I don't think you can put a time on it, depends if and when tariffs come into effect increasing the price of everything including some food items.
2
Americans will likely be more affected than Canadians. Of course Canadian businesses will suffer but the retaliatory tariffs are designed not to hurt citizens, things like alcohol doesn't need to come from the US and nobody harmed. Same with some food items they can either be manufactured in Canadian or imported from Mexico, getting the supply chains working to avoid the US on such items might take a while but probably not a long time. Canada and Mexico also have to send freight by ship because trucking through the US might get blocked.
2
There's literally half a dozen clips on the matter on this YouTube channel. Do you think they are only allowed to report on that until you give them permission to report on something else?
2
@ChrisWhite-et3xb but on that basis Jesus was woke. I am in no way religious but I have nothing against Jesus or his teachings, it's unfortunate you do.
2
Trump's plan is objectively worse than what happened in UK. They managed to stuff things up without having a trade war.
2
I think no, they already believed they were innocent, nothing will change that thinking in the short term.
2
Walmart is an interesting case. They might be able to maintain profits from what will be a smaller pie by gaining customers from higher cost retailers. Retailers overall will suffer because people's after tax spending ability is reduced because of tariffs.
2
You think tanking the North American economy is a good thing. Well I guess you will reap what you sow unless you are rich.
2
Maybe because they suggesting things like eliminating the FBI. So not a defund the police policy but an eliminate the federal police policy.

He got votes from probably 32% of people eligible to vote, not even a third, that's certainly not overwhelming. However it can be said that 36% of people eligible to vote but didn't accept Trump's plan as they were not willing to vote against it. Given the number of people not voting almost any state could actually be flipped if turnout was higher from the losing party. I truly don't understand why Americans are all angry about their situation and over one third won't do anything about it.
2
That's extraordinarily ridiculous.
1
Definitely not other wise she would go quietly not a public 8 page letter.
1
Oh another scammer, hello there.
1
@randythompson6494 at least 2 I think, Canada and Mexico.
1
Bitcoin's main purposes are money laundering and scamming. It's value is based on it being used for such purposes and speculative gambling.
1
Actually a minority of voters thought that. I think the biggest group was actually or if not extremely close to the voters who think both are just as good/bad.
1
They don't have power to do anything but shout from the sidelines. Whether you like it or not the US public voted for this.
1
9 years is a pretty big sentence even if it gets cut in half. This wasn't for a crime she gained advantage monetarily or otherwise, she did it for her king.
1
One might ask the question would Zuckerberg or Musk or Bezos cooperate with Trump. Why do Americans fear an internet company that mostly just puts out personal videos. The US has a history of and continues to interfere in other countries, now China is doing the same. As a non Chinese or American I don't trust either of you.
1
X is a platform that censors contributors by using an algorithm. It's free speech for Musk that pushes his posts to the top of everyone else's.
1
You never heard of deficit spending, maybe you should look it up. Trump is the king of deficit spending.
1
They're not going to anyway, this is just to stir people up like Trump does. All that some Democrats have said is they aren't going to assist the Feds, whereas a state like Texas will.
1
Yes they are, Trump and Musk are dictators.
1
It could be but knowing Trump it could also be another reason he hasn't told us yet.
1
People like a mixed capitalist socialist system. This is the system in place in every wealthy country on the planet.
1
That's not true. But let's say average cost of an employee is $100,000 , cutting 1 million employees is only $100 Billion. Deficit's running at about $2 Trillion per year it won't help much.
1
American taxpayer do you enjoy your expensive and dangerous fireworks? Time for a $1 trillion dollar trip to Mars maybe?
1
Nah, many billionaires will become poorer as in profits will go down. If you're involved in export or import or retail it's going to be really hard to maintain profits from a smaller pie.
1
Unfortunately people voted for this or didn't care or bother to vote by a large majority. Collectively you got what you voted for because Trump wasn't secretive about what he was going to do.
1
There's 2 million military personnel in the US. I am sure could get 100,000 to volunteer to such a deployment no problems. Best to use volunteers so they will be more enthusiastic.
1
Big corporations will be paying for it by lending money to the government. There's no actual plan after that.
1
So someone crossing a border causes Americans to become antivaxxers. That's interesting please explain the cause and effect.
1
The only thing we can say without certainty is the helicopter pilot was likely to blame and was likely in the military. The reason i say likely to blame is a helicopter should never be in an aeroplane's flight path and the type of helicopter reported was a military one.
1
More crime, more homelessness and riots on the streets. How does this excite you unless you are Russian or Chinese?
1
Bill Gates is the nemesis of Elon Musk. One is probably the largest charitable donor in the world and the other is Scrooge even going as far as taking money which isn't his off the most vulnerable.
1
@vforwombat9915 that's not disqualifying unless he was convicted and he wasn't. I think he is probably a terrible choice , what me or you might think is irrelevant though. I think Trump was a terrible choice but he is now the president.
1
@rebeccagallagher3306 I know it's a part of your system however whether someone is suitable is not what they actually vote on. They vote on whether or not they want that person in the job, a personal opinion. The reasons for not voting for someone could be personal reasons or quite often they don't like the character of that person. It's never due to lack of experience or actual qualifications. Everyone nominated will meet the actual reasonable qualifications standard. Your personal reasons for not liking Trump's picks are valid and I actually agree with. However making government dysfunctional and having time wasting processes doesn't help anyone. The US is extremely unusual as a democracy having ministers being chosen outside of elected officials. In a parliamentary system the governing party simply picks it's ministers from the members of parliament and it takes a few hours for the PM to decide and then it's done. This doesn't lead to any problems.
1
You must be rich otherwise you are a strange person waiting to see the wealthy get major tax cuts when you will be taxed more.
1
That's one thing that in theory will get cheaper, China was main buyer of stock feed so now the US would have excess. It's only temporary though, next season less crops planted most likely.
1
Well that's not what they are doing. Running up deficits to fund billionaires tax cuts and sacking IRS workers, meanwhile increasing taxes on low and middle income people. Does that sound efficient to you?
1
He'll exempt anything he is selling.
1
@Civilizashum I didn't claim Australia is perfect, only that it compares well to the US.
1
Trump has told you, Trump's plan is to split Ukraine with the US and Russia sharing the spoils. He wasn't secretive about it.
1
Trickle down apparently.
1
They are not mutually exclusive.
1
Then you are a fool because he isn't going to do that, his stated plan is to blow everything up and only have loyalists to help him achieve such goals.
1
Yes it's primary uses are speculation, money laundering and scamming.
1
It will recover but the US needs to hit rock bottom. It clearly hasn't hit rock bottom yet and is protected to a large extent by being the major reserve currency in the world.
1
The retaliatory tariffs China is planning will be more targeted to cause as much pain as possible over as many states as possible. China also knows what will have no effect on them, as in other sellers around the world to replace any supply shortfalls.
1
Every 30 day pause paralizes business, nobody can make business decisions regarding capital investment under such circumstances. Let's see if the steel and aluminium tariffs go into effect on 12 March.
