  18. I'm on disability income for certain conditions in my country and they pay my rent for me as well as provide me money for food and supplies around $600-700 a month. After seeing the poor conditions of people in the US and the government refusing to help, it just makes me angry that the government has absolutely no interest in helping its people. It's disgusting.

The idea is that CEOs get paid a lot cause back in the day the head of companies before the days of modern corporations often personally oversaw everything so they were paid cause the job was really stressful, had long hours, and they were often swamped with responsibility. Nowadays they get paid equally as good if not better to do jack diddle and just reap in the rewards of their workers.

  39.    I looked through several sources and it seems like no one knows exactly where the phrase comes from but it did become popular in the 1960s in USA but the idea around the slogan would've had to been much older since Marx and Lenin both followed power to the people slogans even tho they didn't directly call it that. I believe the emancipation also mentions something about the power going to the people tho not in the direct phrase. So the idea is fairly old even tho the phrase does not seem to be as old.

I'm a European who's been to both Canada and America so I've seen all sides of this issue and between the 3 places from what I've seen Canada is much more tolerant of gays with Europe is second for tolerance and America is 4th out of the 3.   45. Where I live that's illegal. A landlord cannot evict someone because they feel like it. They have to appeal to the community court of community services to get a tenant evicted and give a valid reason. If they do that though they open themselves up to investigation on whether the rented space met proper housing standards. Tenants have more rights than landlords here.

  50.  @flash_flood_area  Canada has had no recent massive natural disasters nor has it hit south America more than usual except in Brazil with the Rainforests. Same in Europe and Asia. The evidence clearly shows natural disasters hit America many more times over than the rest of the world.
