  6. first, at same gear ratios, toque is same but in real world if you have big load on gears is better to have bigger or wider gears to to ensure sustainable pressure between teeth of gears or have more teeth in engagement to reduce load per teeth second for petrol engines if assume that it works at fixed a/f ratio, more fuel is injected as engine speed up at WOT, because raises cylinder fill up with mixture because of higher speed of air that travels through engine(up to max torque rpm, after that mass flow of mixture decreases per cylinder per cycle, but mixture starts to be richer and then efficiency falls down, but power raises up to rpm of max power)

  10.  @driverjamescopeland  it is not matter are ground or aero turbine, you can not make turbine blade thick as brick with no cooling and think it can go on higher temps, it will melt down few minutes later in compare to thin blades, it is up to material that can hold temps with or without cooling, btw ground turbines are not made for thrust, so turbine must take all possible power from gas, on aircraft not, some energy must be left for propulsion

  27.  @d4a  mostly, people with stock car does not races, but i saw many cast iron collectors cracked, maybe because there are plenty, if you try to weld cast iron you have to preheat it slowly, to avoid big differences in temperatures in material, and big collector on truck is not loaded by temperature as on petrol engine, because it has lower ex temperature because diesels work with plenty of air, more than 20:1

  28.  @morpheus_9  i see you are specialized in spewing bullshits , listen to me , you bullshits specialist with limited knowledge: do you know why if mixture is lean exhaust gasses have hotter temp , if you know, you should not mentioned it , in petrol engine , lean mixture has extended time of combustion , what means it still burns in exhaust, next fact that you do not know is that in diesel engine, locally mixture is rich but overall is lean because diesel engine works with excess of air , so that is why same power rating diesel engine at same power has less temp of exhaust, next thing that you do not know is when petrol engine has best power: it is when combusted gasses in cylinder have the highest temperature because best/the highest mean indicated pressure is on the highest temperature in cylinder, and that is at rich mixture, but why rich, not stoichiometric?, because petrol falls apart due to dissociation of some amount of fuel, so need to be some more fuel , and a little richer mixture prevents knock, so in this comment is more new facts for you than you know at all,

Next thing , what skills you have that you can recognize if somebody is engineer or not, i can , because after all i wrote just in this comment on comment reply, you did not recognize misconceptions and shallow knowledge guys that discussed with me, so maybe you and they are engineers but not for engines, cars, materials and technology, (they are maybe cheefs, cowboys or just regular guys that like cars but do not have wide theoretical and practical knowledge about things they like), ok, i am waiting for your question, to see how it will go

  40. to fly you need thrust, to have thrust you need speed difference between exhaust and local air, if you wanna be effective that difference must be minimal, so, if exhaust speed is high, that engine will be more efficient on higher speeds, but over 3Ma ram effect is so strong that you do not need compressor.........

  47. when you mentioned bicycle brakes: some guys tested same bikes, only difference was: one had wheel cable brake and other hydro disc brakes, and what you think which bike had less braking distance, of course, disc brake, why because in first second of braking, hydro brake makes more braking force than cable brake because inner and outer cables are stretching and act as spring but when it reaches full power on both bikes front wheel can be locked.
