It's all about saving face. That's why. Even if they did nothing wrong..they apologise to their fans. Fans are the ones with the power in the industry, not Akimoto or anyone else. The industry knows what fans want. Fans + idols = industry change i'm sure. :D

The av industry is massive in Japan, the govt and police won't track down and abolish it, so it still flourishes. Many net cafes have av videos to look at, so those are very abundant as well. Getting rid of those would lose a lot of male business. It would have a deep trickle effect in Japan.

Child daycare centers are sparse in big cities and parents have to schedule enrollment well before the baby is even born. It's that bad. I'm very surprised why Japan hasn't increased the number of daycare centers and kindergartens in the bigger cities. This is one big reason why fewer babies are being born in Japan. Costs are also another. However, some areas katsushika/shibamata in east Tokyo for example reduce the cost of raising a child up to a certain age range. My area in shibamata had many new parents and young mothers when I lived there 7yrs ago because of this.

Let's see..gaijing hunters hang out in places like roppongi etc. Flirt with only foreign guys etc. Use English over Japanese. Love to talk about their love of insert foreign culture here If you can't tell what a gaijin hunter is, you haven't spent much time in Japan. :D
3
Many foreign women that first move there, do the kawaii style (Cathy cat for example) I guess this is a way that foreign women try to fit in there.
3
@vivoslibertos You're leaving out the westoweebs :D Do you think nobita is a westoweeb?
3
Well you have the execs etc sleeping with members of AKB in hotels etc. You don't have to dig much to find out stuff like this. Most of the female idols are not allowed to date, while the male ones usually date more. Prime case of this was the girl that had to shave her head. Her bf at the time didn't really defend her she couldn't date..but he was allowed to Japan's idol industry is just as toxic as Korea.

Almost all of my Japanese friends still enjoy drinking beer and going to Izakaya. Of course, we're in our 30-40s so it's a normal thing for us. When I was in Japan 5yrs or so ago, you'd see many young people drinking. I haven't been there in a few years, so wouldn't see the change for myself. I love the alcohol in Japan, especially chu-hi and other flavored alcohol. Sometimes had beer, mostly when i'm with friends whisky sour for example

I have married female friends that are virgins, even after being married. Virgin married in women in Japan. I'm sure Nobita knows about this. :(

I've been bullied due to my last name, my big ears and feet as a kid. mostly ears I got bullied in several schools and where i lived as a kid. I eventually had enough and went apeshit on a bully, we became friends after. Other people stopped bullying me. Most bullies will stop if you stand up to them once/several times.
3
You know it's going to get bad when it's talked about on a drama/tv show. T.T

There was an article on the net awhile back showing that some ex yakuza guys became minor actors in Japan. Very interesting stuff.

Nice vid. I’m currently in china. Been here for 2.5 years and just not feeling it. I’m also writing a Momotaro remake manga story. Hope to publish in Tokyo. ^^
2
Kids keep it a secret until it just explodes...i guess telling people you are being bullied shames you. T.T They need to teach kids that it's OK to come out and say you're being bullied, maybe that will help things. You know dam sure something will get done if some high official's kid commits suicide due to bullying. very sad.

Many gyaru I know are single mothers that usually work in hostess bars. :( From what i've heard about, most gyaru don't date foreigners.
2
He dated a former akb singer. Cynic mentioned he saw him with a popular av idol recently. I heard he's one of the only foreigners to have dated one.
2
Japan also has a lot of girls in high school and some in junior high, that also do prostitution. Brand name good as well as money.
2
Hopefully that Simpkin guy will help chime in to aid these girls. He's Japan's male porn king.
2
You forgot mention Godzilla, Totoro and Kitty chan. :D
2
@Greenforrest7342 Not sure..but in recent years, there have been half members. :D
2
When I lived in Japan before, I'd see tent communities sometimes where homeless people would sleep.
2
@user-jn2ce6jh1w True...but do asian or hispanic lives matter too??
2
This is pretty wild. It’s also not uncommon for newly married couples to sleep in separate rooms or bed.
2
There are successful fat rappers who are successful businessmen. I agree with all but the don't want to be with a positive guy part. That's just strange. LOL
2
To a foreign man, Japanese women are their kryptonite lol I used to sometimes look for gaijin hunters, but after awhile there's no point. You're just another foreigner notch in their love life. This girl in the interview is very different than the avg gaijin hunter in Japan. Most girls do it for the enjoyment and thrill. This girl is just an escort in a way.
2
I went to visit Nikko a few months ago and amazingly there were only a few foreign tourists. Shame really, because Nikko is an awesome place to visit. It just happened to snow that day, making for a pretty sight for many taking photos of the famous bridge there. It's only a few hour trip from Tokyo.
2
This is not just a thing with Japan. Koreans, mostly women and girls, also get the double eye lid surgery done.
2
Dang....that long black haired girl with the white puppy sweater is ADORABLE!
2
Many Japanese girls and women have (sefure) or sex friends. This seems semi uncommon.
2
I wonder if he’s ever dated a foreigner before. :)
2
The only time i got stopped by police is to check my bike to see if i stole it. LOL As you know bikes need to be registered in Japan, so police can check the registered name/number of the owner. I had this happen a few times in my 7yrs in Japan. I dont know if it was racial profiling or just a random check.
2
I can understand her. :(. I got some criticism for my Momotaro remake manga story. She’s a human and words hurt deeply...We’re not immune to abuse.
2
@Sherrice I think he did in a different video. It's been a big issue in Japan for years now.
2
In China, it's a lot worse. Many girls that you see on their profiles will sometimes look nothing like that in person/reality. Many use beauty filters etc or tape and heavy make up to make a scary girl look into a cute girl. Once you see them in person, make you want to run away. At least in Japan, many girls somewhat resemble the girls you see in their profiles usually, unlike china.
2
@samuraijosh1595 You really need to learn how to read. I said some women choose to be single Yet you seem to think I said most women Huge difference there. :D
2
@samuraijosh1595 I lived in Japan, so my knowledge doesn't come from Western media, it comes from talking to Japanese friends, some of whom have rented a bf or gf. There are plenty of youtubers that show common/normal things about Japan and get the views.
2
@daniel_ding48 It's all good. :D People want to be stupid and ignorant is all. If you really like a culture, you don't give it some stupid name like weeb :P
2
So...now you will see the rise of Mamakatsu. Or sugar mommas. :D Thanks to Nobita, foreigners and Japanese women watching this video will apply to become sugarmommas in Jpn!
2
The girls that want to date foreigners pretty much show them off like accessories. Nothing wrong with dating a girl that wants to study or improve her English. Sometimes those types of relationships blossom into serious future relationships.
2
@XXPePeXX But these type of women are in many countries. It's not just a Japan thing. America has women that act like this as well. lol
2
Hello Mr. Nobita. Given Japan's situation currently with the low birth rate, less people having sex, population decline, increasing elderly population...etc. How would you encourage Japanese people to boost their population? *one proposed thought was bringing many foreigners into the country...but I think that Idea wasn't considered good to many..as it weakens pure Japanese blood*
2
@plzleavemealone9660 Pretty much. It has to go deeper in the process. Parents have to teach their kids. The meetings don’t really do anything and only for show, you’re right. It’s very hard for kids to say STOP, so they hold it in. The bullied ones end up committing suicide usually. Teachers can say anything they want, but unless it gets addressed by the higher ups and the bully’s parents, nothing will happen. Known issue but nothing is being done seriously to stop it. :(

The avg salary of an ALT in Japan is around 170,000-200,000 yen before tax. Salary as an English teacher hasn't increased since I lived there 7yrs ago. Most of the foreigners living Japan that teach English fall under this lvl of salary. The lvl of entitled or high earning foreigners in Japan are the minority, not the majority. I also know many Japanese that make a lot more than the avg foreigner.

I think gyaru are quite attractive :D
1
Some college students work part time jobs as temporary gfs. (Though guys do it too but less)
1
On the other side of the coin, has a father ever abducted the child away from the mother? If so...I wonder what the case % is of a positive outcome.
1
@davidanthony4960 :(( I am trying to find a japanese gf to get married to. I'm also in my early 40s lol I'm sure it can happen at any age i guess.
1
I think there was a minor ex leader that got married but the wife bailed after the kids were born. Some former yakuza now do acting in Japan. :)
1
There are girls that have superstar status that could use that to overcome and band together. Instead of building the courage to do something like this, they take the easy way out and commit suicide. Like that megastar idol in Korea, she had fans in the millions. You know darn well that if idols banded together in Japan to get things done, things would get done in the industry. Instead..they stay silent and compliant...and perform/collect their paychecks. A force of many = a force of change. Sadly that won't happen.
1
@bluemuppet6 thats the price for wanting to be famous. there are better contracts with different agencies, but they chose the one that limits their lives the most.
