Yeah both of these boring cuvs would not me on my list. At these prices I'd go Mazda CX5 2.5L Turbo all day long. Way better interior and powertrain
3
Love this car! The Sport manual is on my lost to purchase. Just the right amount of tech and nothing gimmicky. A great driver most importantly. Closest thing to my original Lexus IS300 5speed manual I owned. Very happy Genesis made this and I want to reward them with my money. Good old Alex advocating the death of the manual transmission.
3
Why is Ford so awful with interiors? This is terrible and cheap. Huge plastic bezel surround. Tesla and Ram have done this so much better. Interface looks horrid as well. 360 degree takes up two inches of the screen hahaha
3
george mcray hay At least it has a great engine and driving capabilities unlike the Lexus nX turd
3
james 699 link to where it shows the reliability on a 5 year old Lexus turbo please?
3
Not sure explanation makes sense at the end. When you go to tree off cars with your spouse and the Stelvio QV has been in the shop for a month waiting on parts for a third time , the only option is the Civic turbo and carpooling.
3
Alex a Mercedes AMG GT isnt a competitor to the LC500? It has gt in its name. Also seen BMW i8 buyers shop this.
3
Normally I am against the awd demand but here it really needs AWD option given how Toyota cuts power on the V6 on slip which happens in the first three gears. Makes the V6 not fun. At these power levels, AWD should have been offered
3
Disappointing would be an understatement. I wish we could get the EU Passat but VW knows the US market is unintelligent and just wants a boat to fit there obese size back. Should sell well.
3
Way too expensive especially for that Fisher Price interior. Interior is atleast a generation behind the competition especially when you start pricing it like a Telluride/Palisade
3
Can't wait for the Veloster N
3
Slow, bad electronics, bad brakes, loud, meh handling. I'd take a Hyundai Velosoter Turbo or Elantra Sport over this 2.5L equipped Mazda. Mazda keeps going more and more mainstream and numbing the great features. I'm scared of there future direction. Not for enthusiasts it appears
3
Joe Pah how is this reliable when everything is all new? Also Honda's automatics are known to drop prematurely.
3
I'm sorry
3
Because Mercedes and BMWs never depreciate.....
3
So VW made it cheaper feeling, more heavy, slower, and more numb. Great. Americans will love this. Another cheapen3d North American VW product. Between this, the Atlas, and Passat, I feel maybe a dime was spent on the interior. Definelty not German
3
Amazing how much better this is than Cadillac. Just look at that interior and cohesive design. Cadillac should be embarrassed
3
I wont buy a new car unless it's direct sales method. I am done with the stealerships and there predatory practices. This illustrates why I wont by buying from a traditional manufacturer that forces you to deal with a stealership. Keep the Rivian, ditch the Ford
3
Sarkus01 I disagree with you. The Santa Fe shown already over seas is much more subtle than this design. The Kona is much edgier
3
Love all the tool owners driving these on the expressway as there daily and never take it off road. Bro dozer from the factory. Everything wrong with automobiles right here. Gluttony. Just waiting for Semi or tanks to be sold at dealers for these bros
3
dave6726 agree and the commenters on the channel are much more educated than on red line which has a median age of 9
3
Right Lane Hog thank you. I really feel the Camaro is the best sports car of the group but it's visibility limitations are kind of a big deal for me. I'm in the process of purchasing a 370Z so I really tested the Camaro and just couldn't pull the trigger.
3
Price is way too much. Crazy high for this. Needs to be at least $10k lower. XC40 has more power and a better interior for less. Not a fan of the Otterbox enclosed iPad looking display. This would be a quality Buick offering but not a Cadillac nor for the price they are asking. Pretty slow and no SuperCruise is lame. Also everything is faster than the Lexus UX. Thats not a compliment. Cadillac took the luxury of being last to this segment and they brought a very meh product. Very typical of Cadillac lately.
3
Brett ruined everything! Those tacky chrome trim around the bumper looks so,cheap and awful. Honda has no idea what styling is
3
The whole car is ugly. Its not just the hanus grille. The front and rear clip are bad. Interior is also nothing special either for a luxury car. On a luxury purchase, I don't understand why you would go ugly when you have the beautiful Audi A/S/RS5, Mercedes C Class coupe, or even the Alfa Giulia which I know isn't a coupe. Just way better options than to buy a car you don't want to be seen in.
3
Congrats. I love the new K900. It's stunning inside and out. It's the Better Volvo in my opinion. RWD and tech that works
3
Hackiesacker007 I agree. Very ugly. Girls will love it though
3
Mike Gee your low IQ is your loss.
3
I found one with 3.5k miles on it and an asking price of $47k. Could not believe how bad its residuals are
3
Alex gush fest. Four cylinder only engine lineup, transversely mounted engine/fwd based really have this dead in the water to me. The hybrid will have so many problems. They really need a six cylinder offering. The Acura TLX seems to be its direct competitor, not the Germans
3
Gross
3
watershed44 agree on this Eco thing being crap. Only women will buy it
3
When your Lexus coupe weighs more than a four door BMW 7 series....
3
Honda cannot make a single good looking car. Its like they are trying to be ugly. Then there is all that shiney piano black plastic inside that already looks dirty. Then there is the fact that you have to pay $48k to get a heated steering wheel. Dislike
3
The fact that you are surprised an a used 8 year old German car is unreliable proves your own point. Intelligence is not on your side.
3
Right Lane Hog good luck figuring out that Lexus craptastic interface
3
Magnesium shift paddles to shift a gearless transmission...This sums up this car perfetly. Get rid of the junk Jatco CVT, get a lsd, and lose the "4DSC" badge. Kia Stinger over this all day. Hell an Avalon TRD is a better version of this and it will be dead reliable unlike the Nissan
3
XC40 looks and performs so much better. For a new entry, the Q3 already celebrated and nothing special. For $38k though I am going Mazda CX-5 2.5L Turbo over all of these
3
Why would they sell 2 of essentially the same vehicle (EV Niro and EV Soul) in the same showroom? Could havedistinguished the Niro EV by offering AWD which would have gave the consumer the option if they want to pay more for AWD. Instead you have 2 of the same. Shame. I know for a fact my sister was going to buy the Niro until she learned it didn't have AWD.
3
He definelty is more of a typical California EV guy. Hates manual transmissions, ect. Not the best reviewer
3
Its much better if you were listening to him. Is SH AWD essentially. No idea why fanboys think Subaru AWD makes you invincible.
3
That's what I thought too. Not sure about Alex's graphic
3
It really doesn't matter what FCA does, that ZF 9 speed ruins every fwd based vehicle it has
3
Sadly the Explorer ruin ed the styling of this by making it popular and cops cars. Played out
3
This segment is so bad with the exception of the Kona 1.6T option. Slow, poor braking, overpriced, poor interior, and CVT. Honda really mailed it in
3
This comparison really points out how bad the Toyota 2L Turbo in the IS is. They were the last manufacturer to introduce a 2L Turbo in the RC200 and it is by far the worst turbo. The Audi 2L turbo in contrast is just a modern marvel. I don't believe there is a better 2 L engine made today
3
I actually really don't mind the fake wood trim in this QX80. I'm my opinion the fake wood trim looks miles better than all the piano black plastic used in it's place on something like the new MDX interior which Alex gushes over. I think if this got a modern one touchscreen and the Titans nine speed automatic, Infiniti would have a nice product on there hands.
3
The Veloster N competes with the GTI, not so much the Turbo trim. That said, the Veloster N is a much more engaging car and a better handler. Does not offer a automatic transmission option like the GTI nor does the interior hold a candle to the GTI inside. If you want a luxurious inside, get the GTI. If you like cars that talk to you, get the Veloster N. I would not fault someone for choosing one over the other. Both are fantastic cars.
3
I would definitely get this Polestar 2 over the Mache. Definitely would do a different spec I interior though. I also appreciate the direct ish sales method Polestar allows you.
3
I'd get a Kia Stinger in this segment
