@optimisticfuture6808 Ukraine has run out shells let alone tanks. The west cannot supply them in time. Russia will prevail. The western narrative is changing. You need to update yourself from earlier western propaganda about Ukrainian victory.

Yesterday, Zelensky demanded Russia must be brave enough to admit it has lost. This is even before the Ukranian counter offensive is launched. What is going on ?

I do detect the note of despondency in the western corporate media - BBC, France 24, DW etc. However for negotiations, the west needs an off-ramp. They declared Putin must not be allowed to win, Putin should be removed etc. Russia will never accept again the US, UK etc. as guarantors of Ukraine. Russia is not going to withdraw to pre-war borders after they took the 4 oblasts. They spent money and lives, so why would they give it back ? All Ukraine can do is accept the loss of land, and promise neutrality.

Ukranians say they are making incremental progress on Kherson - like the Russians !

Lithuania believes it is now a superpower.

@generalgrievous696 Where do you get the delusion that NATO will respond ? NATO is the US. Without the US, Europe would not last one day, 30 or 32 does not matter. Kissinger had said that the US would not fight a nuclear war with the USSR to save Germany and Europe. Why should the US self destruct ?
1
@aramisio2 How did Russia break the Budapest Memorandum ? That agreement says the signatories US, UK and Russia not to use arms against Ukraine, except when if it threatens the security of the three signatories. Now Ukraine is not going to threaten the security of US and UK. But it decided to threaten the security of its neighbour Russia, by trying to enter into a sneaky military alliance with the other two signatories. The other two signatories have also played dirty against Russia by inciting anti Russian groups and creating a coup in 2014. Hence, Ukraine and two of the signatories broke the spirit of the Budapest Memorandum conspired against Russia, and the clause about the allowability of military action in the defence of security of the signatories comes into play. Ukraine and two signatories went against the Budapest Memorandum, so that is the end of it. Russia will end Ukraine's independence.

Preparing the public for fall of Bahkmut - just declare it is of little importance, pour cold water on it and say no one can understand why Russia wants Bakhmut.

Behind the desire to get Ukraine into NATO lies the aim of the US to eject Russia from Sevastopol and have a naval base. That is what the war is about. Russia will never allow Ukraine into Crimea. One foot into Crimea, and Ukraine will be hit with a nuclear strike. Loss of Crimea would be a strategic defeat and Putin has said that is the condition that will lead Russia to use a nuclear strike on Ukraine. Then all the NATO people will look the other way and wish better it is on Ukraine, than on them !

@hudhinton8243 The Anglo Saxons have generally plotted wars - they incite others and sometimes invade themselves. Iraq, Afghanistan. That was possible against smaller countries. You try the same against Russia and China, they will clobber you. The US plotted NATO expansion to undermine Russia. However Russia is pushing back, it hangs the nuclear sword over you, it will not let you set foot in Ukraine, and it has taken steps to undermine the US dollar. Other countries like China support the endeavour to end US interference and threats. Russia has ended the 'rules based international order'. The Anglo Saxons are agitated most because it is the end of their dominance. Western Ukraine has had a Nazi problem. Go and read about Stepan Bandera, he was a Nazi before Hitler. Two Nazi groups (Right Sector and Azov Batallion) took part in the the 2014 coup which was aided by the Americans. They wear Nazi tattoos. The founder of the Azov was Andrei Biletski. He said he set it up to save the white race from Jews and untermenschen. Ukraine now has roads and statues after Bandera. Russia has to demilitarise Ukraine and ruthlessly kill the Ukro Nazis. They did that in Mariopol where the Azov Nazis were holed up in the Azovstahl steel plant. Ukraine had the option to maintain the status quo and be neutral, but the Ukro Nazis led them to the path of war with Russia. Hence, Russia has decided to terminate Ukraine. It is a failed country.

@hudhinton8243 'NATO has never been a threat to Russia.' That is not for you to assert, it is for Russia to decide. It is a defensive organization - again that is a self-certfiication. It is an agent for US control of the world. What was it doing in Afghanistan ? 'Same with the rules-based order.' What is that ? The invasion of Iraq on false pretexts was based on what rules ? Hence, to hell with your rules based order. Russia has ended it for good and you also know it. 'The US dollar is the reserve currency of the world. It isn't going to be replaced by the Yuan or Ruble any time soon.' The US invaded Iraq because Saddam had the temerity to sell oil in Euros. The US dollar is reserve currency only as long as two countries want to use it for trade settlement between them. Russia and India are now trading in their own currencies. China has a gold backed yuan and Russia is selling oil to China for payment in yuan. Same with Iran. China has asked Saudi Arabia to sell oil in yuan and they are considering it. Now countries are aware of the danger of relying on the dollar, and they also realise that there are alternative trade partners who do not want the dollar, and they now know the US does not have the capacity to invade them as before, the shift occurs. The US dollar does not become the reserve currency just because you declare so. You are not sure how it is undermined ? If people choose not to make settlements in dollar, its demand and hence value decreases. 'If they aren't stopped now, their next targets will be the Baltic States and Poland. What are you doing to stop ? No NATO country wants to go into Ukraine. They don't want to die. Russia's targets will be Poland and Baltics only if they misbehave with Russia. For example, when Lithuania tried to blockade Kaliningrad, one Russian MP said Lithuania's independence will be reconsidered. Then Lithuania backed down.

The weapons are not enough. Only 98% of what was needed according to NATO. Ukraine is asking for the most important 2% - the F 16s.

This German lady who speaks like a Nazi against Russia all of a sudden says Ukraine lost 100,000. All this while, her sort was overplaying Russian casualties and not talking about Ukranian ones. Previously, she only talked about Ukranian casualties in terms of civilians, war crimes etc. This disclosure even if redacted is indeed a signal that the west realises Ukraine is unsustainable.

'Woke and mass Muslim immigration ate the soul of this former great empire.' You feel suicidal, do you ? Who asked you to invade Iraq and Afghanistan ? And how many Irish Catholics want to join your army ? And the Scots want to leave the UK. And you are still nostalgic for empire. So what do you have to do to rebuild the great empire ? My fellow, Muslims are yesterday's enemy. Today's enemy for you is Russia; tomorrow's enemy for you is China. When you have faced Russia's and China's mailed fist, you will know that has a bigger punch than the Muslims.
1
@lilacer6841 You are entirely correct. Most westerners do not know or do not admit the machinations of Lockheed to expand NATO, the efforts of US necons like Victoria Nuland to overthrow the elected government in 2014, the US support for Ukro Nazi groups like Right Sector and Azov Batallion.
1
@michaeloravez2066 NATO expansion started long before Putin. Yeltsin protested it. So don't lie. You want to expand NATO to Russia's borders and expect no consequences. You want to have your cake and eat it. It will not work, Russia will give you a beating to remember.
1
@michaelkatz275 After the special military operation, both Ukraine and the US know NATO entry brings war. It is clear Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons if needed to prevent US bases in Ukraine. The US knows.
1
@colinwise8044 Maidan was quite a peaceful protest - a bit like the attempted Capitol storming by Trump's supporters was peaceful. Except Maidan succeeded because of US backing.
1
@vasilispatsalidis5683 I don't really expect the treacherous western politicians and their media to bother about how many Ukrainians are being massacred.? But I do wish that the western public starts questioning their media and politicians and ask if they did the best for the Ukranians by NATO expansion, and whether they are benefiting Ukrainians by arming them to fight Russia, when no western country wants to send troops to save them.
1
@colinwise8044 'It had nothing to do with the US.' Don't try to pull a fast one. Read up about Victoria Nuland. Have you heard of her ? She was a neocon stationed in Kiev who plotted and financed Ukranian groups who were anti-Russian. Some of the groups that took part were Ukro Nazis like Right Sector and Azov Batallion. John McCain and Victoria Nuland were in the square distributing sweets. What were they doing there ? Earlier when France and Germany opposed NATO expansion in Ukarine fearing it would bring war, Victoria Nuland was caught on tape saying 'F..k the EU'. Imagine if some Russian politicians turned up at the Capitol and encouraged the mob to take over for Trump. The US was plotting NATO expansion since 1997 due to the lobbying of arms firms like Lockheed. Either you are ignorant, or you know everything, and you are a liar.
1
@carmelnaidoo2297 Perfectly correct analysis. Ukraine is cynically used for the greed of Lockheed. I thought America was giving all the arms and money free. You are saying it is a loan. Is that correct ?
1
@rmondave Tell me please, Lockheed and such companies are making a bonanza, but who is paying for the arms ? Surely, the Ukranians cannot afford it. Is the US govt., that is the taxpayer, paying Lockheed ? Can the US afford it ? In the case of the first Iraq war, the US got the Gulf Arabs to pay, but surely Ukraine cannot pay.

You certainly have limited celebral capacity as you cannot write one line of correct English.

@peterc4632 You mention Crux. It is a despicable Indian set-up. Their mode of operation is sensationalism : one day Ukraine is winning, next day Russia unleashed some weapon. They alternate by day. They want clicks, and by alternating, they have both camps clicking, and the money comes in. Typical Indian money-making set up.
1
I am surprised Ukraine announces it is going to make a major offensive in Kherson, unless it is a diversionary ruse to throw off and draw the Russians from Sloviansk. Normamly, one keeps quiet. Russia certainly does not make announcements of that nature. They do it and then announce the result if it is successful.
