Maybe Corn Republic should be the US nickname.
3
In what way?
3
Yeah and I think you would find certain fertiliser or other chemicals and compounds used in farming like trace elements will come from China. Farmers are going to love Trump this time. Last time they weren't hit with tariffs on their business, this time they will be.
3
You looking forward to tariffs on your countries goods. Each to their own i suppose.
3
In simple terms it's legalised gambling that some rich people are profiting off. Trump was correct previously when he said that bitcoin is for money laundering and drug cartels or whatever he exactly said.
3
So you going to blame China for American antivaxxers? How did you come to this conclusion?
3
So you going to blame China because Americans are antivaxxers. Please explain the logic to me.
3
Yeah but subsidies aren't necessary. Abruptly cutting them isn't a good idea , phasing them out over a 10 year period or so would make sense.
3
That's not the problem , it's on the other side, has Biden maintained his base and will they vote?
3
@ you need mental healthcare.
3
They require loyal police and military though and preferably a few judges in their pocket.
3
Lots of MAGA in the comments apparently liking what they see. You people are nuts but hey not my country thank goodness.
3
That's great.
3
Boy the US media is bad when a leftie channel like this one doesn't push back on anything an Israeli representative says.
3
You can't even troll properly, your other comment on this same video indicates you are MAGA.

@JB-lp9xr While you are correct the rural population actually receives cash mostly in the form of agricultural subsidies not services. Under Trump previously those subsidies were increased and that's likely to occur again when Trump launches his trade war against the entire world. Not sure if he will do that but I do think he wants to.
2
Sorry not everyone bows down to your dear leader.
2
Jasmine Crockett is a great young lady (it's a relative term , I am 51), cherish her. I am Australian but I can see talent and her along with AOC etc. should be your future leadership.
2
@JCTiggs1 Everyone who has successfully finished primary school maths knows that cuts in spending aren't going to balance the US budget without tax increases on corporations and most likely blocking loopholes and crazy deductions in corporate taxes allowing many profitable companies to pay no tax.
2
@mistercohaagen I'm Australian so I don't have any strong opinions on the matter other than Trump will stuff it up. I was in the military a long time ago and nobody would stop volunteers doing that job. Maybe in some units there might be peer pressure not to do it, that's as far as it will go. If anyone tries to stop them from the military they would be looking at charges so it's not going to happen. Civilians might protest and disrupt things and if that happens I guess we will see how it goes. The military personnel probably will only be able to do certain jobs like checkpoints for example and ICE has to do any arrests etc. There's a lot of legal issues when military personnel are used.
2
Trump will likely pardon them all the day before he leaves office. If for some reason his term is cut short JD Vance will do the same.
2
As an Aussie there's a bit of irony here, an Aussie PM would likely have about 2 local cops to protect him or her.
2
In the environment somewhere , either remaining in tact for long periods like anthrax for example or being carried by some type of animal.
2
Even if done it's only half way there. Need to nationalise most hospitals and stop paying non market rates for pharmaceuticals where they currently pay well above free market rates. It's not going to happen.
2
@SoloAuxz You will pay more in taxes from tariffs but same in income taxes, that money required for whatever will be put on the government tab , raising the debt.
2
Many did enter legally, this isn't about method of entry.
2
No it wouldn't because a child born to a citizen automatically becomes a citizen, this is standard around the world in countries like my own Australia that doesn't have birthright citizenship. We used to effectively have birth right citizenship but we changed the law. The US is different because it's not under a regular law but under the constitution and therefore difficult to change.
2
Lots of disgusting comments so far. Americans your MAGA friends are gleeful about California burning.
2
The opposite of liberalism is authoritarian. Are you proud to be supporting authoritarianism? Do you love Putin and Xi who are successful authoritarians?
2
Or Zeteo
2
Trump's plans will increase debt, not sure why you think differently. Can you not remember Trump's last term and how it raised the debt as a proportion of GDP more than any other time in US history outside of war time?
2
You must be rich then, good for you.
2
If anyone can be bothered using Google the 4 states with the highest number of illegal immigrants are the four big states of New York, California, Texas and Florida. There's a higher concentration in Florida and Texas because those states population added together is less than California plus New York and both red and blue states in this case have a similar number of illegal immigrants when added together.
2
I had a life changing experience yesterday, I smuggled 200 Mexican eggs into the US. I was able to pay off my Australian mortgage with some left over for investment.
2
He doesn't believe they are corrupt, he only believes they can make mistakes in good faith.
2
It's an interesting plan, cut government services for the less well off and tax them more meanwhile cut taxes on the wealthy and corporations and run up government debt quickly. The fact about a third of eligible voters consider this a great plan is amazing.
2
Those issues are unrelated. A large amount of homelessness in any wealthy country is people with mental health and or addiction problems. So offering free healthcare would help to some extent in the US. Free healthcare however needs to be run properly and cost effectively. The Republicans and Democrats are against this idea for now and in that context $40 Billion doesn't go very far.
2
I have never heard Trump apologise. It's just not a thing.
2
For certain goods yes but for certain goods the US and Canada are stuck with each other, especially steel, aluminium and oil ( due to current infrastructure). It's like Australia and China with iron ore, our trade in that product is around 85% of Australian export of that product and about 60% of China's import of that product. Of course over a 10 year period countries might be able to change such arrangements but it's not like finished goods or agricultural products where it's just a matter of changing a shipping destination.
2
@neutrino78x the state might be blue but the voters in agricultural areas regardless of state voted red.
2
They actually do, the reason for eggs being the most expensive in the world in the US is actually the same reason healthcare costs are the highest in the world. Pro price gouging governments of both major US parties is the reason.
2
They might actually move more production there because exports can still exist. With the US when Trump starts tariffing the entire world the US will be isolated.
2
That's not the issue. Only in the US do they have these time wasting activities and it achieves nothing. The US has the lowest life expectancy of a high income country. Clearly your observation of what the problem is is incorrect. Choosing ministers from the pool of elected representatives is the standard way it works outside of the US and it seems to work better than one person the president choosing who ever they want.
2
Not for a while, wait until every country has tariffs on it and then beef costs will rise putting up the price of a US made Whopper. However Burger King could offer a pork choice to keep prices low.
2
Who has been charged with crimes relating to USAID? Obviously you know so let others know.
2
It's nothing to do with trying to balance a budget. Keeping taxes low for billionaires isn't exactly going to improve anything. Simple math.
2
@chilkat_river actually it would likely be the opposite. Returning middle class people will benefit those countries. You have to realise in many cases skilled workers leave poor countries to go and do unskilled jobs in the US because they are illegal and or qualifications not recognised.
2
Your economy is fine, the problem is wealth distribution and a low federal minimum wage. I assure billionaires are happy with their current situation, however many aren't keen on a trade war but keeping quiet about it.
2
The Chinese tariffs are cleverly designed not to affect the Chinese people. They might be a dictatorship but they also believe in freetrade more so than the US does under Trump. There's also the non tariff measures they will quietly take. Because of the way the Chinese system works they can just encourage importers to source agricultural goods in particular from other countries. China has free trade agreements with ASEAN, South Korea , Australia, New Zealand and a few Latin American countries and Pakistan. The Trucks and machinery tariffs against the US do no harm to China in almost all cases similar high quality products can be purchased from Japan and i would bet that China has kept any specialised equipment than can only be purchased in the US off the list.
2
Well at an estimated $88,000 per head it will cost a lot. Trump isn't going raise taxes for it however, it will be debt funded. His tax increases will only be on imported goods affecting the poor mostly.
