It would be nice if more athletes weren't insufferable braggarts.

Is she really shocked though?
1
This is the first I am hearing about all of this. Aside from the dude being murdered.
1
There should be better mechanisms for dissolving the mayor and or council. Let alone simply holding them accountable. Could the council declare a state of emergency/bankruptcy and have another township or city step in and offer them 'aid' externally managing the distribution of funding and resources during that emergency, until the mayor is out of office?
1
PR is mostly misleading people anyway, so I can't feel too bad.
1
No, but we should not give stupid arguments more creedence than is warranted.
1
She is hanging on pretty hard but her steps are pretty sure. Probably drunk eniugh to make decisions she may regret later but not drunk enough not to be able to make decisions.
1
It's always a hard fight to stop people from discarding ethics when they're feeling vengeful.
1
Tucker Carlson was garbage and a liability. Don't get me wrong he's not always bad, but he is willing to spread outright falsehoods knowingly and no news program should be like that. No problem should present itself like news but then in court say, "oh but we aren't actually news". He isn't the Onion, people take him at his word.
1
"It can be known as a city who has done something that it has never done before." ...So basically every city ever that has ever done anything?
1
"We believe a convicted murderer trial to be a suitable representation of unjustified litigation elsewhere" Does that mean those other litigations ARE actually justified because this one was feigning Innocence? Because by their actions it sounds like CNN films is actually promoting the idea that pay discrimination suits in general aren't founded in reality.
1
No they can seek remedy for breech of contract, but they cannot sieze property. ESPECIALLY of an unsigned individual. It's pretty much criminal theft at that point right? Besides, I don't know about there, but here the discovery was by unlawful means so I think it is inadmissible in court anyway.
1
She just seems so disingenuous and the typical absurdly dramatic person (slight nudge: You're hurting my fetus!) I mean, she only started crying once someone was there... (seemingly anyway) But the refusal to reset is also suspicious. I don't know man🤷♀️
1
What did they do with the homeless if the shelter is filled with migrants?
1
This assumption that anyone of African descent must be assumed to be some kind of slave or victim of slavery. Is ridiculous, it's basically saying a massive groupmof people cannot be anything but slaves. Which is either idiocy or appalling.
1
If I were the judge in her drunk driving case, ai would use this to inform sentencing.
1
I thought it was 'amber' just because of the colour. Red, amber... etc.
1
Can they get him for conspiracy or accessory to corruption?
1
i worry that would become the new precedent not legally yet but if the societal perspective is as such the legality will follow. Enshrining Men as second class citizens under the law.
1
They took down John A. MacDonald in Canada as well, it is ridiculous. They know about it because both the good and the bad is taught. Objective history, not revisionist (in this case). But these people don't just want to destroy art, they effectively want to pretend these people didn't happen. Don't show them, don't talk about them, don't teach them.
1
So... It sounds like they may have gonve overboard and it is now too difficult to lower a salary.
1
It wasn't even an apology it was an opportunity to try to justify herself.
1
There was also that similar 'van life' case in Canada, one had been found dead the van and the partner were missing. They later found the van and later found the partner's body after a few other remote attacks on the highway. But in that case, if I recall correctly it was a string of murders by a random party.
1
Why are there separate leagues for poker??
1
Ooof, Is ESPN the one owned by Disney? Has Disney done the same? lol
1
So, just hypothetically if I had just been trans, I could have been a marketing director for Bud light. Because there is no logic beyond self-serving interest in their choice of marketing campaign. Just like the fool they put in charge of that Gillette ad. It's not a well reasoned advertisement, it's a personal statement. Even if you sell some beer for slapping a 'protected class' on a can. That's such a shallow and imitatable approach. People may buy it to film themselves on tiktok, for 'competitive allyship' or whatever it is called, but sales have to be near zero for that to help.
1
Wait Shepard Smith is back?
1
Move to Thorton get the 'free stuff' (that they are paying for with township money) then move out of Thorton. 🤦♀️ She's literally thinking she can buy the public off with the money she is effectively stealing from those same people.
1
I mean, the abortion ones are in bad taste (some more than others) but aren't really relevant to the topic of racism, just general character.
1
I do appreciate they are making progress. But, I still don't think politicians should be able to prevent actions by not showing up, or by 'locking people out' (like if Henyard delayed a resolution by refusing to allow the others to meet).
1
This lady speaking about wanting people to come to NewYork and Chicago is negligent. If they could house that number of people sure. But, if people are going to be in tents you are inviting them to die. To my knowledge It does still get below 0C there.
1
OK reality check Nate. That stat, the past 4 years? What happened in 2020? We need pre-pandemic data. Also they seem to skip mentioning real numbers from either border that way they can sell a sentiment not facts. (Not that it isn't an issue, merely criticizing the perceived scale vs actual scale. You always want an issue to be dealt with adequately, no more, no less. Aggrivating the issue or wasting money to make a show of fixing something while doing nothing just for political points, only makes the country worse.)
1
Regardless Don was not having an interview in good faith.
1
I have an unshakable feeling this (predatory behaviour) almost happened to me. If so, only happenstance and relative poverty likely saved me.
1
It is definitely important that it is "unofficial"
1
Hell people cross international borders to go to work.
1
Do we know it's her an not a software mask over someone else?
1
TYT still trumpeting the narrative that no riotous behavior was happening, only protests. This is reality there can be both protests and riots and it doesn't have to be the fault of the people intending to protest peacefully. But it also doesn't mean things can't get out of hand or that bad actors won't take advantage of the situations to create mayhem, steal, and harm others. But no, full steam ahead from the train of BS coming out of TYT.
1
You wouldn't believe the people who will say, "it's never been an issue". It's an issue now, don't do it. *oooh, the mother said, "we have a lot of issues with the parking around here". Contradicting earlier protests. But if she's protesting this much? It is suspicious. "I'm not on the grass" Put now that you point it out you are parked on the curb. Is this common post pandemic and the 'down with the police' stuff post George Floyd?
1
YT holds everyone else accountable for things they shouldn't even be allowed to punish people for. But big YT channels literally doing illegal things and harassing people... No.
1
I feel like people say they get it wrong every single time lol
1
I mean... this all sounds little thin based on heresay of 'reports' alone. Do we even know this DNA was collected? where are the test results? Seems like very low factually reporting we have all come to expect from US News. But it's it possible? We have a mayor who allegedly committed burglary, and one who effectively held their city hostage. What there seems to be the most evidence for, is that one or both of her husbands were married so they could get in. Their familial relationship is what I have seen very little on, smoke & mirrors.
1
I assume this isn't the case but the WSJ journalist looks/sounds like a child. ...They aren't hiring kids right?
1
We really need to stop with the stereotypes and labeling. It's ridiculous and inhibiting progress. Attack the specific actions not throwing insults back and forth.
1
*should have taught you
1
But some people also like the name dwarf, because of their high regard in fantasy. So now they are going to tell eachother what they can and can't be called? Talk about holding opposing positions based on the same arguments...
1
This 'bureau' sounds a lot like the kind of thing they used to do in Germany to do indoctrination and conduct despicable actions against those they deemed unsuitable.
1
WTF is wrong with these people. It just goes to show, just because they were elected doesn't mean they were qualified or people of integrity.
1
Individuals playing the race card tend to warrant more scrutiny not less. Don't trust people who try to use a shared trait to elicit trust or goodwill. First check why they aren't leading with a functional reason. This woman is like listening to a conman who wants you to give him money for the opportunity of a lifetime.
1
FYI you would then go to jail, don't do that.
