@goodaimshield1115 Wherever you are now and you call yourself intelligent for coming here and making a fool out of yourself? The Latins are not the Italians whose ancestors the Romans spread the Latin language and Latin culture all over including what they called Hispania which is what is now Spain and Portugal? Then centuries later the colonizers, French, Portuguese and Spaniards, brought it here and imposed it on you? Stop the lies and educate yourselves.

@Tritone Latino means Latin in English. Blame your Amigo, Mexican Frank del Olmo who created this identity mess for you. He chose the term Latino instead of Latin American without knowing it's meaning. http://www.latino-news.press
1
@saintchaosdavila No the term Latino/Latin never changed its meaning. It cannot change because is not a word it's a History, Roman History and it can never change. Latino/Latin refers to Romance languages and Roman Latin Culture. Too much ignorance on these boards.
1
@goodaimshield1115 People from Latin America are Latin Americans. Latino /Latin only refers to Romance languages and Roman Latin Culture and nothing else. Blame Mexican Frank del Olmo. He created this mess for you. The term Latino/Latin can only ne used when identifying ones culture. The Latin Europeans seldom say it because Latin is not their Race. Latin is their culture. The same applies to people of Latin America. They have to stop saying Latino, Latino, Latino ad nauseam. They have to identify themselves as Mexicans, Cubans...or Latin Americans or use their races as we all do.
1
@PacificCircle1 NO. It was a Mexican by the name of Frank del Olmo who wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas under one label and he chose incorrectly the term Latino instead of Latin American without knowing what Latino/Latin meant and where this great heritage came from: Italy.
1
@goodaimshield1115 You got that right. These people have no idea of what Latino/Latin means and where it came from. They have to call themselves either Latin Americans or Mexicans, Cubans...or use their races as the Latin Europeans do because Latin is not their race this why they seldom call themselves Latins unless they are identifying their culture. Latin is the languages and culture of the Latin Europeans. NO, there is no Latin Skin Color Ok?
1
@elrayado1228 What the people of Latin America think about the meaning of Latino/Latin is totally wrong. Latino/Latin it's all about languages and culture, Romance Languages and Roman Latin Culture.

@ozzygrrrr7657 What you should do before you post your comments is read what other people have said on the subject. If you had done it you would know more and be able to expand on it. "Latino" was actually the creation of a Mexican man named Frank del Olmo. Frank del Olmo more than 30 years ago wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas under one label and instead of choosing "Latin Americans" he chose "Latino" which is grammatically incorrect in English-in correct English is LATIN/LATINS and it doesn't describe the people of the Americas because "Latino/Latin" is a 2000 year-old term which describes the language of the Romans ,Romance Languages, and their Latin Culture and the Latin People of Europe: Italians, French, Romanians, Portuguese and Spaniards. Latin refers to only language and culture and not the way you in the Americas have interpreted. Sorry there is no Latin Skin Color and there is no Latin Food. Blame Frank del Olmo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=91s

@UC9eQKvOfzeELbvwkXP8YRjA No you cannot take somebody else's identity and use it for yourselves. It's called " Cultural Appropriation". When you use the term Latin or Latino which is the same thing you are implying that you have inherited the language (Romance Languages) and culture of the Romans. Latin and Latino do not have any other means. The French called your area "Amerique Latine" (Latin America) and anybody from Latin America is a "Latin American" or a Mexican or a Cuban or a Puerto Rican but NOT Latin. Latin is a language and a culture and you cannot change this. A language and culture originating in Italy. I told you who created this identity problem for you. It was Mexican Frank del Olmo. he was ignorant and he didn't know that Latino is not the same as "Latin American" and whether the Latin comes from. Did you check my links? Do you understand what this Mexican lady is saying to all of you? Socially Acceptable a LIE? No. Latino americano is incorrect in English. In English is "Latin American". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=91s
1
@PacificCircle1 No you don't know what Latino means. Latino first of all it's grammatically incorrect in English-correct way is Latin. Latin is the ancient language of the Romans and their culture. Latin also refers to Romance languages: Italian, French, Romanian, Portuguese and Spanish. Latin is the heritage of the Romans and Italians and nothing to do with you. You are "Latin Americans" Blame Mexican Frank del Olmo because he created this identity problem for you.

@PacificCircle1 LATIN in English language and LATINO/LATINA in Italian, Romanian, Portuguese and Spanish languages. Saying Latino/Latina while writing or talking in English it's grammatically incorrect.
1
@goodaimshield1115 In English it's LATIN. These are the real Latins: Italians, French, Romanians, Portuguese and Spaniards and have been Latins for more than 2000 years since the Romans. The people of Latin America are "Latin Americans" No Latino, No Latins , No Latinx and No Hispanic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=92s
1
@PacificCircle1 People from what the French colonizers called "Amerique Latine" (Latin America) are LATIN AMERICANS. No Latino, no Latins, No Latinx, No Hispanic.
1
@goodaimshield1115 it's not that they can call themselves Latins (Latinos is incorrect in English). They are the only Latins in Latin Europe. Those of Latin America are misusing the term Latin, Latino when they should call themselves Latin Americans and not Latins. It's called Cultural Appropriation. They have no idea of what Latin Latino means. No, it's not the same as Latin American. http://www.latino-news.press.
1
@PacificCircle1 NO. Latino was the invention of Mexican Frank del Olmo. Instead of Latin Americans he chose Latino which is even grammatically incorrect in English. No, Latin American cannot be shorten into Latin/Latin. These are the Latins: Italians, French, Romanians, Portuguese and Spaniards. Nobody can change it . http://www.latino-news.press
1
@PacificCircle1 Approximate understanding it's not enough. First of all it's Latin in English and not Latino then Latin has a more than 2000 years old Roman definition. Latin, Lingua Latina was the language spoken by the Romans and their culture. You cannot take Latin America which you don't even deserve and make it Latin/Latino and give to it a different meaning. No, Latin is not your Mestizo Skin Color and it's not an abbreviation for Latin American. Latin means Roan heritage. This is why the Latin French colonizers used the term "LATIN" when they named "LATIN" America.
1
Sorry to say that you are neither Hispanic nor Latino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be
1
You mean "Latin Americans" have been a mixed race since the 1400's. No Latinos, no Latins, no Hispanics and no Latinx. "Latin Americans".
1
You mean "Latin Americans" are a mix race people.
1
You identify yourselves the wrong way. You have to use your race/races to identify yourselves like we all do and these are the races: White, Blacks, Asian and Red-Skin Indian or you may have to find the better combination for yourselves individually depending on your DNA mixing. Then Latino is not grammatically correct when speaking or writing in English. It's wrong to say "I'm Latin, I'm Latina". In correct English is "I'm Latin" whether masculine or feminine. However, your continent was named "Latin America" by the Latin European colonizers, French, Portuguese and Spaniards, and it was not named "Latino"!!! The term Latino instead of Latin American was invented by a Mestizo man called Frank del Olmo who years ago wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas and he chose the term Latino which is grammatically incorrect in English and Hispanic "Hispanic-Latino" as an Ethnicity for the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas without knowing that Latin American is not the same as Latino. The two term have different meaning and Latino has nothing to do with the Latin Americans. So Blame Frank del Olmo for the mess. If the people of Latin America want to do the right thing they have to identify themselves by using their race like we all do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be
1
@JoaoSantos-lj3jp Blame your amigo Frank del Olmo. He wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas and chose the term Hispanic-Latino" as their "Ethnicity"!!! without inquiring about the meaning of those terms and their origin. NO, definitely NO, Latino is not the same as Latin American and Latino is grammatically incorrect in English. The correct way is LATIN singular and LATINS plural, masculine and feminine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be THE REAL LATIN HISTORY-ALL ROMAN,ALL ITALIAN, ALL EUROPEAN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=2s NO HISPANIC, NO LATIN, NO LATINO, NO LATINA NO LATINX YOU ARE MOSTLY "MESTIZO-INDIGENOUS" AND "LATIN AMERICANS" LATIN -LATINO-LATINA DOESN'T MEAN WHAT YOU THINK THAT IT MEANS AND THAT LATIN AMERICAN DOESN'T MEAN LATINO. @rebekahalcarraz8242 Not correct. As an Italian she is Latin. These are the Latins and the Latins come from Europe and NOT from Latin America. You are a Latin American. Go here and learn what it mean to be a Latin. Latino/Latina is incorrect in English. The correct way is LATIN singular and LATINS plural, masculine and feminine. Blame your Amigo Frank del Olmo. Frank del Olmo caused all these identification problems for you. He chose the term Hispanic-Latino without knowing what they meant and where these terms originated from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be THE REAL LATIN HISTORY-ALL ROMAN,ALL ITALIAN, ALL EUROPEAN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=2s NO HISPANIC, NO LATIN, NO LATINO, NO LATINA NO LATINX YOU ARE MOSTLY "MESTIZO-INDIGENOUS" AND "LATIN AMERICANS" LATIN -LATINO-LATINA DOESN'T MEAN WHAT YOU THINK THAT IT MEANS AND THAT LATIN AMERICAN DOESN'T MEAN LATINO. @JoaoSantos-lj3jp Sorry, I must have posted on the wrong place.
1
Are you Roman? Are You Italian? You're not a Latina. You're a "Latin American". You must identity yourself with your race like we all do. Latin/Latino/Latina refers only to Romance Languages and Roman Latin Culture and nothing else. You can only say that either that you are White/Mestiza/Black or whatever or that you're Mexican, Cuban...or as I said "Latin American. Latin/Latino/Latina can only be used when identifying ones culture and the Latin culture is the culture of the Romans/Italians.
1
You are "Latin American".
1
You mean to Love been "Latin American".
1
You want to learn what it means to be a Latin? Latino/Latina is incorrect when speaking or writing in English. In correct English is LATIN singular and LATINS plural, masculine and feminine. You have no idea of what Latin means. You can get a free Roman Latin education here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be NO HISPANIC, NO LATIN,NO LATINO,NO LATINA, no LATINX. It's not your "native heritage and Latin American doesn't mean Latino. A person from Latin America is a "Latin American. Blame your "Amigo" Frank del Olmo. He created all these identity problems for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=2s

Spain is Hispanic and Latin. (Latino is incorrect in an English conversation). The right way is LATIN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be
1
You got it all wrong Latino is incorrect in English. The right way in English is LATIN. These are the Latins: Italians, French, Romanians, Portuguese and Spaniards. Latin Americans: People from Mexico to Argentina to Puerto Rico to Cuba. (All Latin Americans-no Latino, no Latins, No Latinx). Hispanics: Spaniards and Portuguese because they come from HISPANIA which is the name given by the Romans to what is now Spain and Portugal. Stop the lies and educate yourselves. You mus use you race to identify yourselves like we all do and these are the Races: White, Black, Asian and Red-Skin Indian and not use "Latin or Latino a term invented by Mestizo Frank del Olmo to identify the "Ethnicity" of all the Spanish-speaking people. What del Olmo did was taking the term Latin America" and made it "Latino" because Latin America was too long without knowing the Roman meaning of Latin/Latino. Stop the lies and learn. Latin is not your "native" heritage. It's Roman, Italian and Latin European. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyAjG4hPckA&feature=youtu.be
1
You are not Latinos. You are Latin Americans with no Latin culture at all. These are the Latins (Latinos): Italians, French, Romanians, Portuguese and Spaniards. By the way Latino/Latin is not a Blood, not a DNA, not a Race, not Ethnicity, not a Food, not a Dance. Latino/Latin only refers to a Language and a culture, the Latin language spoken by the Romans and their Latin Culture. Stop the lies. http://www.latino-news.press
1
Granted but "Hispanics" use the term Latino only for themselves and to identify their Ethnicity and sometime their race when Latino/Latin is neither their race nor their ethnicity. Moreover "Hispanics" of the Americas are not culturally Latins. because since the time the Latin European colonizers, French, Spaniards and Portuguese, left in the following 200 years they developed their own culture which is not the same as the real Latin culture. This is why they behave their own way, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAFB7BZ7zjo&t=3s
1
@hiphipjorge5755 You mean "Latin American" families.
1
@MartaGarcia-qy7yc Don't blame the USA. Blame your Amigo named Frank del Olmo. Frank del Olmo years ago wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas under one name and he chose the term "Hispanic-Latino" to identify their "Ethnicity"!!! without knowing the meaning of Hispanic and Latino and where these terms came from. A person from Latin America is a "Latin American" and not a Latino and Latino refers to Roman Latin Languages and Roman Latin culture. Nothing to do with what the Latin European colonizers ,French, Portuguese and Spaniards, called Latin America. http://www.latino-news.press
1
@JennyRzezniczak No, it was not the United States Government that created the "Hispanic-Latino" label for the Spanish-speaking people. It was their "Amigo" named Frank del Olmo. Frank del Olmo wanted to unite his people under one name and he chose the "Hispanic-Latino" when he didn't even known what Hispanic-Latino" meant and where these terms came from.
1
Confusing? then go here and learn what Latin/ Latino means: http://www.latino-news.press
1
These people are neither Latins, nor Latinos, nor Latinas, nor Hispanics nor Latinx. They are Red-Skin Mestizos from Latin Latin America. They have to either use their RACE or just say Mexican, Cuban, etc., etc., or Latin American to explain where they come from and that's it. Too many lies about this Latino bull. It's nothing but their invention and they have no idea of what being a Latin really means. It means having inherited the linguistic and cultural identity of the Romans. This is what it means and not all of their lies.
1
You are neither Hispanic nor Latinos. You are Red-Skin Indians from "Latin America". http://mexica-movement.org
1
@buga4529 Then it has to be "Spanish People" because only saying only "Spanish" may refer to the "Spanish" language. Just an observation.
1
@pinheadlarry4538 You cannot make any demonym for "Latin American". A person coming or originating from Latin America is a "Latin American". The fact is that Latino (Which is incorrect in English-the correct way is LATIN) has already a 2000 year-old Roman meaning and cannot be changed. A Latin is a person who speaks Latin derived languages: Italian, French, Romanian, Portuguese and Spanish, comes from a country whose laws are based on Roman Laws, is culturally Roman Latin and whose religion if Roman Catholic. Latin American refers to a location, as described above, where people come from. The Latino/Latina terms can ONLY be used when in a discussion one has to demonstrate his or her culture and only when speaking in Italian, Romanian, Portuguese and Spanish and NOT when writing or talking in English. Blame Frank del Olmo. He wanted to unite all the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas under one label and he chose incorrectly the terms "Hispanic-Latino". He was wrong. He had no idea of what Hispanic and Latin meant and where these term come from. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_Union https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj2wotjd3nw&t=82s

@WestLosSalviLokz Origin? Everything Latin, be it the Latin people, the Latin language and the Latin Culture all comes from Italy. Latin is not the heritage of the people of Red-Skin people of Latin America. There was nothing Latin on this continent before the Latin European colonizers brought it her with their Latin-derived languages.. Please don't make up stories and educates yourselves and stop being professors if you have idea of what being a Latin means and where this great culture comes from.
1
@WestLosSalviLokz What are trying to do teach me like if I don't know? Latin means one thing and Latin American means another. Tell it to the so-called "Hispanics. No you didn't grow up with Latins . This is what Latinos means and Latinos is grammatically incorrect in an English conversation anyway. You grew up with "Latin Americans". Big difference. The term "Latino" instead of "Latin American" was invented by Mestizo Frank del Olmo who choose Latino (wrong in English) to identify the Ethnicity" of the Spanish-speaking people of the Americas. Jo Jo Most "Latin Americans" and not Latinos.
