  1. Straight away with the moralistic fallacies. NOBODY suggested making CHILD prostitution legal, and there's EVERY reason to suspect that legalising prostitution would REDUCE child prostitution. Please keep your moralistic, biblically inspired and  (ancient) patriarchal views of sexuality in the bronze age, and let women AND men use their bodies how they want.   5. I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I am opposed to ordering business owners how to operate their own businesses, except on safety grounds. But on the other hand, allowing each business to be as bigoted as they like would really lead to a dreadful world. Of course, the big thing at the moment is that people don't have a right not to be offended, and that being the case, if stores want to piss off their customers it's their business.

  35. The government's role is to facillitate a safe society in which it acts for the general wellbeing of the citizens. It is NOT to sit in imperious judgement over us all, dictating how we must live our lives. This issue is difficult because bad parenting makes bad kids makes worse society, but at least a couple of these cases do not appear to be down to bad parents. I do get concerned when so many parents' go to excuse is autism or ADHD, but I don't know what the right solution should be for these kids.

  37. A tragic loss, but this boy quite visibly had extremely severe health issues. Covid may have been the last one, but there were clearly many other nails in his coffin already. How many children with his challenges die in Britain every year and go unmentioned, but now every death is a "covid victim". I really resent this narrative.
