Any Conservative party worth its salt would have spent the last decade or so undoing everything Blair did. The fact that they haven't is shameful.

I can't think of a court system or government I'd trust with the death penalty.

The lesson for the few remaining parts of Europe that aren't yet so diverse is to hold on to their homogeneity for as long as possible, because the bitterness, envy, and division that come with diversity simply aren't worth it.

Once again, the Liberal Universalists have been shown to be the problem. They spent the last several decades facilitating the rise of China, while imposing Multiculturalism & mass-migration upon European countries. Both of which have been disastrous.
113
He and Dawkins chipped away at western Christianity - which, despite its (mostly minor) faults, was one of the last defenses we had against this madness (and against Islam).

With the greatest respect to Dr. Starkey, the Conservative Party is still the same one that refused to heed Enoch Powell's warnings, and effectively kicked him out of the party. The problem isn't just that the Party did virtually nothing of any use with the last 14 years of government, it is all the preceding decades when it could have prevented what was coming, but didn't. It is just as much an architect of the mess modern Britain is in as the Labour Party is. I wish him luck in his attempts to reform it from within, but I suggest conservative voters shouldn't go back to a lover who has cheated on them many times in the past, so to speak.

Muslims in the UK hold sex-segregated events regularly, and local Labour Party politicians have often happily attended them to remind the attendees to vote for them. The Guardian's outrage at single-sex spaces is selective and race-based.
59
I like the SDP's platform. They deserve more exposure.
57
I'd like to see all social media companies forced to block under 18s from using their apps. One of the greatest gifts we could give younger generations is to be able to grow up without social media.
54
the demonstrations have been very useful in an "enough rope" sort of way
48
In practice Multiculturalism just means the non-Europeans are encouraged to keep their distinct identities and to act in their own collective self-interest, while the only identity Europeans are allowed to have is one that welcomes their own replacement.
46
A friend of mine works in a Catholic school in Australia. They begin staff meetings by reciting an "acknowledgment that they are on stolen Aboriginal land" first before saying a prayer.
44
An Englishman could never be considered Aboriginal Australian or Native American, but anyone in the would can (apparently) be English if they wish. This double standard will be impossible to ignore indefinitely.
36
@colincharlton9339 Yep. But it is true. This "Racism" concept needs to change. It is the source of many of the West's problems. It cannot be considered immoral for Western European ethnic groups to want to remain the large majority demographic in their own homelands.
31
How can a minority vote him out? @SzTz100
31
Decolonization for me but not for thee, it seems.
30
@28pbtkh23 Noble-savage myth.
29
@Mike-te8mo Men did give women the vote, and there is no connection between women getting the vote and mass-immigration into Britain. Search for voting patterns at each election going all the way back to 1945 and you'll see that women voted Conservative at every election until 2017. The same cannot be said of men, who often voted for Labour.
28
The entire point of the progressive agenda, when you really examine it, is to demographically displace Europeans in their own homelands, and to do away with their nation-states.
27
Try calling yourself a native in Australia and see how far that gets you. Unless you're Aboriginal you aren't native. @ModerateObserver
27
What is being described as "Liberalism" could perhaps be more accurately described as authoritarian Cosmopolitanism.
26
It is interesting that the people introducing these laws usually describe themselves as Liberals.
24
The Tories aren't Conservative, unfortunately. They're Liberal, and Liberalism is why the radical so-called "woke" crowd has been allowed to succeed, backed by billion-dollar corporations and NGOs. There is no Liberal solution to this problem.
21
@edwardbernthal160 First of all there are significant differences in crime rates between Pakistanis and English in Denmark. Secondly the English are closer to the Danes culturally and racially (the differences have a way of manifesting themselves, e.g. Identity Politics) than Pakistanis. The English also are also generally less of a cost to the Danish taxpayer in terms of welfare spending than people from the Middle-East. But even so, I wouldn't want the English to overwhelm the Danes demographically in their homeland any more than I'd want the reverse to happen. I'd like unique European peoples to be able to retain their own ancestral homelands in which they and their culture are the majority. Some diversity is alright. Too-much is unreasonable. There is already one Pakistan. There is only one England and one Denmark.
20
the Tory Party would rather cease to exist than do anything conservative. They'll get their wish soon.
20
The Tory Party could have defunded all of this stuff any time in the last 13 years.
20
@EllieMaes-Grandad What else was he supposed to do except warn us? He was kicked out of the Conservative party for it.
19
My aunt has been a school teacher all her adult life and is approaching retirement age. She told me recently that in the last few years she's had dozens of students claim that they are 'transgender' and insist upon different names, something she had never encountered in all her years of teaching.
19
As long as we're all afraid being being considered racist, we're still dancing to the Left's tune, even if you have 'Conservative' in front of your name. Native Europeans ("White people" if you prefer) need to seriously consider their own self-interest, because no one else will. If that is "Racist" then it begs the question: So what? What use to us is this "Racism" concept if it used to attack us by people who don't have our self-interest at heart, and if it prevents us defending said self-interest?
19
I noticed about a decade ago that there is a paucity of books and scholarly works defending Nationalism and the Nation-State. Plenty to be found condemning it, but few defending. This is quite odd when you consider that our globe is entirely covered in nation-states, and has been now for a very long time. Clearly they serve some useful purpose if they are so persistent. I shall have to read Mr Hazony's book.
18
@AllanHinde-mb2pr You've looked around at the modern world and concluded we're not self-absorbed enough already?
18
Here's the policy I would propose to any party staffers watching: call it the "80/20 Rule." The traditional populations of European countries must not fall below 80%. The other 20% can (and should) be treated fairly and decently. No violence or persecution is required. Calibrate immigration and citizenship policies to meet those demographic targets. No one could accuse this policy of persecuting minority citizens (though of course they will try).
17
@saturationstation1446 'Grooming' gangs are not imaginary, sadly.
17
That is because Leftists have an egotistical need to see themselves as heroes for the least-fortunate, and gallant fighters against the powerful. There are people in the world far-less fortunate than White Europeans, so Left sympathies lie with them. Leftists are on a never-ending quest to find people more deserving of their solidarity. They can never be satisfied with the working people they have in their own countries.
17
It is Authoritarian Cosmopolitanism. That's why it unites both Leftists and Liberal/Capitalist corporations + NGOs: they both share Cosmopolitanism as an ideal. Though they differ on economics, they are united in their desire to do away with the nation-state and relatively homogeneous European societies.
16
There are 50 majority-Muslim counties in the world. Meanwhile there are only 44 countries in Europe. Are we not entitled to wonder how many European countries are to be allowed to remain only minority-Muslim?
16
You're not even allowed to say that there are "indigenous" people in Britain. The Left considers it false and racist.
16
They said the "white" working class, not the "working class" generally. The Andrew Neather revelations made it pretty clear how the Labour party feels about whites. Labour feels it's loyalties lie with a never-ending stream of arrivals from the non-white parts of the world who will eventually render the problematic whites an irrelevant, powerless minority.
16
Culture is largely a product of demographics.
15
the Liberal centre too.
14
I wonder where workers unions are in all this? Surely employers shouldn't have the right to impose their ideological beliefs upon employees. When was it decided it was now OK for bosses to lecture workers on political/philosophical matters as if they are the worker's parents? I guess if the unions are anything like the Labour party they're probably enthusiastically supporting the bosses in this.
14
I agree, if for no other reason that cramming the curriculum full of all this superfluous "Social Studies" stuff is taking away valuable time from literacy and numeracy. It is better for schools to do a few important things very thoroughly, than to do a lot of things not every well.
13
The lesson from all of this is that social change - even bad, unpopular change - comes from highly motivated small minorities who get off their backsides and get involved. Sitting on the sidelines is failure, and I'm as guilty of it as anybody.
13
"sex positivity" is a rebranding of hedonism. it argues there is something wrong with someone who dislikes hook-up culture.
13
I don't think anyone should be prosecuted for speech, but if speech is to be criminalized then what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
13
It would be nice to think that Identity Politics could be "opted out of" by all. But in reality Identity Politics is inevitable when you have diversity. Diversity + Proximity = different groups competing for dominance. The Martin Luther King Jr ideal (though admirable) was always unrealistic. Liberal idealists need a dose of Realism.
12
@GlasPthalocyanine You're not sure that Islam is a problem? Have you been watching what is happening in Western Europe in the last few weeks, let alone the last few decades?
12
@mr.mayhem7402 Enough with the defeatism.
12
I agree. Although I appreciate him sticking his neck out publicly to the extent that he has. It's much easier for us who remain anonymous (and who don't have careers depending on being politically correct).
12
At some point during the Cold War, Conservatism became all about Capitalism, which is a problem. Economic Liberalism has it's benefits and its drawbacks. Social Conservatism is very difficult in a society dominated by Liberalism.
