Yes united we can stop conflict. ...If the UN actually did its job and used an independent peace keeping force to maintain peace and ensure its universal human rights are protected.
1
"concerning" should never be the test some people are gravely concerned by things that are irrelevant to a rational person. The issue is the demonstrable and physical expansionary actions they have already taken.

That American lady is clearly unable to look objectively at the situation. Sticking to the UD media narrative and inserting 'fringe' everywhere. A lot of the Republican goals are not widely held by the general American public. But the idea that opponents of CRT etc. are 'fringe', is merely not reality. Strong CRT proponents are a minority, but most others feel obliged to go along with it given the pervasive mob mentality lingering from 2020. I agree with the need for policies of substance, but the negative effects of this divisive extremism needs to be dealt with. So if someone runs on "No more of this divisive BS" they will win. Failing that, running against the prevailing points causing issue like those in schools. Will likely garner a fair bit of success. But it's the US, polarity is the only game in town.
1
Look at all those talking points the Americans gifted to the world. 'oh they're all paid protesters, foreign funding, etc., etc.' 🤦♀️
1
Ah yes, Foot Loose.
1
This is why the UN needs to act as a peacekeeping force to maintain borders. To PREVENT calamity, not merely move slowly and eventually penalize war crimes after they happen.
1
Do not be fooled. The Chinese official just used a result of the war (Nato expansion) as a justification for initiating it. Besides Russia is not the Soviet Union anymore. This is not a West vs East. This is the Russian government (a former ally) VS It's own ally, Ukraine.
1
That sounds like a surrender.
1
But it does a great pop & lock
1
If the goal is peace, we cannot simply tolerate aggressive armed conflict.
1
So tell me, iz germany za best? "Do you want the EU/NATO to collapse?"
1
Then the government will be liable.
1
Only if they know.
1
Probably the first military target Russia has actually bombarded. (Too busy murdering civilians.😡)
1
I never understood why knowing the risks of China why the west didn't prioritize investing in India instead (You know 20-30 years ago). I would have.
1
Probably.
1
China: "No"
1
I see they finished building more... Or loaded a recent order from China.
1
We are all AI.
1
History shows the best way to keep combatants from fighting is to get them married with families.
1
It's not a spy balloon! ...We just want the remains for ...reasons.
1
Just tell Turkey it can join the EU if it stops being confrontational.
1
Well, then the ships get an escort from their country of origin. Then Russia either backs off, or fires on a foreign war ship dragging them into the war
1
Unless otherwise join with it.
1
"I didn't say Abe Lincoln. I said, 'Hey! Blinken!"
1
Winter is coming
1
To be fair the same should be said of the US, always sticking it's pretentious nose in.
1
We need to make this end.
1
It also caused issues for Ukrainian assault positions and will inhibit future assault in those areas. Plus sets up a pretense to destroy the nuclear power plant if russia wants to. Plus the cost of infrastructure damage, food production... all of which Ukraine will suffer. It may have been Ukraine, but I doubt it. They would have evacuated people in the night and withdrew their amassed forces. On the other hand, Russia doesn't seem to have much regard for its forces.
1
I thought they did condemn it initially, but regardless condemnation is just words and they can (have, will) say one thing but do another.
1
*too ignorant and obstinate to realize it.
1
The strategic value is demoralization and an attack at the foundation of the county. It's people. The world has demonstrated the UN has failed, and they have failed to curtail tyranny and terror attacks by its member nations. How long will we sit and tolerate basic human rights violations, and violations of long standing war conventions. After they detonate the nuclear powerplant? After all the harm is done?
1
One, just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a troll, or a bot, or a shill, etc. Two, yes everyone in the south Pacific should be leery of Chinese expansionism.
1
With no probing from Russia I am sure
1
There is no strategic value in Ukraine destroying its nuclear plant. Re-taking it, yes. But imagine contaminating your own country for decades to come. Russia however would love for a reason to claim victory or scrub the war and blame it on Ukraine.
1
Threat implies they don't already exert influence, we know that ship has long sailed making it a false question.
1
While I am disgusted by Russia shelling civilian targets (and more disgusted by them shelling even their own towns) every shell used in Russia is at least not used in Ukraine.
1
They don't even have to shoot it down, it's their airspace they are well within their rights to snag it and bring it back down, then investigate.
1
Hard to bomb the city when doing so might trigger a global response.
1
Humans can adapt to anything, but it doesn't mean they should. This needs to stop.
1
If you regulate AI speech you regulate all speech. Imagine having an AI teacher who can't teach objectively because of language programming. Or a news AI that can't criticize an action by China because the key words are also found in pro Chinese content.
1
It's all about who is complaining.
1
They hired an activist lady and this is her campaign.
1
Yes, "training exercises"
1
We all know, Russia has many warships.
1
...Those are bith the same side. Unless she were asking China to stop the war in a way that benefits Russia not Ukraine. You mean if stopping the war is the goal she shouldn't send weapons. But if the goal is for Russia to back down, they are entirely consistent. If China wanted the war to end (also without regard for lives or Ukrainian sovereignty) they would also stop all support. Instead both support their respective favourite and pressure the other to facilitate that victory.
1
Russia seems to forget they are at war. Though I do still think the loss of civilians is unacceptable, there are casualties in war. This differs substantially from Russia bombarding populated cities without regard for civilian lives.
1
riiight.
1
Well you mostly need drones and tech anyway (apparently). Oh and I know exactly how to get recruits... メカ

Not all jobs can be done by software. As is always the case, where one job ends dozens more appear Or we can all retire and earn money from our AI employees.
