  2. Finland and Russia do NOT have any territorial claims against each other - zero. I have no idea where author gets any claims or what they are. Sure there are some politicians in Finland that want Karelia back but so there are people in a lot of countries that want X or Y back. There is no official claim of any kind.

Same for Moldova, by right of self determination of people,most basic right, human right, trnasnistria belongs to people of trnasnistria. Not to Moldova. Why it's so hard to understand, that we no longer live in times of tyrany, people have the right to decide!!!

  9. Compare number of Russian strikes to these of Israel - 1000s of killed in Gaza -- but look a strike ratio - many times more die from Israeli strikes than from Russian strikes. Israel used 3000 bombs - plus artillery for death of over 20,000 people killed. So few people per bomb. But Russia has less than 1/3 killed per bomb.... So Russia seems to have 1/10th kill ratio of Israel.

  17. It is a big PR win for Ukraine, not much loss for Russia and her navy. It is not a stalemate, Russia is clearly winning the war. Ukraine should surrender. As far as Black Sea fleet, it's smallest Russian fleet and this is not naval war, so even if 100% of it is destroyed it will not help Ukraine, they still lost the war. It was done for PR purposes.

  21. Yeah, it shows how bad Ukraine is doing - they are having very hard time taking Russian mobile defenses - i.e. Non fortified stuff. they also only advanced in one area. No advances anywhere else. I bet they reach main defensive line and call this "success" and west will spin it as retaking of 100 sq km of territory - huge success.

  22. We find out more about the ship - so far we can only agree there was an attack. Ship is very lightly protected and has only 4x machine guns. As for incursion into Russia the 70 KIA seems over the top, however they did suffer losses in light vehicles and thus some troops. I assume few dozen wounded few KIA. The main purpose of incursion was to draw attention away from total failure at Bakhmut.

  45. This has caused political bonanza for Putin - he can now get even Free Russia guys on board defending their own home. I.e. in time of danger people support the government. His popularity and reasons for war gain more traction. Internationally even more so - Russia now can point finger at "we fight on their side, they fight on our side". Its a total suicide by Kiev. Total desperation.

  48. With total failure of Ukrainian offensive Russia decided to start slowly liberating territory towards Seversk. I predict we may see Ukraine go to negotiating table maybe even this year, but 70% by spring of 2024.

  49. Ukraine now committed 90% of their forces to the counter offensive. Losses are out of this world - for example, Uroshine - village has left overs of no less than 28 vehicles in the village itself (!!!) Outside of the village easily 2x as many are located. This implies 1/4 of the vehicles of a brigade were lost (!) Against a force of 1 Russian company. WOW. Russians are good at defense. Continuing this offensive is madness.

  50. ​ @estevan1084 as per Kiev post population of so called free Ukraine is around 20m right now. Mosty elderly. Soon Ukraine will need total mobilization. Not that it will effect the end result. Just prolong struggle.
