They are a problem yes, but the main issue is not 40k illegals but the million plus legals that arrive and overstay visas with no comeback and then ship their whole family over to suck up benefits from the public purse. Almost all of our population growth is legal immigration, which is why we need new houses built all the time.

As long as you speak English to me Magda I have no problem with you being here because - I'm going out on a limb - you're from a culture of Christian white people who, while different, aren't a million miles from the British. In contrast to an Eritrean tribesmen who has to be educated about how to use a public toilet hygienically or that sexually assaulting women is unacceptable in this country. I get a very different feeling when I buy groceries from my local Polish shop (I'm English) than I do when I pass through certain areas of my city... An English city for God's sake, in which mine is the only white face.

There's more to Dawkins than The God Delusion Read works like The Selfish Gene and The Ancestors Tale and you'll find he brilliantly conveys the science behind evolution for the layman and actually takes you on a fascinating journey.
