Tens of thousands?! I’d be surprised if it’s even 5000 people in total. There shouldn’t be any choice to get vaccinated. And she is not obligated to give those losers any attention.
1
This isn’t light rail. It’s extending the mainline.
1
It’s the nest step in any further improvements to the network.
1
Go home losers you are wasting your time and only running the risk of getting sick in the cold and wet weather.
1
What are you talking about? The wrong side of history will be proven to be the protestors. The local tow truck operators have declined because scumbag supporters of the protesters (in the USA) nave scope them out and intimidated them.
1
Can you name a single small country that railways have bankrupted then?
1
@gerardaygun2115 What are you talking about? France has one of the biggest most dynamic economies on earth, and is the largest nation in Europe.
1
@Staticcollective2019 And what could have the government done better? After all; the planning for it, which is where most errors in civil engineering projects are made, was all done by the government that was in power between 2008-17.
1
@ And… …have you got any examples of this allegation?
1
@Staticcollective2019 Yup just some vague allegations; and no actual concrete examples. You’re just blowing smoke.
1
@ Under the assumption that what’s reported in the media is ever entirely trustworthy: So it must be very easy for you to search and find and state here then. So what’s stopping you? C’mon let’s see an actual concrete example.
1
@tjfarias102 Fun fact: That is a complete load of fiction fabricated by some journalist from the evening post. The US marine corps had a war to win, they didn’t have time to build roads that 1940s automobiles couldn’t handle.
1
@Winahh Taylahh Why are you so insecure about your nationality?
1
@Winahh Taylahh Ahaahaha you obviously are VERY insecure about everything, including your nationality. Stemming from a massive inferiority complex. Otherwise you wouldn’t need to make nationality an issue to begin with, let alone indulge in some adolescent fantasy about another country and act like a adolescent. Let alone come to a video about the police force in another country that you have nothing to do with and clearly know not much about; buying some of the best Police cars available and picking & losing fights and making a fool of yourself. What I want to (*cough*) get to what’s underneath it all. Is it because you hate your job? Because you couldn’t achieve anything in school? Because you abused and bullied when you were growing up? Because your family is poor and uneducated? Because you’re in the homosexual closet?
1
They are another cut above crummy Holdens.
1
No. The national will pay for it. Because it is national infrastructure, for Kiwirail.
1
Hahaha what?! Nobody is going to be cycling let alone walking up those long steep inclines on the Auckland harbour bridge! That bridge is automobiles only. They will have to take off the clip-on’s at some stage. And then properly repair the damaged struts, and then revert it to a 4 lane bridge just for trucks and Northcote traffic. A tunnel under the harbour will replace the clipper ons and will also carry space for a light metro to convert the northern busway into.
1
No we don’t. We want the mandates to continue and these losers to drop the pantomime.
1
@TOTN17 plans to? Only 8 years away now. They previously planned to have one by now.
1
@ Wrong. It would now be very difficult and expensive. Because of the kirkbride road overpass of SH 20A. The plans have been changed to a future shuttle spur for the airport, and the future loop to more or less follow SH 20
1
@antontsau Listen to me: Vienna’s flughafen gets about 30 million passengers a year. By your own admission; its dedicated train services aren’t well patronised. Munich’s flughafen gets about 40 million passengers a year! Brisbane with 23 million passengers a year in its airport loses money big time on its railway service. Auckland international airport only gets about 18 million passengers a year. It’s not a very big and busy and important airport. A dedicated train service for Auckland airport cannot be justified at this stage. Aside from Auckland airport’s low passenger numbers; Auckland’s public transport system is not that well developed nor well patronised. And nowhere near the levels of integration would allow the sort of connections that would make an airport train attractive to customers. There’s already a shuttle bus between the airport and Puhinui station that is criminally underused, and quick & cheap. Maybe in the future, when Auckland has a more developed and integrated system, and there could be shuttles to Hamilton and maybe even Tauranga or Rotorua possible: It could be justified. But in the meantime: The only reason I can see why you and your ilk are so adamant in your demands for one is just another case of an insecure wanting to keep up with the Joneses.
1
@mjcats2011 Yeah I actually knew that there’s no real plans for a railway connection to Tullamarine. The media and politicians in Victoria have been raising it for decades but of course there’s nothing in the cards. Melbourne still has its grade separation and new tunnel and suburban loop projects to worry about.
1
@mjcats2011 The fact is that those projects are going to be trying up rail construction and funding across Melbourne for at least a decade. Well except the metro tunnel will be finished by later this year. But there’s no guarantee whatsoever that there will be a rail connection to Tullamarine in the foreseeable future.
1
@SD78 And when would that be? Name one time this shuttle has been stuck in traffic.
1
@ Did you commute in via Puhinui road and Tom Pearce drive?
1
They haven't begun fighting for their rights. They're trying to assert some imagined privilege and deny the rights of the rest of us.
1
@mcgruff3309 Railway already own a lot of that land.
1
Wrong. Czech Republic was never part of the USSR. It was part of Czechoslovakia, which was also never part of the USSR either, and Skoda are an engineering company that have been around since 1859, since before Karl Marx even wrote Das Kapital. You are an ignorant simpleton.
1
@P I'd say he's probably one of these walking joke Australian right-wingers like Pauline Hanson or that Craig Kelly.
1
And then upset the vast majority of New Zealand that supports them? Ah no. Not happening.
1
@ What are you taking about? You are an NRL fan gambling addict who has never been beyond Brisbane. And IKEA sucks. Low quality cheap tat.
1
@WinahhTaylahh Hahaha me cope over what? Oh no don’t tell me I don’t have an IKEA to buy cheap low quality crap that should be chucked away after a few years near me! Whatever will I do?
1
@WinahhTaylahh You need to cope every weekend when you’ve gambled more of your money away. Usually over the most rink-a-dink worst excuse for a professional sport in the world Rugby league.
1
@BigBlueMan118 Well it will allow other big improvements that seem impressive.
1
What are you talking about? If she controlled the police and dictated their duties, we’d all have a lot more to moan about.
1
@Bubonica-AoE We’re in a recession.
1
@mikedeverson788 There is nothing political about climate change.
1
@dave24-73 I don’t know where you lived in the UK or Australia. But the London system is always having lines out of action. Sometimes entire lines are out for just a weekend, other times for months. Luckily they have such an integrated system that buses and other lines can satisfactorily cover for the temporary closures. As for Sydney; all the time lines are out of action in weekends and sometimes longer due to maintenance. And their train system even when fully functioning has dreadful punctuality and reliability, the timetable is abandoned every night by 8PM. And most US cities have PT even worse than Auckland’s, even cities much bigger like Atlanta or Denver. And don’t forget Wellington has a PT system, and it doesn’t suffer the big problems that Auckland’s is currently suffering, so don’t tar the whole country. Auckland’s problems are only temporary, and they have to fix them some time. Don’t they? As for what a third world country is: Try visiting one some day and then go back to NZ…
1
@dave24-73 Ah 1952 was the beginning of… …*drumroll*… …the Cold War. Aw yeah. Len Brown is a right-wing reactionary, and he has a sympathetic right wing government in power to give him brownie points. Auckland Transport leave a lot to be desired, but as this Chris guy keeps telling you; they have nothing to do with Kiwirail’s network upgrades that are currently causing disruptions. Honestly; I’ve known some limited poms in my time. But you’re a bit slow even by their standards.
1
@chrismckellar9350 I agree that National are the biggest culprits. But Labour share blame too. Don’t forget that the 1999-2008 government did & started the greatest period of motorway construction.
1
Are you a bit simple? They’re preparing for what next when the CRL is finished.
1
@wlp7899 That depends upon where in Australian and which suburbs.
1
@WinahhTaylahh Nope Australian railways are generally bad too. Almost no railways in Tasmania, and no passenger trains of any description. No local railways for Wollongong, Geelong, nor the Sunshine coast. And the local railways for Newcastle and the hunter valley are just laughable. The light railways in Canberra and the Gold Coast still don’t serve most of the cities. And there are still large areas of the state capitals not served by rail.
1
The debacle with the ferries isn’t a sacrifice to get this built.
1
@sheepstreet Ah no.
1
@igoravonich2013 Your ideas are about 20 years out of date. European cars aren’t more expensive to maintain nor less reliable anymore. And neither is Toyota the most reliable brand.
1
@Staticcollective2019 You are very confused. None of the Waikato expressway was ever cancelled. And the thing only got off of the ground thanks to the labour government of 1999-2008.
1
@ That’s complete BS. The extensions beyond Cambridge were evaluated in 2020, during the last government. They now await further funding. Prior to that evaluation; there were no plans for any extension. So if anything; the last Labour government made them possible. You are either extremely badly informed, or you are very dishonest.
1
@ So why can’t I find a single document even suggesting it from prior to 2020? You’ve moved from claiming an entire cancellation to a “new” evaluation. You can’t keep it consistent. And your new claim sounds like a BS attempt to salvage something. I mysteriously can’t find any news stories about more accidents from any road in the South Waikato/Waipa region. Hmm I wonder why?
1
@ So why do you have such struggles with actually giving me any concrete examples?
