounts of violence, who would win? (And yes as i write this the mental image of KGV and Rodney turning up and seeing Bismarck flying the Polish navy ensign while the singal man is flashing "I am a Pole" has entered my head will never leave it)
4
Which type of cruiser either light or heavy was the most useful for the navies of world war two?
4
Would the American torpedo bomber crews at midway have been better served with the fairy swordfish
4
How do you actually rate the Leanders? I've heard you make a couple of comments on the Leanders like when talking about the Duquesne class of heavy cruisers you said "Even a flipping Leander" and this was after you said "The Good Light Cruisers", I know they weren't the best light cruisers and weren't going to win a battle against something like a Town or Cleveland but they seem to have been fairly capable ships and they did seem to get some decent success in the Med and i'm pretty sure the collender of Graf Spees superstructure has more than a few 6 inch holes from a pair of Leanders.
4
Top Ten Admirals and/or officers who were underrated and/or wrongly over looked
4
To go on the other side i think the Kongo's are great looking ships, but (And as much as it pains me as i do like them) they didn't do well in the war.
4
@Drachinifel it would be interesting to see at the least
4
@Ragefps I think its more accurate to say Warspite was the deity.
4
We have "Ace's" for Tanks and Planes but is there a Naval Ace or term for an Ace for sinking or capturing ships?
4
@dantreadwell7421 When you get to the Admiral Callagahan Quesntion you'll understand.
4
@snupjeve Oh no have Piorun and Johnston in the same room together and then sit back and watch the fireworks.
4
You've been sent back to the US in 1920's America and the head of BuOrd has come down ill and needs to be replaced and by chance you get to pick, who would you pick?
4
@scottgiles7546 Well when we get to it we'll use it again. Also Python is for all.
4
Or employ a man who can do it properly

Why was USS Saratoga not at Coral Sea and Midway, i've heard conflicting reasons ranging from not back in time, to damage to the the ship and was she either incredibly lucky or unlucky also did she deserve the nickname "Sara Maru"?
4
Did the Polish Navy ever have plans to make a Coastal Battleships like the Finnish Ilmarinen, also how would the Ilmarinen have done in a battle against the Pre Dreadnought Schleswig-Holstein?
4

BK Jeong i would argue against that whole battleship were totally pointless during the Second World War. The Meditaranian and Atlantic had a good numbers of surface action between capital ships Cape Matapan as an example, and the Scharnhorsts proved what happens if a carrier gets suprised by battleships or battlecruisers. The Pacific is much larger and open by comparison so like all battlefeild terrain is important. Now the issue the Kongo's have is they are in the Pacific which is really a Carrier battleground being so open by comparison to the Med so they have that problem to begin with, then the Japanese appalling application of them which just exacerbated the problems. Now i'm not saying the Kongo's were perfect, far from it, personally i would really have up armoured the poor things and try and turn them into something like the Renown, but they were the only capital ships the Japanese had that could counter American Battleships (As bad an idea as that was) the Fuso's and Ise's were to slow and the Yamato's were far to big and expensive to risk at Guadalcanal (all that armour on the Yamato's would have really been useful on the Kongo's). But they could do a fair amount of damage if they got the chance USS South Dakota and as you said Henderson field as examples. For me if i was going to use them, i'd try and use them as a hit and run force, targeting cruiser forces and landing areas so like the British in the Atlantic force the US to put battleships to guard them and then use the light carriers to hit the US Battleships do damage and then the Kongo's can turn up and finish the job (Which i believe was the plan for them in the Kido Buti) i accept this is not perfect, but its a better use. Also if i was going with my plan i would have dropped the speed from over 30 to 29 knots and up the armour and i'd maybe upped the speed of either the Nagato's or Fuso's to try and get more use out of them. I will accpet i am slightly biased on the Kongo's as they we're orignially British design and i am British but i do genually feel they could have been useful if used smartly and not how they were actually used.
