@edenjames5062 it's waste of time. Better go to school. The only reason to volunteer is patriotic. If you stay as full time army for say 10 years then yes, you gain connections and possibly some useful skills. US model where they pay for your university makes far more sense. Maybe. Essentially only way to make military work is career I.e. You start at 18 go to military college or go NCO route till 50 when you retire. Note officer pension is way better than NCO. There is a reason why conscription was so hated in every country. It is waste of life.
2
@edenjames5062 prepared for what. This service used to be young people that fixed generals house. To make it worth while you need years. Otherwise it is only for patriotic reasons. Don't expect to learn much. This why compulsory service of one Year in East Europe was used to be avoided with bribes. Again, one year service for patriotism. Gift to your country. Don't expect any benefits back.
2
Note that by this day in 2025 Ukriane will have 300k troops less. This means there is no way they can recover. They are in down spiral.
2
Russian army is performing very well now. Russia would not expand into say Poland as there are no Russians in Poland. As simple as that.
2
Epic level mistake. Will cost them a country.
2
Some sources claim Russia has entered Sinkivka and even taken control of it or some of it. Big step if confirmed.
2
Please stop using Ukriane BS claims that have zero proof. Just ignore. Same as please stop using Deep state fake map.
2
I estimate Ukraine pernamenet losses at 700k pluł plus may be as high as over 800k. This includes at least 300k KIA, maybe be as high as 400k. Divide at least by 3 to get Russian losses. How on earth can Ukraine win is beyond me. How can any sane person belive in UA victory. How can anyone sane belive in UK propaganda.
2
Yes R 73.
2
@Kevin-xq2tv This is not normal hate - this is hate of regular people, of the culture etc. this is ... Nazism in its pure form. I mean ... Nazi Germans HATED Jews. I assume you will now justify hate of Jews by Nazi, correct? During WWII England was at war with Germany, but there was far and wide less hate - same as during WWI. Are you going to explain that?
2
😂😂😂
2
Defense plus interest payments us 45% of tax income. Which is more than Russia does during war.
2
He may - maybe not in the next few months but clearly if UA does not surrender they may loose that city.
2
There is at least 50% more on Russian side. For example, most of debt as well as at least 220b in assets.
2
@joostdriesens3984 But almost all you listed is with Russia as well or a tie.
2
Turkey got S-400 at great political and financial cost and US wants them to just give them up ;))) LOL! And what do they offer? F-35 ;) Maybe if they offered 100 F-35s for free and paid for S-400 then Turkey may have been swayed.
2
Problem is that Ukraine is taking epic level losses and it is only matter of time before they run out of men and women. There is no way Ukraine can keep taking these losses - most Russians are asking main question "When will Ukraine finally run out of men". A lot of experts are asking "When Ukraine will run out of men - will NATO send their men?" - the answer seems no --- hence why Ukraine is bound to loose the war.
2
Excellent idea. For these that do not know, M60 in Turkey are also Upgraded. And they are around same age! Ukraine is getting old Leopard 1s... And Russia is dissed on for upgrading T-55s and T-62s? Heck, we only seen T-62s so far.
2
@ZootyZoFo LOL, I also own Mosin. It is a good rifle. For militia purposes it is fine. The 2 MOA is good enough. No scope is also OK. It is not a problem for militia force at all. These guys are not exactly good shots and giving them a Mosin to play with is acceptable - same as some guys on UA side use Maxim guns or Maxim x3 for drone suppression duties. Russia of course has far more modern rifles that are used by more professional troops. Russia cannot produce its own drones? Well, they have better way to acquire them - called magic. Same with artillery shells - magic. There are actually no known WWII artillery systems in use - you mean 1950s - that is the oldest I saw. Again, no issue - US supplied Ukraine with same vintage artillery and no one is complaining. Many are used by 2nd rate militia forces. This is all an example of superior Russian manufacturing capability most likely helped by China vs. the west. The war cannot be won by the west as it simply is too weak manufacturing wise. Especially US is very weak in manufacturing and economically overall. The time of the west is now gone - we see rise of China as global hegemon.
2
People of Donbass - take your land back!
2
@seanniemeyer5437 We know what is a win - restoration of 1992 borders - as per Zielinski.
2
They could not side with Germany for long as they were mortal enemies. Both sides were evil but opposite evil. One cannot hide heavy initial support for Germany by the west.
2
Maybe. But I have a feeling Ukraine may be forced to the table this year.
2
But patriot, inferior to s 300 does not have enough range. They may dissalow some flying over front line but only for short time, before they are destroyed. Most likely 1 system will be used for city defense, another may be used on the front line.
2
It is now certain they will loose and any aid is waste of money.
2
Which we see already in the Russian breakthrough. They simply run.
2
You were not wrong at all. The guy is UA propaganda. He is just not as crazy as others. Watch video again and see how heavy propaganda he is.
2
Which is legal. I.e. you are not forced to take on prisoners. Killing wounded enemy that is incapable of resisting is actually a war crime under Geneva (Additional Protocols of 8 June 1977 to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, para. 1620)
2
Better yet provide them with 0% - would save even more lives. Also NATO did provide around 10% of military budget to Ukraine --- so not sure why you picked 1% - 0% seems as good. Money provided so far is over 200B. So over 100B per year. Total NATO budget for 2022 is 1172B.
2
Willy for God's sake, you correctly stated attrition war goals. But why you don't just say Russia is winning? What Ukraine offensives, they clearly lost.
2
Ukraine getting nukes would be a big deal. Anything else - meh, they lost the war.
2
Regarding refinery damage, minimal to none. Better check out videos of massive damage to Ukriane electricity power plants. It will take years to fix.
2
He says a lot of things - they are frequently "aimed". I would not consider what he says for or against as "reliable".
2
Nah, most women left - these that did not work in some other support roles. The rest is elderly. They can recruit more women - this can prolong the war for years if they want to really go till the last Ukrainian.
2
Russia adds 70 planes per year during peacetime. So loosing say 80 per year is within replacement ability. Regarding Russian guy saying "he was given no papers", in a Soviet system, which Russia descended from such thing is impossible.
2
So that is not possible for Ukraine.
2
Even if they do that now what - a lot of terrain is marsh land and there are multiple smaller rivers. Even if that was taken care of, now what? They need ammo, fuel etc. Building bridge is nice and all but you will realize that Russia with its superior missile forces is going to have far easier time taking these out than Ukraine did.
2
What about Azov - SS comparison? They have same emblems and same ideology. Some even spoken same language.
2
Yes, volume of fire. Here Russia has huge advantage. Thus UA will take heavy losses as usual.
2
@mfallen2023 So Turkey is out as its neutral. UK has no land forces so who cares. EU has lower tech than Russia in say air force and certainly in tanks and drones, tech edge is with Russia. The strongest land army in EU is certainly Poland - this could be supplemented by air forces from France / Germany. Main advantage EU has is long term manpower and long term production capacity. Also EU is large - Russia does not have enough resources to occupy such land nor need for it. To summarize EU is not really worth it ;) EU is very similar to Byzantine empire - it has empire in its name and may be vast but is very weak in every respect. Its powerful in name only. EU is the sick man of earth.
2
@mfallen2023 They cannot be out there with US and China. Their economies are too weak. Look at economy of EU past 2008 - its a disaster. Even power economies of EU, like Germany or Poland cannot catch up to world average - not to mention to US or (wow) China. Heck, Russia is a total power house of Europe as its economy is fastest growing in Europe. It is now the largest. When most sanctioned country in the world makes Germany look slow - what does that mean? Most likely any such war would end up in a draw. Even if you somehow convinced both sides to a fight. Russia does not have the demographics of Europe - they simply have too few people to take on EU. With help from say China and with EU getting help from say US, and if somehow you could mind control people to fight - no nukes, Russia would run over EU. Once demographics is taken care off EU is finished.
2
@terjeoseberg990 lol, Russia has best anti drone systems on Earth. So what. Numbers matter.
2
@krispypriest5116 Russia has excellent drone jamming against FPV drones. They need more.
2
@tallshort1849 LOL, there are videos from Bakhmut that totally contradict this made by UA. I.e. Russians are certainly not out of ammo.
2
@atthesink Yes it is - and its not 1 vs 30 its more like 150 vs 50.
2
Frog VS. Bear. What result do you expect? If Europe crosses all red lines so will Russia. And we know, Europe will loose. No one in Europe is that stupid. France as usual is just spinning the pot. The war is lost. They should plan for that.
2
Nah pilot is more important than a plane. Without pilot you cannot use planes. With a pilot, once plane is available, you have a weapon. Also ejection systems are violent but pilot is not prohibited from future flying. They may be too injured for combat duty, but can be used at say pilot school etc. This is why Russia exchanged cold blood Nazi for their pilots - at a ratio of at least 2 Nazi per 1 pilot.
2
LOL, Poland already issues documents to Ukrainian men so they don't even try to get Russian ones ;) Total failure for Ukraine. Again. No one is going to kick young men that can work from Poland. Its just BS talk.
2
This guy is sane pro UA. Denys is insane pro UA.
2
@leejones4429 In July 2022 Zielinski said that they have 1 million army. That was 2022. I assume that they did get some more troops in, correct? That is just in few months! Lets say that Ukraine adding pace slowed down a LOT. Clearly they should have been able to add 500,000 over almost two years as replacements. So that gives us 700k deployed. Math fully supports Ukraine loosing permanently 800k - or else Ukraine would be storming Moscow. It also fully underscores the need for 500k that was said at the beginning of the year - on top of "regular" efforts. Alternatively you can look at Russian losses - then use any handy WWII book about losses in static positional war - get any western source about Russian artillery superiority, get statistics of kills per round etc. and you also come up with huge UA losses.
