LOL cope - the Ukrainians can't even defend Donbas. They tried Crimea last year and Russia is much stronger since then
1
Yeah people like him are why Russia invaded Ukraine.
1
Yep Finland joining NATO was geopolitical idiocy
1
@Konstantin2004 Stalin let Finland off easy only because the Red Army was still fighting Germany. Otherwise, the Red Army would have taken Finland easily. It was always a minor front for the Soviets, they were concerned only to keep a buffer around Leningrad and protect the northern sea route. There's nothing more ridiculous than Finns boasting about how they could fight the Russians. They just don't have the population. Besides which the Russian army now is huge, experienced and battle hardened from two years of war. Compared to Ukraine, Finland would be a quick snack for a few months.
1
@Konstantin2004 Actual casualty figures are disputed but sure Soviet casualties in the Winter War were higher. Doesn't change the result though does it - a Soviet victory. In the continuation war, casualties were probably pretty similar. Again another Soviet victory. US casualties in Vietnam and Afghanistan were lower than those of their enemies, didn't prevent US defeats. Finland after WWII wasn't laughing about higher Soviet casualties they thought the war a huge national tragedy which left so many dead and their country smaller.
1
@yurisonovab3892 US military budget is ten times the Russian military budget and Russia is still outproducing the US in artillery ammo, missiles and nuclear weapons. Where does that huge US spending go?
1
@yurisonovab3892 Still losing? Are you following the same war as me? I watch daily updates from the channels Military Summary Weeb Union, DPA war and Theti Mapping, it's been obvious Ukraine has been losing for the past year.
1
@gagamba9198 m So? Most generals are basically politicians. The guys who write books on military affairs tend to be colonels (like Dan Davis and McGreagor) they don't go further because they're not interested in boot licking to get higher up the ladder.
1
Yes, America's proxy war against Russia has destroyed his country's economy, the US directly attacked Nordstream2 and still Scholz is too cowardly to stand up to teh USA
1
Zeihan is the king of illogical, baseless assertions, this is just one of many.
1
The rest of the world outside of the West looks at Nordstream and listens to the Western narrative on Ukraine and becomes ever more sympathetic to the Russian/Chinese point of view. If you're advocating terrorism, Russia can also cut subsea cables and blow up pipelines and deny it was them, just as unconvincingly as the Americans can.
1
Russia graduates more engineers than the USA even though the population is less than half the USA's. However, Russian education is very weak at gender studies and critical race theory.
1
@ChucksSEADnDEAD A lot of Siberia has a really low population density, they rely more on railways than roads. It's not like US infrastructure is perfect either. If their weapons keep failing like you claim, they'd have lost the war by now. It's Ukrainians who are getting the shit kicked out of them
1
Not so much anymore, was definitely true under Yeltsin
1
@davidhimmelsbach557 You say I'm totally wrong but it's a fact that the USA never ratified the treaty we're talking about. You don't even try to address this verifiable fact. BTW same thing happened with the League of Nations back in the day. President Wilson pushed it but Congress never ratified it. So the whole project was a waste of time.
1
Western propaganda delivery is vastly better. Much better media and internet control
1
@bretseattle There are better options like the Duran
1
@agustintarzian9450 They didn't expect to need air defence in Syria since ISIS are not known for the strength of their air force. On their march from Rostov towards Moscow they shot down anything which came near them for very little loss of their own. You can guarantee that if there's any sign of confrontation in Africa between Wagner and the French military, the Wagner are going to be using S300s at the minimum, more likely they'll have S400s available.
1
The US has military bases in Syria which 100% of the world recognises as Syrian territory. And the Syrians want the US out.
1
@davidheidt8548 If that's the funniest you can come up with, don't give up the day job
1
Productive people have fewer.
1
The Russians already do this. They station a couple of Wagner guys on their oil tankers and the Somalis know to keep the hell away from them.
1
@crescent4996 Western European countries have already been invaded without a fight. Even to criticise the invasion invites arrest and imprisonment. Why would any sane person fight for governments which want to protect Ukraine's borders but not their own?
1
"relatively weak and unprepared Ukraine", the second biggest military in NATO, armed by almost all of NATO? Or do you mean a different Ukraine?
1
Sure, he pumps out CIA propaganda. He worked for stratfor which is a CIA front organization
1
He can't pronounce Russian names either, not even close, nothing says I'm a geopolitical expert like butchering the names of major leaders.
1
@kerryparffrey9993 I'd rather get serious analysis but ok whatever works for you
1
He doesn't, he just makes it up. He can't even get names of important people right.
1
LOL Al Capone would be proud
1
Deliberately leaving out the elephant in the room - hugely improved relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Because that fact doesn't suit the neocon agenda.
1
More recently, the US destroyed a dam in Syria too.
1
The Russians have already destroyed the bridgehead
1
Zero evidence the Russians did it. Zeihan has blamed the Russians before for things it turned out the Ukrainians did.
1
@Rozerand Romania just banned the most popular politician by far from running in an election. All over Europe, people are being arrested over free speech violations. In Britain you're more than ten times more likely per capita to be prosecuted for social media posts than in Russia. All of these are facts. if you're still talking about the free world, you're decades out of date.
1
@GSicKz What's your evidence the Russians are losing thousands of men? Mediazona tracked 50,000 dead Russians in the whole war including convicts. Losses this year have really dropped off. Following the fighting from mapping channels like Weeb Union, DPA and Military Summary, it's looking very one sided. The Russians locate Ukrainian positions and wipe them out with FABS. The Ukrainians have no way to answer that.
1
@glennbateman4483 Yeah the Russian military is so poor it's defeating a large country armed and financed by all of NATO.
1
@truthseeker6116 Nothing dumber than a guy who calls himself truth seeker who laps up propaganda like a kitten laps up milk.
1
@jonlittle5032 Jeez the comments on Zeihan's channel are like 5 year old level. Ok genius, believe what you want. Ukraine is going to stomp all over Russia and the tooth fairy will bring you a special prize.
1
@GeekDad74x You're telling me what the media narrative is, not what's actually happening in Ukraine. You don't need to take my word for it. Check out what the guys who won Desert Storm say about it - Dan Davis and Scot McGregor. Even better Swiss intel officer Jacques Baud and Austrian Col. Reisner. These aren't "Russian bots", they're retired senior Western officers, the guys who write books, not the politicians officers who become generals like that embarrassment Ben Hodges. Actually Reisner is still serving. There is such a thing as Russian disinformation of course and it's interesting to know what they want their population to think but quite seriously, there's nothing they say as ridiculous as the stuff Zeihan comes up with.
1
@longforgotten4823 LOL cope harder. The Russians withdrew so suddenly the Ukrainians thought it was a trap for a couple of days afterwards
1
"moral stance" = followed orders from Washington. BTW Are you still claiming the Russians blew up their own pipeline Zeihan?
1
He just said the war is not going well for Russia - as Ukraine is on the brink of collapse.. He's a joke.
1
Don't you realise the US has been at war for almost every day over the past decades somewhere in the world? And most Americans have never heard of many of the places American soldiers are killing people.
1
Ground is definitely dry enough for tracked vehicles.
1
@stephenderry9488 (Almost) all governments are ultimately accountable to their citizens even if they're not formally democracies. And the Arab street will never forgive Israel for the genocide happening now. Middle Eastern leaders can't ignore that. Also growing BRICS power and thawing Saudi-Iranian relations mean Israel has less space for divide and conquer.
1
He butchers Russian so comically it's only fair he butchers French as well.
1
Except it's not actually true, it's just a narrative from Peter Zeihan. I mean ask yourself do you seriously believe even if the Russians took over all of Ukraine, they'll continue on to Berlin and Paris? Peter Zeihan is a neocon propagandist, he talks very confidently but where's the actual evidence?
1
This whole cannel is wishful thinking. Zeihan is basically a neocon wishful thinking merchant.
1
@maxpower3990 A lot of assumptions there if you're gambling with the survival of the world. Since the West keeps escalating, it's obviously in Russia's interest to show they're serious about a red line. A Russian strike at say a Polish airbase - what then? Do you seriously believe the USA wants a war with Russia? No. So what's NATO going to do? In a game of chicken where everyone dies if nobody chickens out, escalation is the dumbest choice by far.
1
@albertwesker828 S500 is better :)
