Let's just be clear, it's the West that was trying to encircle Russia since 2014, by first taking Crimea from it, cutting it off from its only warmwater port, and bragging about turning the Baltic into a "NATO lake" that Russia would be unable to traverse freely. To accuse the Russians of being the ones trying to seize maritime control is the literal opposite of the truth. Same with America sailing up and down 100 miles off China's coast, arming what is internationally recognized as part of China, then claming China is the aggressor for pushing back. And the idea that Russia and China are the "long term game" players is a laughable lie, again, it's NATO that hasd spent the last 27 years slowly marching closer and closer to Russia's borders, it's America that has sought to form an alliance against China in East Asia. Neither of these countries were anti Western, they just refused to be subordinated by the globalists who control the West.
