Also the constitution of 1787 differs quite a bit from the articles of confederation or the declaration of independence a decade earlier, and is a more conservative document. After a decade of chaos it was decided a more nationalist document was needed, with less of Jefferson's liberal idealism.

  20. Since the 1990s the Left have become accustomed to their opposition being Neo-Conservatives and Neo-Liberals (not much difference), so when they encounter something more like real Conservatism it seems extreme and unfamiliar to them.

  21. We really need laws to deal with the power of NGOs (non-government agencies). They're a massive chunk of the problem in this issue. Billions of dollars are flying around financing social campaigns, often with opaque origins. Democracy is supposed to be one vote of equal value per person. The unrestrained power of money undermines that democratic principle.

  23. If historical figures that are European cause anger in non-Europeans (either for justifiable or non-justifiable reasons), then that is all the more reason to reduce non-European immigration into Europe.

  24. I hate to depress anyone about the monarchy, but as the demographics of the country change, it seems to me inevitable that the Royals will increasingly try to appeal to non-white-British people in an effort to prolong their reign. It wont work, of course, but that's likely what they'll do.

Also the idea that female voters are the cause of the modern mess our countries are in is a myth perpetuated to turn European men and women against each other. British voters down the decades - male and female - have consistently expressed a desire for lower immigration, and they have been betrayed by both major parties (male and female members among them).

  26.  @jeremysmith8035  If the Labour Party weren't so pro-Immigration they'd probably be in government now. They lost the north largely because they give the impression a majority-white-British country is something to be ashamed of and done-away with. Instead of berating native Europeans for wishing to broadly conserve the demographic makeup of their countries, how about accepting their wish and removing a massive road-block to removing the Tory Party from power? Left parties in Denmark & Sweden have begun to realise the folly of supporting large-scale immigration against the wishes of their would-be voters.

It's worth noting that Labour is willfully passing up a golden, once-in-a-generation chance to win back masses of white voters from the Right by using their majority in parliament to shut down immigration. All they have to do is come out and say "There's nothing wrong with the white British remaining the majority in Britain, so we're going to massively reduce immigration while also protecting non-white minorities" - this would be welcomed by most voters.

  29. The problem with the "Race isn't important" thing is it is always selectively applied - e.g. only really ever applied to white people. Everyone else's race apparently is very important and must be highlighted and celebrated, but white people must not notice their own, unless it is in some negative or apologetic way. Perhaps the ideal that we all look past race is unrealistic, if noble?

This deconstruction game could be played with any ethnic group anywhere, but is only every done to white people who express reluctance to be made into minorities in their ancestral homelands by the mass arrival of people who already have ancestral homelands of their own.

  33. Nothing needs to be done to them. You just count them and adjust immigration numbers accordingly. So if births push the percent below 80, immigration levels are reduced to compensate.

  35. I think it's important we note that people can realistically only have a bare minimum amount of opportunities in common. Some people will always have more opportunities in life than others because different outcomes naturally lead to more and better opportunities. The child of parents who achieved "X" are going to have more opportunities than a child of parents who achieved "Y". To the Left this is unjust, but for the rest of us it shouldn't be seen as such.

  42. I don't think it would collapse, just as it didn't collapse after the 1940s and 30s. Instead it will be an ever-present phenomenon that must be managed. It can't be eradicated, and attempts to eradicate it just make the problem worse, as they did from 39-45.

  47. The Liberals won't do anything about it. They're not a socially conservative party. Neither are the UK Tories. If it isn't tax cuts and migrant workers for corporations they're not interested.

  48. From her point of view it's a win-win situation: She gets all the benefits of living in a country created by white people AND gets applauded and promoted for bad-mouthing it. She won't suffer any significant downsides.
