I feel sorry for that guy with the long sleeved brown shirt. Pretty he's being forced to do that or lose his job based on his body language.

In answer to the headline Musk is only cashing in on power, he isn't cashing in cash wise killing the Tesla brand everywhere except China. Edit ok and US government.

Someone needs to make the direct arguments about money and the stock market. While it's hard in many circumstances to completely boycott US companies, it's extremely easy to reduce consumption. To give one example, Coke and Pepsi literally dominate the world's Cola market. In most countries but possibly not all alternative cola brands or a home brand exists. It's extremely likely Coke and Pepsi's international sales will decline enough to affect profits and therefore the share price. Now think of all the big multinational food brands based in the US, same will likely occur with them but probably to a lesser extent because they often own lots of local brands that wouldn't be immediately associated with a US company. Trump has already most likely hurt many industries inside the US. Even these countries recieving AID will still have US company products on their store shelves. Only destitute refugees have nothing, poor countries are still big consumers overall especially on the most basic products like soap and detergent.
1
Based on Trump's previous behaviour he will stuff it up and he wants it done his way not a way another country does it.
1
They will, but you have to remember these people are indoctrinated, Trump will blame the deep state AKA public service and they will believe.
1
Is he going to institute export bans on oil products or nationalise oil companies like Venezuela did? This is the only way to bring prices down.
1
The US has veto power in the UN security council making it powerless to do anything.
1
To those Americans who are unhappy with Trump's behaviours and nominations. Well he's probably going to start a trade war US versus the world which will hurt everyone. The silver lining for us foreigners is it will be entertaining watching the apprentice on steroids , his cabinet is basically a reality show and Trump won't change he will enjoy hiring and firing them all, it will be very entertaining to the world.
1
It's to cause fear, same reason no other countries not yet targeted are speaking up against Trump's crazy trade war. However citizens in Europe, Australia and NZ who following this are boycotting US products along with Canadians and Mexicans. Outside of China and the US Tesla is looking terrible.
1
@neutrino78x Well all agricultural areas are red areas so you shouldn't have any problems with retaliatory tariffs against agricultural products .
1
He must be a supernatural being then. We all deteriorate after about 50 or so. Joe Biden does just like Trump.
1
Most pro Trump comments come from Americans.
1
Actually non voters won, they were a higher percentage than Trump voters.
1
AR 15 style just means semi-automatic rifle in US news media language and sounds like it was. Don't you watch your own media?
1
Not really but that's not what's happening. The country is being run into the ground to support billionaires. This is fully intentional. Hopefully Americans will wake up in 2 years.
1
You afraid of being eaten?
1
Covid of course. According to his fans he created the best economy ever and managed covid 19 well.
1
This is a disgusting headline. The instigators of what occurred were Israeli's supporting the Genocide in Gaza and wanting to expand the campaign overseas. Truly disgusting for a nominally left wing media outlet. On this issue you are to the far right.
1
You've been a low functioning democracy for many years, it's just that it might accelerate. This could lead to revolution if it keeps getting worse. Your government has been controlled for many years by lobby groups. This is what makes you a dysfunctional democracy because the voters actually follow the directions of the lobbyists telling you who to vote for with their PACs if any politician gets out of line. All the powerful lobby groups are industry groups and even some individuals now plus AIPAC.
1
The plan I believe is tent cities. They'll need to build sanitation infrastructure however unless they going to use porta potties.
1
They can't, Trump has absolute power as given to him by the constitution. If one of his underlings breaks a law and it's a punishable offence , Trump can just pardon them. Truth is as you're seeing now there's no checks and balances on your presidents power if that person has the support of his or her party which Trump currently has.
1
@DariusSharlow Tesla isn't worth that, market valuation and worth or intrinsic value are different things.
1
@kathyheyne6030 I think the reason Chinese leadership has said nothing about Tesla is because it's a bargaining chip, Musk is probably viewed as a Chinese diplomatic asset.
1
@dannyvine3605 to be fair it's 10% on top of existing tariffs. Trump's threat of 60% tariffs plus the 10% not eventuating could be due to Musk. So I agree it's likely that Musk has a significant influence.
1
This is what people voted for. Trump didn't keep it a secret. If the senate obstructs Trump's picks it will just make them hypocrits because before the election they were dead silent on the issue. If you don't like what Trump is doing you pretty much should be campaigning for constitutional change because it's your system that makes it so easy for a person like Trump to do what he intends to do.
1
There's probably worse out there. Such thoughts can lead to suicidal thoughts because you think you've lost everything and nobody will help you.
1
The corruption you describe is already well instituted in the Pharmaceutical industry. The corruption you speak of actually brought Trump into power because they see him as less corrupt whether you like it or not.
1
Well we don't know because barely any swing state votes counted.
1
Well done for stopping something that has never happened. Bravo, Bravo!
1
It's probably training. I doubt any military operations were being carried out.
1
50 million Americans believe Trump won in 2020. Seems you can hide the truth from many and remarkably easily.
1
Any strip clubs in DC look forward to official pentagon meetings to be held there. Don't worry DOD can pay the bills, he can't bankrupt that organisation.
1
When are Americans going to realise that a handgun won't stop a bullet from a rifle fired 300 yards away? I ask this genuinely because there's something really wrong thinking that having a handgun would stop such a bullet. Maybe restriction of weapons that can be owned would be a better path. The US as the most dangerous high income country needs to wake up.
1
Your number is out by about 100,000,000. Kettle calling pot black. Or are Democrats collecting votes from babies and illegal immigrants?
1
It's a joke, deploying military won't stop the flow of fentanyl products mostly smuggled through legal ports of entry by US citizens.
1
I doubt it , as Musk annoys people they will buy alternatives to Tesla.
1
Iron ore mines , coal mines, iron and aluminium smelters, a few plastics factories and a heap of new US oil production and the refineries to process that grade of oil. Plus of course vehicle parts factories for every single component. Sounds doable.
1
Rallies don't indicate much at all. Biden didn't even really have Rallies last time and he won.
1
Two thirds of the voting population either support this or are ok with this even if every Democrat that voted isn't ok with it. Is he qualified is basically a question whether or not he is literate. He has a Master of Public Policy degree so he is overqualified for the job. All he needs to do in the job is be capable of reading reports given to him and the advice contained within. That's not a hard job actually, the public servants within DoD run the show AKA deepstate as Donald refers to the public service.
1
Why the soft language, if fentanyl crosses the US Mexico border it's smuggling and criminal but US criminals smuggling guns to Mexico is called selling them guns.
1
But he can't. The likely crimes will be at the state level.
1
Trump is a socialist, what do you think tariffs are for and handouts to farmers etc.?
1
If martial law can be declared it then becomes relatively easy to do using National guard or regular military.
1
But the economy was great. It's a low minimum wage in most states which is the problem.
1
@2Bros-OVO yeah the wages in the US is the problem, companies are making record profits and the economy is doing great. Billionaires are getting richer and richer. Are you unaware of this phenomenon?
1
Rudy is correct, the settlements in the US are ridiculous. But Americans support this system and Rudy hasn't cared before.
1
Israel claims to be a modern liberal democracy, it isn't and should be held to the standard they claim, not some other standard of a tin pot dictatorship.
1
A corporal can't become a commissioned officer, even Trump can't pull that off.
1
Lol
1
The answer to that question is whoever will give absolute loyalty to Donald. Treasury Secretary number 1 qualification is to support running up government debt and having a trade war against the entire world and not saying a word against it.
