@beyondbackwater4933 according to Kiev idenoendant it's 20m in Ukraine.
2
No one thinks Ukraine can do much - a better question is - will Russia go for big arrow offensive or not?
2
@MykhayloS Epic level losses - dozens. Most taken out by mines. At this rate Ukraine will loose 100s of vehicles in the very first week. And offensive will be over.
2
@MykhayloS No you cannot - you cannot share links here. We probably will have a lot of confirmations in the next 24h - max 48h. Lets just say Russians are in celebration mode.
2
Ukraine took heavy losses.
2
@azamatbagatov7161 I think confusion is there regarding type of trenches. Some are terrible some are great. There is no one type of a trench. The main line trenches - as per pictures are indeed great - but forward trenches are frequently very shallow, offer minimal protection and no side reinforcement at all. I assume the later type also has a lot of trash around. You dispose of garbage same as at home - you have a garbage bag you dump stuff into. If you are brave enough to have a fire, you can burn some of the garbage.
2
@ThoreVeldur wait didn't US get ammo from the great democracy of Pakistan?
2
It's PR attack.
2
I would. There is a connection.
2
He is very pro Ukraine. But it's hard to hide they lost the war when any semi intelligent dog can see it.
2
Cost now lowest in the war. Ukraine cost highest. Cost wise total RU victory.
2
Avdiivka was important for Ukraine as it was a bastion from which they could attack Donetsk and next large city is 50km away. Now with this base, Russia will be able to push west more easily - again - next city is 50km away! There are no major bastions - its just fields and few village far and between. Also it was a rout - i.e. disorganized, fleeing Ukrainian troops were chased out by the Russians with massive UA losses.
2
@nudisco7882 so Russia is also doing great with their constant march in Donbass. Also if we go by WWII and WWI Russia is clearly winning. Both wars were won by the side that had better demographics and better production capacity. Here Russia clearly dominates even without general mobilization that Ukraine has. So you agree, Russia is winning?
2
Morale collapse. Everyone in UA knows war is lost.
2
ICC is not recognized by more than 2/3 of humanity. And most of the 30% are not too happy.
2
Its propaganda.
2
All these recent revelations, now officially confirmed, prove Russia had justification for this war. NATO is shown to be aggressive, untrustworthy organization aimed at world domination by any means.
2
@vs-tm1ch Cope. No one defends so hard something that has no value. Some of the best troops are in the area as well - you cannot have 20 brigades of just national guard. Come on - there is UA deployment map ;) Can check it yourself. This battle shapes up to be the pivotal battle of the war - like say "Stalingrad" or "Kursk".
2
Facts on the ground say exact opposite. Soviets invested heavily in air defense - same as with Russia - so establishing any air superiority and using air power by the west would be a distant dream. Look at Ukraine with their old Soviet era equipment. They were able to prevent any Russian adventures now for around a year. 100s of systems destroyed by the Russians - but still 100s operational. Strongest air defenses entirely in Europe - making countries like Germany look weak by comparison. Now imagine how strong are Russian more numerous and more modern defenses.
2
The 500k shows how big UA losses are. They are huge. I think this proves my estimate of 200k KIA minimum was spot on.
2
Mig statue has been smashed by UA. Come on. Everyone knows that. As for counter attack UA does not have forces to do this. It's just a joke. They may try smaller operation but are too weak.
2
Who will win? Obviously not Ukraine - they already lost. The fight is how much Russia will win. The fundamentals of this war are firmly on Russian side - i.e. they can more easily replace people and more easily replace equipment. As long as Russian will holds - and it seems so - Ukraine is done.
2
Well, it was not a mistake. They simply painted it as a mistake to get extra 3B.
2
@giovanni-ed7zq We have video confirmation.
2
@rainman2222 Russians have far and wide better tank crossing ability that Ukraine. So what - tank crossing of water body for brand new T-90M which Russia has 100s of is not easy. You not only need to setup the snorkel system but also find a suitable spot to cross. For western tanks it is nearly impossible in real life - i.e. you will not see Challenger 2 cross a deep river 99.99% of the time. All immersion training for Russian tanks is done in concrete channel. The seals are of least worry of the tankers.
2
Some idiots think that this is somehow Putin's war. Putin will not live forever. His replacement will be a Russian as I do not think anyone sane will try to invade Russia & take over. His Russian replacement will be pro Russia - as he should. Thus it will be in his or her best interest to keep Ukraine out of NATO.
2
Flashlight is clearly illegal.
2
The elevation difference is over 100m near 4 villages. Its a death trap and a fire bag.
2
West run out of javelin. Then artillery then APCs then tanks. Now aircraft are on the menu.
2
Yeah, it had HK flag.
2
@nudisco7882 With what? paper ones?
2
Russia may have lost single bomber. Or aircraft indeed were engaged without losses. Or Russian troops on the attack there are super close for bomb dropping. Or something else.
2
😂😂😂 Sure. 😂😂😂
2
@aidanloveridge1721 Population pre war 37m as per Kiev. 8.2 registered in Europe. Over 2m in Russia. At least 1m in territories taken over by Russia. You do the math.
2
Ukraine moved air defense close to the front to counter Russian air power - for that they got smashed. There is simply no way Ukraine can win this - they are too badly out gunned. Russia now has air supremacy in Donbass.
2
They will do as well as current fleet of MiG-29s - they are a direct replacement. Nothing to worry about for Russia - just keeping UA flying longer.
2
Yalta is for victorious not looser.
2
Are you crazy? No one is coming back to Ukriane. I talked to 25 year old Ukrainians in Canada. They admitted they would be already dead if they stayed. There is zero chance they go back. They are more likely to go to Russia. The men will simply not update their passports. I.e. They will let them expire. They may also ask for Russian passport.
2
Will the war even last next 12 months? When this war started I predicted war will last 4 years or 5 years if UA uses women heavily - max. Based on UA losses. There should be more of a push for Ukraine to surrender. The war is clearly lost. If the war is allowed to continue, Ukraine will loose more people and more land. There is next to zero chance of a frozen conflict as Russia is not interested in it at all. As for "land taken" it is total BS - look at WWI - we see similar thing. But it was rather clear by 1917 allies will win. Again, Ukraine should surrender, same as Germany in 1918.
2
Sure, but they cannot stretch Russians as they have force parity - so net effect is that Ukraine got drawn even more into the area making offensive operations anywhere else more difficult.
2
Scrap uranium prices... Dropped. 😊
2
Patriot is over 4m. I doubt they use these vs. these drones through. I bet a lot of drones simply hit targets - problem is they can be adjusted in flight so you can use them to take air defenses once spotted.
2
@TheNilla2020 LOL no, they are using their old Soviet stuff and some old Soviet stuff they got from say Poland - but 90% of the Soviet stuff is their own. As for other countries the systems are drop in the bucket - they are next to none. Problem is where are they getting all these extra missiles - someone is making more, there is no way they would not have run out by now.
2
True - but given that at least 4 pipes were hit - some distance from each other and destroyed over wide area I have a feeling this was unlikely to be few guys with scuba gear. This could be done on the "cheap" but by a team.
2
@aboner2551 So what - if the defender is already dead or has no means to take on attacker. The BS of "attacker takes more losses than defender" has been disproven in like 100 previous conflicts in the last 50 years. The attacker only takes higher losses when forces are roughly of similar fire power & do not differ hugely in numbers. Here Russians have huge advantage. What was US city fighting experience like again? Against determined enemy? That enemy took 10x+ the losses - as per US. I.e. all that artillery, aircraft and tanks are not just accessories you know - they do matter.
2
If it was a false flag, why would they not use a real drone. Please people, Fpv drone costs like 500. Why would Russia provoke there? It is unlikely they have strength now to go for Odessa.
1
Why would Russia negotiate? They would simply do a counter offensive and cut off all Ukrainian troops.
1
How can China... land grab Taiwan if as per international law and as per US and almost every country on Earth Taiwan is part of China???? Seriously? There is no international law - look at US wiping their rear end with anything that says "international". Russia is not interested in any "freezing" of the conflict - they been there and done that - not interested as per official channels.
1
LOL, no Su-34 is much bigger loss than a patrol ship on strategic and tactical level.
1
Russian partisants provided targeting.
