You can never have enough brougham.
159
Its a new move back to traditional luxury. Recaro seats are a bitch in a daily driver.
43
They say he managed to screw up the Air Force and Navy too. I met his sister once.
31
You mean KISS.
24
In the 50s Cadillac was seen as a superior car to the Rolls and there was not a lot of price seperating them.
21
Cotton resin fender flares would look good. Maybe a cotton chin spoiler.
18
My dentist had a Murkur. He told me how much it cost. I was appalled. I had to bite my tongue to not tell him what a POS it was.
16
I've got my "Happy, Happy, Joy Joy" on order from China now. Of course its the XLGLTDSTurbo ExtremeLuxo 2000 Brougham Cabriolet Model. I'm no fool.
14
@andrewallen9993 You have never owned a British car have you. They were offering ancient technology right into the 90s. They are happy to sell you complete crap for high prices. I assume the 50s Rolls would run more or less most of the time but their squirrly air over fluid truck braking system was always a problem. The modern Rolls are absolute mechanical nightmares. And remember the Lincoln Mks were available in the 50s. Very high priced. People who buy these prestige cars now expect to pay a fortune to keep them running. Otherwise they would buy Toyotas. Rolls and others have completely lost the thread of what quality means.

@k.c.slawncare6046 Well not really a 60s band but the makeup and costumes and general lack of talent reminds me of GM. If you get technical maybe the Rolling Stones.
13
He shows a keen appreciation of spending silly amounts of money on completely un necessary things. Must be American.
12
Learn to speak Chinese.
11
Rented a VW Polo in England, it was smaller than any VW sent to the US. Found streets with parking where the mirrors barely cleared the parked cars on both sides. At that time Saab 900 cs were the big family car in England. They completely filled the parking spaces.
11
Get her a thick seat cushion.
11
They should make him wear a sombrero while at work.
10
The 1960 T Bird was a beauty.
10
The Olds Vista Cruiser is legendary. That 70s show was built around it. Windows in the roof Ooo la la!
8
Its a company run by marketing and they are poor at their jobs. People are not fooled.
7
GM killed Saab when it sold in the 100,000 range. Buick is already dead. GM will probably be wanting another bailout.
6
Chevrolet Chevette Brougham. AMC Gremlin Brougham. Ford Maverick Brougham.
6
Exner was thrown out of Chrysler in the early 60s. Within 5 years the forward look was an embarrassment. He would'nt quit.
6
@bobjohnson1587 Forward look made him a star. He may have legitimately thought it was great. But looks changed often to juice sales so it was out dated a few years later. I always thought the 67 Charger was hideous then the 69 was stunning. Same for the Barracuda. Go with good looking not silly. And part of it was Chrysler mistakenly thought downsizing was going to rule the industry when GM and Ford actually went bigger. They screwed up. Its interesting how companies actually competed and worried about sales. Not like now. They worry about stock price.
6
They would crush like an egg shell. At least the kiddies could watch Sponge Bob on the way to the wreck. The Chevy Astro was known for splitting in half behind the engine compartment.
6
I'd buy one. Or a Simoroon.
6
@h.mandelene3279 As said the British car industry was stuck in the 20s and 30s due to lack of funds. The American car industry had unlimited funding. Yeah I thought Rolls used GM automatics for many years.
6
I heard their sales have been in free fall for years and there was talk of discontinuing the brand.
6
Kirk Wolfe I see fools with heavy pickups who think they have Ferraris.
5
@MaximilianvonPinneberg I'm there. Send me two. People try to correct his pronunciation but he evidently feels we are all wrong. There have been movies named Cimaron. Haleys Comet. Its not like the correct pronunciation is a secret or something. I have been to Holland. They speak English pretty good. Especially the hookers and drug dealers.

European cars were crap until the 1970s. Fiats and BLMC cars were crap longer than that. Not a whole lot of people lined up to buy BMW Isettas. The early Hondas and Toyotas were crap too. It was the oil crisis which forced Americans and I say forced them into small foreign cars. Why does everyone buy 6000 pound pickups and SUV? Its because thats as close to a land yacht as they can get today. The Foreigners all make land yacht trucks too.
5
And the Plymouth vans and K cars were CHEAP!
5
A great Pimpmobile.
4
@turnne The Fiero was said to be about 90% great then they cheaped out.
4
@sirloin4372 You said no one likes them not me.
4
They called the P 47 "the Jug". I could see a car named Jugs.
4
I think a big vacume tube on the front of the car would be good.
4
Cleveland beats Windsor.
4
I follow reviews from Austrailia. Its said if you park a Chinese car too close to the ocean it will rust away before your eyes.
4
They were still a low volume production car. I have a 70 Eldorado and they made about 24,000 of those. They make a lot more new Corvettes.
4
I think Tuckers grandson has a Youtube channel and is a wealth of information on the car and restores them.
4
@creamwobbly Don't forget the Aztek.
3
I would buy a car named "Shaft" any day.
3
@derp195 Its just another dumb truck/pimpmobile. Cadillacs are designed for low IQ high bank account types.
3
I had an operating toy amphicar as a kid. Our next door neighbor drove over it. I never talked to him again. Which was OK byhim. There is a business in FL. that has several amphicars and takes people out on a lake. Adam the Woo did one. They have bilge pump and the door seals must be perfect. Easily swamped.
3
Its the floor delete option. Much faster.
3
@jimjamauto Mass baby, mass.
3
@kevinbarry71 Lots of people killed in transit buses. Usually big fiery deaths.
3
@jimjamauto Well we always hoped Dorthy the driver would get it first. She was a real piece of work. This was when adults could beat the shit out of a strangers kids.

@robbchastain3036 The only problem with the corvair was the independent rear suspension which could tuck in on very hard cornering. This was very common on imports IRS at the time. There were very few accidents attributable to this. It was usually a low speed phenomina. Nadars main problem was it was a small car. As many now think big heavy cars are safer in collisions. Premium foreign manufacturers have laid that myth to rest. My dad used Corvairs in his business and bought several all the way through the production run. The Corvair was a big success for GM and they made them for almost 10 years. The later ones were a lot better looking than the early ones. They made vans, pickup trucks, station wagons and others. There is a van close to me. Used to know a guy who had all the models. The van was kind of like a VW bus. Leno has a pickup where the entire bed side folds down. As an aside, people think the AMC Pacer was a bomb. Actually for the first two years they sold all they could make. Pintos, Vegas, and Chevettes were quite popular too. The Corvair was a very ambitious project for GM, almost a Porshe. Designed to compete with German air cooled cars. Yenkos are of course very valuable.

@murphman76 I see one maybe once a year. I see more Teslas and I live in the sticks.
