I've watched the Shelby American DVD 3 times, and I never heard a word spoken about either of your comments. What the hell do you mean he competed with other teams??? Of course he did, that's what racing teams do! Just because Shelby American was the Ford Factory Team didn't preclude him from competing with any other team. As far as your comment that he was almost fired because of the finish line debacle, not true either. Nothing at all was said in this documentary relative to that. He worked for Ford and believe me, they didn't really give a damn who won the race, as long as a Ford GT won it! Do you like to make this crap up or perhaps you have dysfunctional reading ability? 😉😁😆🤪

  18.  @2adamast  Ford didn't make the GTs for the entire endurance circuit, he made them for Le Mans first and foremost. When the Fords won 4 years straight, they had made their point and that was the end of it......until 2016 when they won again exactly 50 years after the first victory.

When Henry Ford took it out of the hands of John Wyer and company and put it into Shelby American, Inc. hands, the GT40 finally could show its success as a winner.
