Stelvio does 60mph in 4.4 seconds? Car and driver got X40i at 60mph in 4.4 seconds while the Stelvio did it in 5.4 seconds. Not sure what you are making up with. 3 seconds but good try. Stelvio is also dimensionally much smaller but FCA fanboys seem to make up facts anyways https://www.caranddriver.com/alfa-romeo/stelvio https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2018-bmw-x3-m40i-test-review

Considering a normal Genesis G70 3.3TT outperforms this newer (race inspired) TLX Type S is very telling. For the price, I dont get the Type S at all when the competition does it better while being much more luxurious inside. In the case of G70 the Genesis, costs less money to boot. Plus that ten speed auto insurance the Acura is still far from a sporty transmission. Acura owners can't even claim the vehicles are reliable given all the tech and transmission woes.. Dissapointed in Acura given all the hype they put out there. Former Integra GSR, Integra Type R, and TL Type S owner here as well so I know what Acura was once capable of with a fwd based vehicle

This car would be so amazing with a manual transmission option.
4
I would go Genesis GV80 in this segment. If hybrid is a must I would go RX
4
You are so much betrer off getting the Mazda 3 hatchback, especially with the 2.5L. Ground clearance and actual driver's height is not that much greater than the 3 hatch. Other than America's obsession with AWD this has nothing to offer
4
What an unattractive interior. Couple that with thrill less driving, it's very boring and uninspiring. Sad. Kia Stinger for me as they actually made a fun car
4
Genesis GV70 is superior in every way honestly. Acura's interior is embarrassing to be called luxurious. Just look at all that piano black/low rent materials on that dash. Not to mention SHAWD isn't the second coming that Alex makes it out to be
4
Fully agree with Alex that the SX trim should be able to option some of the Prestige trims features. Wish all trims had the cool sognature lighting on them. The Carnival looks stunning. I love that it has a NA V6 and the interior as well. Solid offering to fight against the Pacifica which is also great
4
I would go Alfa as a lease. Mercedes styling always looks like balloon characters. Also the Stevio steering is amazing. Has much more character. I would personally prefer the sedans over an suv
4
Love the spec! Love the Durango SRT. Great choice
4
Alex really loves himself some twist beam rear suspension and CVT. I'll pass on all of his advice from now on. No LED or even HID headlights is kind of inexcusable in 2019
4
pedro fernandez it's terrible to drive but it's got awd! Yes!
4
Such a boring and dull design. Reminds me of buick in the early 2000's. Elder people special.

+Alex on Autos Agree i would not buy a vehicle for a gopro mount. A gimmick at best
3
Nicholas Williams the fact that you need a link to prove it's real wood just shows how bad the finish is. Real wood trim is generally vary obvious.
3
Alex i normally agree with you but one shopping for a civic si cannot afford a ilx. Honestly if i could afford an ilx i wouldnt take it due to the lack of manual and in general am not a fan of acura. At that price point of the ilx you could get a much nicer sports car. i know it wont be as luxurous well mayebe not as acuras terrible leather, but the civic si shopper generally is after an engaging and sporty car. So there extra money is likely to go after hp not terrible leather. thats my opinion at least
3
Just wish a manual was still an option. Perfect size car otherwise for my needs but will not buy an automatic. I know I'm in the minority but this car would be on my list if it had a manual. Looks great.
3
agree
3
oldtwins i was thinking the same. Their 3.5L V6 is one of the best. I miss it
3
After watching this great video comparison, it makes me vendors more appreciative of the MDX. Easily the pick out of all of these especially when looking at price. Now if Acura could just fix their infotainment it would be a slam dunk
3
Really love the interior on this. Very well done. Definetly better than the Accord
3
I'm not a GM guy but the Volt all day over this turd. I mean 25 miles ev range ?! terrible
3
Trades46 I agree. I would not purchase a car without HID or LED headlights for my family. I need the best night vision possible. Terrible commission by FCA in my book
3
shocked no mustang or camaro convertible comparison as I feel thise are closer competition in than a fwd 500 Abarth. Price wasn't a factor since the Z4 was thrown in. Puzzling
3
MURRAYsaysHI the Optima interior actually blows away all but the Audi and MB top trim interiors. I agree. Kia Optima SXL would be unstoppable if it had a little more power but overall bargain of the century
3
Isn't GM the first Chinese company to sell in the US? Confused. Buick Envision, CTS hybrid, ect.
3
Oh I wish Bangle would come back compared the this head designer's junk
3
Alex in his California bubble is annoyingly short sighted. So on a cold Wisconsin winter morning, I couldn't even get to work one way on EV power and then drive back with the extra weight making worse fuel economy as slower performance than the standard petrol. Hard pass. 16 miles in California is terrible range and you can't just blame the tires for the range right after you praise it for It's dynamics and handling which the tires create.
3
Drove both the DCT and manual version of the Belonged N. Much prefer the engagement of the manual and the suspension rides better than the DCT with higher spring rates. Alex again touting the DCT as the end all be all males sense for someone who isn't an enthusiast or lazy. DCT is only faster with launch control, not in the street/real world
3
@Alex on Autos Alex, once you lose battery power/charge level, do you lose AWD? Same for that 0 to 60mph number ?
3
Little details like the wood trim grain not lining really make the interior hit or miss inside especially for the price. Without the Ferrari V8, I don't get the appeal of the Levante outside of loving the Maserati badge
3
Somebody has to make snow...
3
Two different materials. There are worse things in the world than non matching software touch dash color with your interior on your $25k CUV. I dont mind it at all
3
Hate the higher trims front. Like the Corolla hatchbacks front much better. That said, way better looking than any Honda Civic. Also love that NA 2L engine. Definelty needs Android Auto though
3
Heyu Yoma yes Prius was the ugliest untill the type r came out
3
@DarrenPersad except it can't tow and has a third row for the legless. I do like your Consumer Report attitude though. Very open minded clearly
3
Way overpriced, horrible acceleration, horrible braking, and horrible infotainment but people don't care because Toyota. People buy Toyota products blindly. Also the hybrid does not fix everything Alex. I do not want wheel spin/fake AWD. I do not want the extra weight and horrid braking. Into not want a CVT.
3
Nissan needs to just change its name to Hertz and I think they would be viewed ,such more favorably. They are great rental Vehicles.
3
Would much rather have the Toyota Avalon with its superior tech. Lexus is a joke to call this a luxury car
3
David Wu and its fwd
3
Sponsored Content. Love how Alex says the Rams air suspension will cost more to replace than the adaptive Sierra suspension even though he doesn't know the cost. Yet the advanced cylinder deactivation system in the Sierra must cost peanuts to fix as well, right? This whole "review"felt very one sided. The interior on here is terrible for a truck and horrible for a luxury truck yet no mention in this video. I guess customers GM surveyed didn't want a nice interior either. Everything bad you seem to have an excuse for.
3
Am I understanding the pricing correctly that you need to spend $60k to get rear seat vents? I would go Ram and then F150. Tundra is not competitive and already feels dated
3
Alex is talking out of both sides of his mouth. Making zero sense when comparing it to the new Altima
3
Yes same here
3
They make it slow because the old people that drive them can't handle torque. They are also mentally slow so this helps
3
Its going to be so nose heavy and should have done this correctly lke ever other luxury competitor (except Volvo) with mounting the engine longitudinally. Such a big car now. I really don't see the appeal or why you would pay a price premium when a Genesis G70 3.3TT will perform better for less unless you just really want an Acura. I do love that Acura brought out its Integra Type R to drive for reviewers. I had a GS-R back in the day and loved it.
3
This design already looks stale. Reminds me of the prior gen Avalon up front. Still no Android Auto. Pass
3
Not at all. Look up BMW X340iM
3
Fantastic upgrade. The SRT Durango is such great vehicle! I much prefer the updated looks of the SRT. The new interior is so nice with that forged carbon found in Lamborghini vehicles. I want one.
3
Where are they making strides? Middle of class in everything, 3 years late, and the highest price in segment. Yeah they are killing it..............
