  4. Ukraine as usual appears to take suicidal western advice thinking it can beat Russia with a few Atacams and Storm Shadows. Russia has perfected the art of drone warfare combined with missiles. Ukraine must remember if it continues to misbehave, Putin has said he will use more Hazels. If a number of Hazels are used in the same area, the destruction is equal to a nuclear strike but without fallout from radiation. The west cannot give enough air defences to stop drones and conventional missiles when used in a large volume. So far Russia has sought to minimise casualties, but if push comes to shove, they have the capacity to level Kiev or any city. The west has nothing to stop Hazel.

At the start of the counter offensive, this Sean Bell fellow said, the first 72 hours are critical, Ukraine has to do a breaching operation quickly, and then do a blitzkrieg to the Sea of Azov and the Russians would be so dazed, they would surrender. He said Ukraine must not get bogged down in a war of attrition as the Russians would win on that. But what we observe is that Ukraine could not breach the Russian defence lines after 2 months, they could not even reach the first line and in trying, they lost much western equipment and got massacred. Then a month ago, this Sean Bell said the Ukranians are doing probing operations. After they had found the weak spot and worn the Russians down, he said they would bring their strike force and uncommitted equipment into the fray and force the Russians into surrender ! Meanwhile Ukraine's handlers in the US are beginning to voice the opinion that Ukraine cannot win. The US military is saying the Ukrainians are wasting their time and western resources with attacks on the bridge and on Moscow, and they should stick with the plan of breaching the Russian defences and heading towards Azov Sea. Meanwhile, Russia is advancing on Kupiansk with a view to get Kharkhov oblast back. In Vilnius, the US signalled acceptance of defeat when it said Ukraine cannot join NATO and there is no plan - they conceded THE key Russian demand.

Now, he is not deriding the Russians about their inferior technology and morale and tactics as he usually does, and he is not over praising Ukraine's position and chances. He knows this is make or break for Ukraine, and the odds are that Ukraine will be defeated. After that, the west will not finance another offensive, they will put pressure on Ukraine to negotiate. However, as Putin said when Ukraine broke off negotiations when BoJo ordered it to, next time the terms Russia imposes will be much greater. In fact, Russia may not agree to negotiate if Ukraine's offensive fails. They will not buy the western idea of freezing the conflict and putting the rest of Ukraine into NATO.

Meanwhile the Russians are advancing in Kupiansk and Lyman, and they have ended Ukraine's wheat exports (loss of $ 500 million of revenue). The US sold out Ukraine in Vilnius be vetoing NATO membership. Now they are busy covering up and claiming the initiative is with Ukraine !

Actually, I found what he writes in Sky News is more balanced, what he says in interviews is the opposite - he told us Russia was running out of missiles in 2022; it could not get electronic components due to our sanctions, it was scrounging parts from washing machines; and best of all, Russians had run out of armaments in Bakhmut and were issued with shovels; Ukrainian 2023 offensive was hindered because of the season's tall grass ....

When Ukraine walked away from Istanbul 1 after Johnson's order, Putin had said next time negotiations are asked, Russia's terms would be stiffer. In March 2022, Russia was content with Ukraine agreeing to neutrality and ceding Crimea. Now Russia wants Ukrainian neutrality + Crimea + 4 oblasts. Soon Sumy and Odessa will be added to that list.

  26. In retrospect, Ukraine should not have been given independence, they were better off under Russia. They did not have the political maturity to steer a neutral path between its powerful neighbour and American lures. It was given independence under the conditions that it would give up nuclear weapons sited there by the Soviet Union, and it would not join any military alliance. It unilaterally tried to renege on the second condition for independence, and thought it could whip up a militant nationalism based on Russophobia. It fell for American inducements, and the pompous western narrative that the decision to join NATO should be only Ukraine's - when the condition for separating from Russia was that it would not join any military alliance targeting Russia. Ukraine that it could renege without consequences because it believed America would save it. Naturally, Russia felt betrayed. Ukraine has completely squandered its independence because now not only is NATO entry not possible, it will be partitioned and be in a permanently disturbed state.   28. The British do not have the money but still want to be at the forefront of fighting Russia. Starmer is as enthusiastic as the previous lot in fighting Russia. But the fact that he was forced to make defence cuts means Britain cannot afford it. If this the case, then the question all should be asking is why is Britain trying to inflame the war when it cannot sustain it ? This is what the interviewer should have asked. Trump (whatever his shortcomings) at least understands the US has as an incredible debt and its manufacturing base is gone, so it cannot afford more forever wars despite being a superpower. Why is it the non-powers of Europe like Britain cannot understand this ? The British MPs and their media boast too much about their Storm Shadows. I remember when they were first brought to Ukraine in 2023, there was euphoria in the British media, they told us it will aid Ukraine's counter offensive and Ukraine would capture the Crimea and the Storm Shadows would take out the Kerch bridge and leave Russian soldiers without supplies. The Kerch bridge was hit a few times, till the Russians figured out how to knock out the Storm Shadows. They got hold of a major part of a Storm Shadow and took it to Russia for analysis. This round of euphoria will last less than 2 months. And Ukraine will be in a far worse position. Trump is annoyed with what Biden has done, he sees it as an effort to saddle Trump's terms with problems, hence he will be even more determined to cut Ukraine.

Here this joker says Ukraine will wrest the nuclear power plant from the Russians - as if that is a foregone conclusion. The importance is not that the plant supplies electricity to Crimea, it produces 25% Ukraine's electricity. Russia is controlling it to reinforce Ukraine's power shortage. The Ukranians and their western sponsors have lost the war, they cannot dislodge the Russians.

The war will end when the US decides it is war in Ukraine is not profitable (when costs outweigh profits) . For Russia, it is a security issue. The counter offensive is not going anywhere and the Ukranians have said they are surprised by the Russian fortifications. Ukraine does not have the manpower or the artillery shells for sustained duels. The west will give some time, and after that the US will tell Ukraine to negotiate. The western economies have been hit hard, and they cannot sustain it.

And what is Ukraine's manpower status ? The best of its arms forces have been killed. The west is unable to supply Ukraine the shells. A few tanks will not make a difference.
