Great work guys, Slava Ukraini
24
I listen to this at work, tears are streaming down my face while I listen to David's voice.
24
great detail in your reporting in the export of UK goods to Russia. Name and shame the brands.
24
I personally don't think the number of daily views of this podcast on youtube gets reflects the brilliance, depth and skill of the show. For me this is THE pod to listen to. Perhaps the congregation is on other platforms?

I think some EU states are dragging their feet on military spending, they might be waiting to see if Trump gets in or not instead of pressing ahead and getting on with it (anyone surprised the promised artillery shells are late?). It's in the EU's interest to not rely on others. I'd like to see Biden harden on this matter too.
19
Why can't NATO draw a "red line" on Russia using foreign troops to fight? It's frustrating for Ukraine with this half-arsed support
18
A van pulled out in-front of me this morning, it had the Ukrainian flag and the military emblem on it. There is still interest and support from Auckland, New Zealand. Slava Ukraini.
16
Listening to Jake Broe's latest video, his assessment is that there were NO bodies at the crash site and also a gigantic explosion from the crash (as if it was full of S300 missile). Russia also claimed there were 6 crew and ~60 POWs, well 4 pilots and 2 guards for 60 POW's???? Doesn't add up.

I've been listening to this podcast from NZ for the last 4-5 months, it's important and informative which is essential in this conflict to allow the public to understand what is going on. The media here has turned a blind eye to it, someone even asked me two days ago if the conflict is still going on (to be fair we've had a weather crisis to focus on). It's great to be able to put voices to faces in this video. Keep up the great content. Slava Ukraini.

Listening from NZ
12
I am really disgusted by Hindustan Times Videos. It show's India's position in this war and it isn't aligned with NATO, EU countries. India is funding Russia's war with oil purchases. I think it's time for sanctions and economic boycott.
12
shouldn't Putin be arrested if he enters a NATO country? ICC? Interpol?
12
Germany needs to grow a spine, Merkel's legacy?
12
Israelis are so lucky to have unlimited platforms to share their pleas and their woes. To tell the world how kind and peaceful and loving and nurturing and humble and accepting they are. Now if it wasn't for the fact that 90% of homes that housed 2,000,000 people have been flattened and potentially 100,000 or more people are dead or wounded because of horrific actions of a terrorist group. Israelis share their stories, but are there are words from Palestinians, any stories, any accounts on how entire families were wiped out, doctors, teacher murdered, journalist targeted the IDF?
11
I don't think William Hague has the foggiest idea what Trump could do next. I would not think of him as a reliable source for thought.
10
Giving up will lead to the scenes of Bucha happening across the country
10
I'm starting to think Russians don't know the difference between drones and "fragments"
9
If I was a BRICS member I wouldn't put Russia in charge of either the economy, the military, media, strategy or policy.... I don't wish them success and irrespectively don't think they will have any.
9
Thumbs up from a Brit in NZ, Slava Ukraine.
9
Great episode, the message is spot on, there is movement in attitude for Europe to get their hands dirty but the dialogue still seems like a race between a glacier and a squashed snail
9
Neither of these hosts would thrive in Trump's order. It beggers belief why they promote him.
8
I don't think there is anything wrong with having a bric's group it could also be good for the economies of smaller countries. But they are fools if they think putting Russia in charge of the economy, military, media, news, science or strategy would be a good idea (or China for that matter). I also think any country which think they can put a foot in both camp and play both sides should lose any trade advantage, aid, military access if they side with Russia. I'm thinking India and Turkey especially.

I've really appreciated Roland's increased input to Ukraine the latest... He brings a depth and perspective that really educates the listeners. I recently heard him on The Daily T which is not a pod I like at all (I'll keep my opinions to myself) and even they gave him the respect he deserves.
8
Surely Apple can disconnect iPhones in a geographic area like say Russia??
8
that's not what the pod states, they say Ukraine is losing ground at an accelerated pace BUT at a massive human cost to Russia (who don't value life)
8
Under tRUmp's "peace plan" of having US civilians mining in Ukraine, what happens when RUssia attacks a different part of Ukraine where there is no mining operations. Will the US ignore it? Also I am worried about the America's history of mining in foreign countries and the damage they leave behind.
8
Relating to Francis' first point, if Ukraine had been armed with excess of what they needed and gave an early decisive blow to Russia that would have achieved a quick victory and would have send Russia back, licking their wounds and back under their rock. If Russia had had the impression that Ukraine was going to have total support from the outset then this war would have been over 2 years ago. US and Europe (NATO) would have saved countless billions in money, lives and cities would have been saved and atrocities both human and ecologically would not have been committed. Indecision and poor decisions has cost the world dearly. Perhaps have Russian sympathies (Hungry) and proxies (Netherland, Germany) in Europe also influenced this?
7
...said the Russian troll who prays he's not sent to fight with the orcs on the front line
7
The sea drone attack brings up an interesting question, defensive gun rate of fire versus sea drone speed over water πΎπΎπ£π£π£π£π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π£ββ
7
He's a presidential candidate but I'm sure the way they "share" the plan with Trump will involve a bath tub, some rubber ducks, a plastic scuba-diver and a few barbie dolls
7
there are obviously good brains and commanders who could tackle Russia, the problem is these Generals only advise. The weakness is at the political level, the lack of leadership and will, this includes first Europe then the US, its isn't their (US's) war but I commend them for stepping up to protect the world order. If both sides of the alliance pulled their thumbs out this wat could be over by Christmas, but it's like they don't want it to but the longer they stall the harder it's going to get.
7
The bots are going to have to navigate the Russian restriction on YouTube soon, if they can't troll then they might get sent to the front line.... π³
7
said the boy to his mama on the phone before he walked into meat grinder...
7
Russia can leave anytime they want, maybe if they did Poo Tin could get a piece prize
7
spot on
6
Totally with Hamish about an UN-led DMZ around the nuclear power station. Maybe throw in a UN-backed No Fly Zone too?
6
Trump said some "untruths", tell it as it is, blatant lies.
6
true but Russia would have never invaded if Ukraine was part of NATO
6
and yet the Russian population is falling fast.... pop pop
6
Thanks again Roland, from NZ
6
I wonder how many Russian Dimitris, Anatolys and Igors have been turned into sausage meat on the fields of Ukraine? Maybe our Russian friends on this comment board could take a guess?
6
Russia is at fault, how could anyone else be responsible?
6
but i don't think it's limited to the UK, look at the entire EU
5
Yes, I expect a Russian to say that. Look out for the meat-grinder.....
5
agreed, tanks, long range missiles, F-16 should have all be supplied on day 1. Then this war would have been over 3 years ago.
5
another great episode!
5
Hey Francis, to follow up on the comment of support for Ukraine at the Olympics, I went to the UK during the summer to attend Glastonbury and I was pleased to see Ukrainian flags in the crowd. Slava Ukraini.
5
I think Tim Stanley lacks standards
5
I'm still blown away that the Afghans had 20 years training from the US with all the kit and equipment and at the first sign of a scuffle they broke down and disbanded. The Ukrainians however have had a fraction of the time to prepare and less equipment and shown true grit against a "greater" foe. Slava Ukraine !
5
Great the South Koreans are telling it as it is, it highlights the lack of motivation of our "leaders"
