Rich nations: “Throwing money at the problem, instead of working together isn’t helping? Preposterous! Let’s throw more money at it!”
6
Also politicians: and since this will help the future, make the future pay for it..
6
The consequence of 24/7 Cable News is: it’s less “information driven” and more “ratings and ad dollars driven.” I’m so glad I don’t have cable TV.
6
“We the people” only matter to politicians during an election year.
6
Several trials were held regarding crimes from the Balkan wars, an infamous result was one of them snuck cyanide (or something similar) into court, which he took after yelling he was not a criminal.
6
Southerners claim to be “true Americans” yet honor traitors that tried to break away from the United States by showing up to protests to remove the statues with semi-automatic rifles?
6
@mattomalley3056 I live in Queens, there are HUGE chunks of Queens (and Brooklyn) that aren’t connected to the subway unless you take at least one bus first. You can go between Brooklyn and Queens without needing Manhattan... on the G train.
5
People foolishly believe that the metal and concrete “vault” will stop you from decomposing... they don’t realize that the body breaks down from the INSIDE out. Plus most of the vaults leak anyway... who’s going to check that it’s secure?
4
It’s Ghostbusters, they are trying to force the end times instead of just letting them work out naturally... That’s not the work of any god... it’s the work of devils.
4
@TheRedStateBlue both parties serve their own selfish interests, they don’t serve the people.
4
Remember, the victorious are the writers of history… to get the full story you need to track down the losing side too.
4
Trams getting priority over cars is a no-no in America... here one person in a car is much more “important” than a silly tram full of people... this is way we need to build trams on separate rights of way.
4
See Agent Smith’s diatribe from the first Matrix film... he’s right. We are a virus.
4
Bugs Bunny vs. Daffy Duck governing.
4
@Ilikefire2793 they have cargo ships designed to carry cars, it’s basically a giant floating parking structure as there’s several decks to hold cars, and a ramp that folds out and raises up and down to each level (since there’s no port infrastructure like that). That’s what sank near the Canary Islands carrying all those high end cars from Europe.
3
INTRAGAME SOLUTIONS the argument is that it’s easier to obtain a rifle or shotgun license, and that handguns are too easy to conceal (there’s also a conceal carry permit, but you need a REALLY good reason to get that!
3
That was a primary election, they were voting for who would run against each other in November.
3
@sammierose1150 it’s the South Park argument: “Dey tuck ma jerb!”
3
Play the music from Star Trek when Spock has to fight Kirk on Vulcan.
3
John Delorean was also over 6 feet tall.. he designed the car for someone like him. The doors originally didn’t have those straps to pull them closed, because he could actually reach the handle. Once they realized a lot of people couldn’t do that, they added the straps.
3
Didn’t ask for directions.
3
Don USSR actually put nuclear powered robotic rovers on the moon first, lunokhod 1 and 2.
3
Every other nation had a nationwide plan to deal with this, the US federal government left it up to the states, so we had 50 different plans with limited regional cooperation. Once the “hotspots” managed to fend off the virus, the curve line went down like everywhere else, other areas threw open the doors under the false belief that “it’s over! Time to fix the economy.” And then the line went back up like a roller coaster.

Russians: “what...? it’s balmy outside.”
2
Eisenhower tried to warn us before he left office... we didn’t listen.

Sadly both of my grandmother’s spent their last years in a Nursing facility. Neither had dementia, but one suffered several strokes that affected key areas of her brain that impaired her memory, eventually she had more strokes that caused her to go into a physical decline and she ended up bedridden for a few weeks before she passed. (Both of my grandfather’s died much younger in hospitals). My other grandmother basically gave up, didn’t want food, didn’t want water, just was done with life (it was sad, but she did live to 94, and also had she outlived for her husband 25 years! I think that much time passing really affected her choice.)

Catching the ball and being able to drop kick it towards a lit objective takes skill that some people just don’t have the patience for... but the machine will take your quarters either way. I love the controlled chaos of multiball, if I ever hit the lotto my one frivolous buy will be a pinball table.... maybe two if I can somehow get Star Trek the Next Generation. 😏
2
@Sasataf the machines a programmed for use by either party, I guess they can't lock out the side you aren't supposed to vote on.
2
The surface part might be intact, but I’m guessing all that saltwater and pressure (Titanic’s remains are over 3.8km down) are affecting it, but maybe from the bottom layers up.
2
If they actually put up and passed a bill that kept the government open for at least 2 years (the amount of time between House elections) this would be less of a problem… but no, now we just need the minority party to have a tantrum over the bill to continue funding and shut downs happen… Welcome to Minority Rule.
2
You commit a crime and tell the judge “I didn’t know that was a crime.” Judge: “ignorance of the law is no excuse.” Cops do it, “Well it’s not department policy, so I didn’t know. I wasn’t supposed to do that” Judge, “case dismissed.”
2
@superslimanoniem4712 they are also working on making supersonic flight less annoying for people on the ground, the plane they came up with looks like a skinny boat hull.
2
Unfortunately the sad truth is, the gave renters a break, but not landlords, especially smaller landlords. They still had to pay property taxes, mortgages, etc... and rents were being used to fund those expenses. We may go from an eviction crisis, to a defaults on mortgages crisis that sees all the smaller landlords vanish.
2
There’s a documentary: “The Confederate States of America” that what-ifs history into the South winning the war.
2
@JohnDoe-dr9ff I guess we’d have to look into the record of Medicare to see how good or bad it can get.
2
Most suburbs became affordable because of those copy/paste ticky-tacky houses.
2
@lukeshaul820 now? I’m pretty sure it’s been a while since they got those.
2
@mrseyo6572 perhaps we should be researching ways to use it after it's no longer viable for power plants. Certain designs of "molten salt reactors" could be an option, as they don't need as pure of a fuel source, and can even use depleted uranium.
2
This was my argument... pay someone to go sick, or have the entire business get sick from them.
2
Yes, Sears & Roebuck Catalogs used to be THE place to order everything, including the kitchen sink and the rest of the kitchen and the house around it if you wanted.
2
Problem is, the two parties controlling everything now, aren’t going to give up the system that gives them total power over the country.
2
@rorypaul153 cut out the middle man, there’s no need to eat animals!
2
@infocat13 some new housing developers are doing district geothermal power, heating and cooling, but that’s dependent on local geology.
2
@BGGIEMAN Trump promised more coal mining and jobs for coal miners... the coal industry is still collapsing, because most electric plants that use coal are shutting down, or converting to Natural Gas.
2
The more 2020 goes on, the angrier I am that it’s actually difficult to leave America and go somewhere else (because until I can obtain another citizenship the IRS will HOUND me like I’m trying to hide money offshore... I’m not a billionaire, but I will be treated like one if I became an expat. It’s almost like they are saying, “How DARE you try to leave!” So much for “freedom”.)
2
Wow, reading more into this, Reverend Jim Jones (yes, the Jonestown Massacre guy) tried to save the building, and even got 2000 of his supporters to help surround the building at an earlier eviction attempt. The city Sheriff knew Jones, and actually refused to follow the eviction order! (The Sheriff wound up being held in contempt of court for it). The new I-Hotel is in the same exact spot, the land was bought by the Catholic Archdiocese.
2
Captcha: “I’m not a robot.” Terminator: “Cybernetic organism.”
2
@arghost9798 you need permission from the UN first.
2
@mphomosoahle4845 except many large companies are paying little to no taxes via loopholes (Amazon for example paid zero taxes at least once. How are they not making profits? Creative accounting, that's how. )
2
@thetimelapseguy8 unfortunate more bears=more competition for food, and more contact with humans as the sea ice comes in later and later for the starving bears. Plus the Grizzly’s range is expanding towards Polar Bears, and some wonder if they will compete with each other, or interbreed to create a Polar-Grizzly hybrid that will drive non-hybrid Polar Bears to extinction.
