@mappsmappings4025 false, US had a large economy and population, so even if at the time the US military was weak, the potential was obvious, and it did materialize

@mappsmappings4025 let’s think about this. This idea that the Japanese would invade the US and fight civilians is absurd. US gun owners then and now are weak and untrained. Furthermore any resistance against the Japanese would be organized by the US government and so the 2A would be irrelevant. Look at actual partisan groups in WW2. The successful ones were equipped by foreign powers like the UK and the US.

@mappsmappings4025 if they did have guns, and they often did have guns by the way, it wouldn’t have mattered. Their civilian guns would’ve been ineffective. Secondly it is demonstrably unnecessary
