@falsevacuum4667 - Its probably a perspective thing in tis self. Im British, so I am used to an almost totally centralised nay LONDON centric system. In Yorkshire where I am from literally NOTHING every gets done, no money is ever spent, no investment is ever made, no holes in the road are ever filled. To me this system in Bulgaria is highly decentralised. To an American, it may look highly centralised. BUT - I will be honest - I dont recognise this description "with a high degree of political, administrative, and economic centralisation" certainly to me it seems highly devolved.

@ASocialistTransGirl We have trolly busses - the electric ones are to do the routes that the trolly busses don't cover. BUT - OMG the electric ones are like something out of Starteck - the seats are frosted acrylic that light up different colours and they have acceleration and deceleration control so you can stand up and NOT really tell it has set off or are slowing. Its just like standing in a cool bar that moves from place to place kinda magically.

EVERY COUNTRY HAS TO ELECT A DONALD TRUMP before they learn what a stupid idea it is - its not a thing you can learn by watching other countries - you have to do it yourself. And weird hair seems to play a BIG part in all of these elections...???
4
@JohnHenryEden2277 Its just normal to me now, its very dry as well sop that helps
4
@therealzilch - YEP - the only reason Bulgaria LOOKS very corrupt is they are very amateur at it. The older democracies they have legalised it or just got good at covering it up.
4
@darkoparko6685 - I have not travelled since before the pandemic - but I would not say its that different from Plovdiv, Valiko Tarnovo, Varna. Maybe it is and I have not noticed??
4
@Redisia "Eastern Europe has gotten a lot of budget to help develop it. " Yes it has - that's how the EU works, it invests in long term projects to build up areas. the deprived areas of Britain like Cornwall are starting to realise it was NOT just Eastern Europe that got money...
4
NONSENSE the export of turret springs is at an all-time high
3
@louisemann3306 - I moved to Bulgaria 13 years ago totally believing everything I had been told about communism and how we liberated them from the evils of it... Imagine my surprise when they were not grateful and most people wanted to go back to communism...??? Turns out we were lied to.

PUTIN WONT INVADE IN FEBRUARY Winter is Rusaias friend - they will invade in November or not at all... Europe depends on Russia for 30% of its gas in winter - 5% in summer. In winter Putin can threaten Europe with cutting off the gas supply if they interfere and Europe is screwed. In summer he does not have this leverage. Also NATO are not used to fighting in Ukranian winters - Russians are.
3
@Silver_Prussian - Neither. I'm 50 years old, I am an author. This allows me to work anywhere, so I choose to work here. I rent my apartment in a panel block from a Bulgarian family. I chose to spend my life travelling so I don't have money to buy a house...
3
@Silver_Prussian - the EU are not going to give Bulgaria billions and billions of €€€ if its not a member, and it is EU money that is paying for these thigns.
3
If Russia was a tool..it would be an adjustable spanner
3
CHINA IS THE FUTURE - AM3RIC4 IS A COLLAPSING EX EMPIRE thats the simple fact of the matter...!!!
3
@todortodorov6056 "Shame that many Bulgarians do not see how much Bulgaria has benefited from being in the EU." AHHAHHAH tel that to the British LOL
3
@todortodorov6056 I live in a working-class part of Burgas in a panel block, and 8 years ago there were lots of anti-EU flags and banners and posters in windows and stickers on cars. NONE now. Brexit seems to have settled the issue for them
3
OMG THAT'S 70% OF APPLES PROFIT making weird cables that break in 3 months and need replacing with a €49 proprietary cable...
3
WHAT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER IS Russia is only under sanction from the west - once upon a time that was devastating... But the world grew up and China and India became big boys and Africa is a teenager whilst the USA is the angry 58 year old taking steroids to prove he has not lost it and Europe is the pensioner tending their garden. Britain is the geriatric old duffer on a park bench shouting at immigrant pigeons. Russia is not sanctioned - its massively inconvenienced.
3
POLITICS IS NOT ABOUT SOLVING PROBLEMS its about identifying the minority you can blame for the problem... ...whilst you divert funds to your mate's companies.
3
I found a pot hole last week - reported it on the city app. 2 days later I got a message and a picture to show they had fixed it. YEAH nothing gets done under PR.
3
@Hardcore_Remixer TBH - I dont know what I meant LOL. Im sick today. I had a thought in my head when I wrote it, but I dont know what it was. I think it was about the boarded up high streets in the UK??? IDK
3
@averagebohemian5791 I used to have a friend in Bagloevgrad, about 12 years ago - it was a bit run down at the time. I LOVE PLOVDIV - but it reminds me of Edinburgh - everything you want is at the top of a steep hill.
3
OR what would you have a none binding referendum to do something incredibly stupid and the DO the incredibly stupid thing even though it was none binding - cough - Brexit...
3
Well not really correct, but it was very close - каховка the x, the kh is a sound native English speakers find very difficult
2
WHAT DO THE WORLDS BEST POLITICIANS HAVE IN COMMON...? their not British...? Is that the answer?
2
You can't say "to blame" cos they are not NATO Tanks. You can argue that they pushed Putin into a corner - but that is not the same.
2
@octaviancojocariu3128 - Yeah but I think you are being overly simplistic... I AM 100% OF THE BELIEF THAT THE WEST FORCED PUTIN INTO WAR wait... I think Putin intended to invade in Nov 2022 and the western hysteria was designed to force him to act early... The EU does not need his gas as much in summer, he was not fully prepared, he has not propagandised the Russian people into war, you cant cross Ukrain fields in tanks in March - the land is liquid mud after it has been frozen all winter. If Putin was going to invade it would be NOVEMBER when everything is in his favour - at the moment, everything si against him...!!! >>> Im not one for giving western powers credit - but I think they have pulled off a blinder here. That backed him into a corner and it may well bring him down as a leader...

@sacredgeometry - And some are electric and other IR Solar - I dont this that invalidates my point... Wealthy people use a VAST amount of energy, an absolutely VAST amount. I did some work at a woman's house - it would be £2+ million today. She has the rooms at 32ºC all year cos she liked to walk about in a bikini and the sauna was on 24 hours a day 7 days a week so she didn't have to wait for it to heat up if she wanted to use it. Its no problem, that can afford it - the problem is they are using gas / electricity and that pushes up the price for EVERYONE. Energy use for private houses should be teered. 0-100kwh a month £0.10 100 - 200 - £0.25 200 - 500 - £.50 500 - 750 - £1.00 750 -1000 - £2.00 1000 - 1500 - £5.00 1500 + £10.00 Poor people can afford to heat their tiny homes and wealthy people will use less and install solar etc. Its the obvious and super easy-to-implement solution - BUT you have a tory govt who LOVE rich people...
2
@Nisenziart - dude that just BS. You're living in a tiny fantasy world.
2
Your own fault - you dont riot enough.
2
So standard Bulgarian position on this subject then LOL
2
MAYBE THISHYPER CONNECTED GLOBALISED WORLD is not such a good thing after all... Maybe shipping all the good jobs to China to save money and make shareholders rich is not actually that good for the country doing it??? Radical heretical thoughts I know - we all know PROFIT is king and justifies everything - but what is profit is NOT more important than food and heating??
2
@lippydalips4537 Sadly the working class cant live on your opinion and they are starving and freezing

@f.a.6975 - OH America's "help" has always been America helping its self. There is a very strong case to be made that America was nothing but a war profiteer in WW2. If you did into it and read "The Downing Street Diaries" of Churchill's private secretary in WW2 - the USA would ONLY accept gold in payment for weapons cos they expected Britain to lose and the £GBP would be worthless... And they had NO intention of intervening to make sure the UK didnt lose. The cabinet had drawn up plans to requisition every piece of gold in the country - including wedding rings - to pay the Americans. It was only Germany declaring war on the USA 6 days after P/Harbour that prevented this. The rebuilding of Europe - the USA gave billions of $ to the countries of Europe to rebuild, but you could NOT spend those $ with each other, they HAD to be spent on goods manufactured in the USA. So it was NOT a gift of billions to Europe so much as a gift of billions fo the US economy. The UK finished paying off its war debt to the USA on 31 December 2006... Very far from the American Hollywood image of the events thats for sure. Its all very double-edged American aid.
2
@falsevacuum4667 Im very pleased I could help in some tiny way :-)
2
*NO HE IS NOT RIGHT8 it is a political choice to NOT tax the rich and to make the peons work longer - the British accepted up the a$$ like they usually do... The french are NOT as dumb...
2
MX, CA, GB, EU, JAP, KOR, TWN should form a federation and then partner with BRICS to use their payment systems, this allows you to trade with any country in your own currency avoiding the $USD and the changes and it allows you to trade commodities peer to peer with NO US brokerages taking a % cut On food this saves up to 10% - 10% the US takes as an effective tax on global trade
2
BECAUSE BRITISH AND AMERICAN Gen Z are growing up in very obviously collapsing late-stage capitalism... Capitalism in Britain and America is roughly 20 years ahead of the rest of the world in its life cycle. People in France are worried about working till 64. People in the UK and the USA are worried about dying before they are 64 due to lack of health care. The UK and the USA are in freefall collapse. THATS WHY.
2
@СилвияИванова-з1р I was joking with you about the Sunday thing. But I got it mixed up - I'm sick today forgive me. Its not a holiday - its that they stop the sale of alcohol on election days dont they...!??!!? I knew there was something special about them. EDIT - its about the only thing you don't have a holiday for here, you get a holiday for having a name...!!! Britain should adopt that "Garry day" and "Steves day"
2
@dyawr you are a very weird person. Its not bragging. Its just a temperature. I have no control over it. I did not make it. It just the temperature, Im sorry you feel insecure about your temperature.
2
@dyawr PROBABLY the weirdest conversation I have ever had on Youtube comments. Just pull up the weather now in Burgas. Look up pictures of Burgas.
2
ONLY ONE COUNTRY BENEFITED from it blowing up - AMERICA This is not proof - but it the American economy has been saved from collapse for the 3rd time by a land war in Europe - just saying...
2
2nd...??? I think they are well past 2nd
2
I LIVE IN BULGARIA Even the people at the hospital DID NOT KNOW they were doing covid vaccinations - the lack of a government has been the MAIN reason for the low vaccination rate!!! It has got to the point of neighbours telling each other that you can get a vaccination at the hospital. NO KIDDING.
2
BREXIT HAS DOME MORE to damage the British economy than the global sanctions have done to damage the Russian economy...
2
@gnrseanra9070 - there is the rule in life mate - if you have to argue with 8 different people in multiple different countries that you are right and they are wrong - you are almost certainly the one in the wrong... The chances of YOU being right and 8 people in different countries being wrong is 1 in 256
2
@SK-vw3in Yeah - you're one of these uneducated sub-class bred by Reagan's cuts to education aren't you? "Every single level of government is by design, & it's the best to ensure... Its be the design of the ruling class to ensure they stay the ruling class. Why else would you have an "electoral college" HAHAHAHAH the dumbest idea in history - unless you are the ruling class "This is the reason US is able to maintain its no 1 status" No dude the USA obtained its global status as No1 cos it was a war profiteer in 2 world wars and then was the ONLY country not to be totally destroyed by WW2. The USSR gave it a good run for its money but ultimately lost, the only thing that has kept the USA at No1 is momentum and that momentum has run out. Nothing "clever" or "by design" kept the USA at No1. In 1980 the G7 represented 75% of global GDP - its now 28% BRICS is now 33% "gen z is the most - tarded generation". Gen Z is the most politically astute and politically educated generation in history, they are hyper-globally connected and you cant lie to them cos they just ask their friend in that country what the truth is - you don't like them cos your propaganda is not working on them. 1% of Gen Z support the conservatives in the Uk and 26% support Trump. You can live in the fantasy bubble of your choice, but this is my job. I'm an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations. BTW - America is collapsing - so get used to it. You will NOT see a Trump presidency. He will slip and drown in his pool before they allow that. Who? The same people who helped Epstine hang himself. Cry all you want, bang your fists on the table, say how unfair it is that your fascist criminal cant be president - but that is the truth of it. The families that took out KFK and Epstine are not going to allow Mango Mussolini to damage their wealth and status.
2
@inbb510 OH Im so pleased for you that life is perfect in the UK. Got to go, due on the beach.
2
@FatRonaldo1 - See my other reply to this point. BTW - thank you for being polite, I'm sick of abusive people today...
