  47.  @SiliconCurtain  Yeah actually after typing my main comment I suddenly remembered, that Konstantin from INSIDE RUSSIA - another very interesting guest of your podcasts here on your channel and also a YouTuber I'm watching almost daily - has pointed out on several occasions and repeatedly in different contexts, that both the Russian leadership won't let such information through by simply blocking it and also, that the Russian audience itself isn't really that interested in investigating and learning the truth neighter. IF Russians truly wanted to know, how things are really going in other countries - not only in Europe but pretty much in every single country worldwide they're personally interested in for whatever reasons - they could simply just watch several YouTube channels about it, on top of this they can personally communicate with locals from said country/continent online (on any other apps they're having access to besides YouTube), but usually that doesn't happen on a large scale; so it appears the vast majority of average Russians actually prefer to stay in their isolated mindsets and Putin propaganda bubble willingly. But you're right, there're ALREADY attempts of Putin's regime to block even certain YouTube channels videos from getting through to Russia and Belarus ... YouTuber Mercado Media has been talking about his problems with Russian copyright claims quite a bit lately, maybe you'd want to interview him as well? Details about this type of (attempted*) new Russian censorship targeting American & other international YouTubers, of course also including Ukrainian ones, would be really interesting to learn ... Andrew from Mercado Media only said, Russia's making copyright claims for all types of songs, texts and other content (specifically short clips taken from Russian tv), which have "Russian names and/or words" in them, regardless if the authors/content creators are TRULY Russian citizens, or their names are just being typed in Cyrillic letters, etc. And/or you might want to talk to Andrew in private, especially if you're experiencing similar issues here on your channel, which quite frankly might be a bit mysterious at the beginning, bc the way I understood it, Russia's complaining about copyright issues to YouTube and in turn YouTube's making Andrew some troubles, he then has to sort this all out with YouTube, which tbh can also be a bit frightening for full-time YouTubers, when they're suddenly getting threatened that they'll get or are in fact demonetized cause of copyright claims; (if I got all of that correctly as I'm not a native English speaker and I'm also no YouTuber ... so I'm very sorry if that's not been the most exact description of this phenomenon). * "Attempted", bc usually it's "fair use" and YouTube then accepts the video or stream after reviewing the copyright issue. I'll also have to explain this to several other YouTubers btw, bc they're also been fighting with "unexplainable copyright issues" recently, especially when wanting to show/debunk propaganda from Russian tv ... although they're clearly stating, that showing those clips is for educational purposes ONLY and certainly NO attempt of sharing Russian propaganda at all. PS. Sorry YouTube's been a bit behind with showing me your reply, so while I was typing the rest of my "novel in chapters" here, I couldn't see your reply yet ... so my first replies after yours, that aren't addressed to you are just me continuing my train of thoughts.

  50. @LisaNH934  (Me ~5 days ago and already feeling I'm late). Hi Lisa, 💛💙🤗💙💛 I'm sooo happy to see you again! Sorry for being a bit late with replying - I'm not sure if it's "just me", or if my gut feeling's correct, that our "beloved" ru trolls are so overly-active atm, that I'm pretty much getting overwhelmed with countering their bs claims I can detect, which results in me having to do more Google-research than usual, which is time consuming and I fall far behind quite easily. Research is crucial and necessary though, bc despite "smelling" them and their pro-russian bs, I'm far from knowing everything and I don't wanna reply only with: "those are ALL russian propaganda lies you're telling me here" + a list of the most popular ru narratives ... bc I know, I can't convince the trolls, but my goal is to bring the people, who're reading along to their senses by arguing better than the troll (if possible, although it's a never ending learning process). It's also a huge relief to hear in this video here, that even experts, foreign policy professionals and world leaders/politicians fall victim to russian propaganda, at least I won't feel too stupid when it happens to me again, bc I certainly remember feeling confused like Jonathan's guest after accidentally watching ru propaganda ... til I shook my head and reminded myself that this is exactly what their propaganda's aiming at. I guess it's the algorithm throwing everything Ukraine related at me, even clearly pro-russian stuff and I block them, but I'm keeping an eye on Prof Gerdes analysing them, bc it's fascinating to see how the other side's reacting to world news and how they try to spin everything to their own advantage. But I think it's not "just me", bc I'm getting more troll replies than usual, as I've just noticed after counting those from the past few days ... and I agree, it's indeed easy to spot their latest talking points and narratives, bc besides getting their replies I also read lots of their comments and I feel the main problem is, they're constantly adapting and coming up with new bs and lies. Like e.g. they're (likely instigating, fuelling and) using the middle East's struggles to distract us all from Ukraine. But the silver lining is, that this could be a huge sign of their own desperation and the upcoming end of russia as we know it atm, bc at least two or more people predicted highly increased troll activities shortly before all falls apart over there in ru - not sure, if it's been Vlad Vexler, K from "inside russia", Mercado Media, Starsky, Rick, Jonathan from this channel here, Geogijs from Ukraine Matters and/or Jake Broe saying this, mainly bc they've ALL noticed and explained troll activity patterns in their streams and videos at some point - the worse russia's in crisis, the more troll activity til they can't afford to pay them for their propaganda efforts anymore. Sending you both big hugs and hopefully 2024 will be the year this war ends with Ukrainian victory, (although I'm currently impatiently waiting for the "United West" to start moving again). & Of course I hope, that it's the year of healing for J. and you! 🤗💙💕💛🐾🇺🇦🐾💛💕💙🤗
