  9. It makes a conviction harder to appeal. A fair trial is far more important than folks' curiosity. Ditto for Vallow-Daybell trial. No brainer if it means greater chance at sending them to prison if the evidence is strong enough.

  11. Exactly. Thank you for calling him out. Tho it's not evidence to convict at all, I found the audio of his hysterical arrest to be totally disingenuous, commented by his fear of arrest, prison, etc., than any remorse or fear of his wife. RIP, Ashley

  12. Legit question: Since when do defendants suggest who else committed the crime after confessing to it? He's owed the full measure of fairness re: investigation and due process. It sure looks like him walking on the phone recording. These are only comments. I'm not on the jury: none of us are. Justice for the children is all that matters.

  14. Kaitlin Armstrong has not displayed an iota of remorse or humanity... and yet he's bringing up almost biblical levels of things like atonement and rehabilitation. It's a reach, bro. What is he even saying? Yes. Our system is overloaded. She should have taken the plea deal. Murder is next level. 90 years is a lot... and it fits the cold nature of the crime.

  18. Yeah, I liked hearing the conviction - literally - in each of their voices. Hope it resounds with GP, but realize that's doubtful. The guilty ofrarely reward us with what would be a satisfying outburst of dismay... dammit.

I've thought about that and wonder if the idea of a real gun - a loaded rifle pointed at her, fgs - was so alien to Tammy - a world apart from anything she was able to conceive - that anyone could want to harm her. Now we realize that she was definitely naive, but that she was actually that innocent, too. May justice find her. Peace.

(She seems to hear quite well and she's not out of breath.) Re: two-tier justice on display, Imagining all of the other elderly and/or infirm inmates who can't afford lawyers to get hearings for them, too.

  26. Kirsten, Jared's widow, talks about loving his twins, yet supports the death penalty for their mother. To be clear, I hope Shanna is convicted at trial and serves life, but the added trauma for these kids who have already lost so much would be horrific. I don't think a jury - even one in FL - would vote to execute her. (The inequality of how capital punishment is carried out in the US is just one of the reasons I don't support it.) Here's to justice finding Shanna soon.

Hundreds of thousands of NDEs are testament to a Force of Love that's all-consuming, without favorites or exception. Instead of a fictive hell, we will experience the effects of our behavior on everyone we ever meet, rippling out in the lives of others who are affected. How about that.
