  5. The problem with his logic is that Russia only has two cities that economically power his nation. Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Anything that happens that compromises those cities affects the rest of the nation. A Russia absent those cities is not Russia anymore, it is a corpse to be cherry picked by surrounding nations.

  11. Pamela Raney I understand why you supported Trump. I did too. His words were so seductive, so soothing. He pointed out all the guilty parties who were ruining our lives and promised to root them out. He came across as friendly compared to the cold shrew Hillary. I get it. But this crisis has exposed him now. We all have gotten a good look at what his morality is in the midst of panic, and it doesn’t look good. He and his peers have made no secret about what is more important in their minds. Money is king, and your loved ones lives have a calculable value. Not since the time of Jesus has anyone been so eager to sacrifice others for their own gain.

  18.  @benscampers1818  No. you are wrong. Not all private farmers ship products overseas, only the corporate farms do. There are plenty enough farmers to supply US agricultural and livestock needs. What happened is that the corporations got hooked on China profits and ended up helping to create a monster.

I have the utmost respect for the Chinese system of balancing socialism and capitalism, but I would prefer the Chinese government keep their distance and allow other nations, the USA included to conduct their own affairs and find their balance without Chinese interventionism.

  43.  @hemantojha2850  India has, and still is purchasing grain from abroad. Brazilian and American farmers have made a kings ransom off of India over the years just on wheat alone. Don’t even bother trying to squirm of this one because the data is there to prove it. To be fair though, your neighbors are no better. Pakistan is a laggard in crop production and the Middle East has to trade oil for food. China is forever at the mercy of the weather and market price. Finally, there is the delicate matter of demographics and population. India has over a billion people, but unlike China has never made any attempt at controlling growth.

In 1986, not only did multiple European nations refuse to assist the Americans in attempting to kill Muammar al-Gaddafi, but an Italian politician actually ratted out the Americans and saved him. Do not say the Europe was a good partner to the Americans when history betrays the lie.
