ββΒ @remoanersrknts6736Β
Lets get some facts straight here...
the free trade deal with the USA was negotiated for 8 years, BUT, the US were demanding, that "chloride chicken, hormon boosted beef, gen manipulated food (undeclared on top of that) should be allowed to come into the EUs SM, but even worst was, that the US was demanding, to allow so called "private courts", to "sort" US issues, like any US company could claim billions of β¬, in case the EU would change rules/laws etc, and that US company "would/might have losses of profit, even if that product didn't exist yet...THAT would have been a never ending "claiming for money all over the EU by any US company", THIS is why the EUs negotiators stopped all negotiations and said "thank you, but no".
If you Brits would like that sort of deal, you're very welcome... π
About Brazil: the EU are in negotiations about a "free trade deal" with Mercosur", BUT, again, those countries don't want to put "protection for their native people in that, nor protection of environment, labourship etc... therefor... time will show...
Since 2018 the EU is in negotiations about a free trade deal with Australia... still ongoing... in the meanwhile the free trade deal with NZ is signed.
Negotiations with trading partners are NEVER done in short time... only the British negotiators are doing so, simply because of economical desperation π
π
Greetings from the EU27 π

Well, half of my family are British, therefor it does bother me quite a lot...
It's obvious, that Brits are obsessed about either France, Germany and /or the EU or all of them...since Brexit...weirdly it never used to be an issue before Brexit...wonder why? π
What was missing in your responce, was the term "world beating" π
Btw, I doubt, that there aren't any other "richest" areas exist either within the EU/EFTA or other world wide...every country has its "richest" areas...but NO other EU27 member state has any cases of rickets nor scurvy...that's only the UKs issue...and last it had been like that were in the 1950s...
About the farmers = as sorry I feel for them, but partly they're a bit like the British Fishermen = voting against their own interests...
The farmers have their own organisations, and they vote for their chairmen... the German chairman is one of the largest landowner in Germany...therefor he is supporting/demanding those politics, where exactly those people like him benefit from the recent subsidiesing-programs = as more land/sqm, as more money one gets...independently how that farmer is working with that land..
Not to forget about those large supermarket chains, which are dictating the prices, the farmers get for their products...and last but not least...the customers...
always demanding the cheapest of the cheap..all three facts make up those demonstrations...
About the German economy = since 2023 Germany is the worlds third largest economy......and now what?
While the UK is loosing Β£ billions per year due to Brexit...
And opposit to the EUs economies, which are supporting each other via the EUs SM/EEA, the UK is "swimming" on its own in these times of ever growing economical blocs world wide...
Greetings
