Humans are innately tribal and will find whatever excuse they can to "otherise" each other. Forcing a whole mixture of different races and cultures to live on top of one another might seem to work for a while, when times are good. But when the good times end, as they seem to be doing presently, it will inevitably lead to balkanisation when (as you say) we all compete for resources to benefit our own kind above others.

  34. I don't think the BBC produce entirely bad content. My local radio service in Coventry and Warwickshire is really good with familiar voices I've listened to for decades who are, for the most part, apolitical. Ironically local services are just the department they are about to cut. My issue with the BBC is the way they sneer at the majority of normal people with sensible conservative (small c) opinions and lean into "Far-Right" Derangement Syndrome. When the BBC talk about the far right, it's obvious they are talking about me and it's entirely repelled me from having anything to do with them.
