What more can you expect from a YouTube channel with over 16 million subs? Marqus has done the same thing. He gave us a Wallpaper App and then charged us a bunch of money for literal garbage.

@wills.5762 I was referring to modern cars. Especially any EV car or brand new model. They’re giving people more red tape. Yes, you can still purchase those 80’s and 90’s cars, but you better be prepared to do maintenance. There’s a lot of older cars out there that require a hefty amount of work, either because the previous owner didn’t care for the vehicle, or the dealer is trying to take shortcuts. You have to drive the cars and actually get a feel for them, making sure they’re in working order. Just looking at them ain’t good enough. Sure, they may look more stylish, as cars of that era typically are, but that doesn’t mean they’re reliable and 100% ready.

@johnnybaggins777 That’s basically a sign of our times. I also hate that everything is electronic. I recently visited some old relatives in their 80s last month. Booked my flight, and once I arrived I learned the rental car company I used was short on available vehicles. Desperate, I opted for a Mercedes. Bad decision. Electronics on it were wonky, things like opening windows were convoluted. They made everything more complex, all for hooking up a car to some online account or tracking data. None of this existed when I went to highschool in the late 1990’s. You simply purchased a car from a used dealer or an automobile manufacturer. Things were still analog and mechanical, including the dash. The Mercedes I was driving was electric and had a completely electronic dash. Everything has been cheapened and all this tech is just making things worse.

@izzypizzy23 You’re simply stating that conservatives are mostly good. You should state the differences between Liberal and Democrat and Conservative and Republican. Cognitive dissonance was not a serious issue on the old internet, since it was a free for all libertarian minded space for people to explore and discuss. Corporations run the internet and they actively promote cognitive dissonance on purpose. That’s why Left vs Right is so prevalent now because our elites would rather keep us divided than us working together. Conservatives have no real party of their own. Neither do old school liberals/ classic liberals who still see themselves as left leaning on the political spectrum. One percent controls society. Three to four percent are puppets of that one percent. Guess who the three to four percent are? That’s right, extremists.

@davidhunternyc1 Old Yankee Stadium was better. But Steinbrenner was roping in all the talent that was established elsewhere. Roger Clemens, A Rod, Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield all established their All Star talent years before George gave them big enough salaries to sign. It’s a city for the super rich. Every one else pays the price.

This is why I trust people with lower subscriber counts more.

I almost gave up because I used to think the Boomers and their older Silent generation cohort were the only ones who had extensive knowledge of self repair. Younger people like Rossman give me hope. It’s apparent that these giant corporations don’t care about us.

The real problem in regard to what Louis said at 1:01:51 in this video is the oligarchy the West has sunk into. Linus himself is a symptom of a much bigger problem. Our system has become that which rewards narcissists, criminals and our elites with consolidation of power. Demanding $30,000 for a very brief shout out in a tech unboxing video is not only greed, it is utter malice. And that’s the thing. Corporations hold so much sway over normal society that people themselves are starting to become ads themselves. I’m utterly convinced that all the low quality ad garbage with some Millennial/Gen Z person with a smartphone has been paid off. It was not like this back in 2010 - 2013. Ads back then were more reasonable, so most people saw no serious need for a blocker. Linus, like many with his subscriber count and higher, sold his soul to gain power and profit. He is part of a big scam along with the other big YouTubers whose faces were shown on that thumbnail at 4:00 in the video. The giant corporations have captured them. That’s the big difference between Louis here and those who are multi millionaires here on YT that got bought off.

@thetakongpancake1003 Well it’s a combination of many things. Dumbing down education, workers unable to do essential math skills, groceries rising in price due to greed, the list goes on. You guys also had proper mentors. My dad worked in the restaurant business in the 70’s. While not a cook, he was a busboy and a cleaner. His bosses taught him how to clean effectively, and be proper to customers if the need arose. Today I see aisles in grocery stores regularly unkept. Shelves are poorly shelved and stocked and this is being done on purpose. Gen Z is working overtime and they lack essential skills and knowledge to adapt to the real world, let alone have the money and know how to raise a family with strong kids. Civilization is doomed.

You also need fast and reliable internet, which not everyone has.

I’m tired of them doing any job. They fail to properly deliver packages. I’ve had several of these foreigners clearly from another country send me broken products. Then I’m left having to complain, and sometimes I don’t get any refund.
1
Coke was a serious problem in the 80’s.
1
San Francisco and portions of SoCal aren’t too far behind.
1
@Impassion You people are just the east coast version of California. Doesn’t matter, because both California and New York got ruined by politics. People flee to Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Tennessee and so on and then wonder why those states are turning Blue.
1
@ArtwithKrissy We already reached the point where these old but very important books are going to have to be bought at thrift stores, or someone that isn’t going to be infiltrated by corporate forces.
1
They do that so you pay more money. All Verizon did was up the bandwidth on their networks. It never has and never will be unlimited.
1
@PedroDanielLopesFerreira They are lemmings. It’s like going to fast food even though you told yourself you’re going to exercise and lose weight.

@TheCurtisnixon I got my iPhone 4 in 2011. Rossman’s oldest video is 12 years old. Yes, they actually allowed third party repair to buy the necessary supplies to do quality work. Apple eliminated the supply chain so now you’re forced to use their garbage services which means they can overcharge you for trash that could be spent on something else. The iPhone 15 is bloated, has way too much clutter on it, and is sold purely because it looks sleek. Modern tech is a looming disaster.
1
@TheCurtisnixon Apple has been a garbage company for a long time. The iPod was a thing back in the day, but once that was over those of us who were observant realized that Apple was selling simply for the brand, not about how good their products were. Sadly as time goes on it’s becoming more difficult to find quality parts and components. I have early flat screen computer monitors from the early - mid 2000’s. They were built with better materials. Garbage today from companies like Samsung is lucky to last a few months without having either technical issues or design problems.
1
Almost makes me want to pull out my old SNES.
1
I don’t want to live in this society anymore.
1
Life was more simple back then.

You don't own anything digital. Pirating just means taking something you didn't get legally and putting it on your systems. Physical is the only thing you can actually own. And the corporations are trying really hard to get rid of physical.
1
It’s worse than cable TV was.
1
@Stick0413 Other Democrat run cities implement this same tactic. I knew small business owners in California who were bullied by multiple agencies, and were then threatened by either summons or people giving the go ahead to close store. Meanwhile giant corporations like Walmart continue to pop up and essentially put mom & pop stores out of business. It’s all a racket and Louis here wasn’t willing to play along. Thankfully he moved to Texas.
1
So what happened to Flushing and NYC? Sounds like all the cities controlled by Democrats are collapsing.
1
Linus is a coward Millennial who fell for the woke mind virus.
1
@DeadHorse666 This was how we did it until the 2000’s. Amazon started out by dealing with books.
1
You will own nothing and be happy. There’s no way out. Physical, digital. Everything pirated is digital. It’s a much better option than streaming, but it’s not 100% risk free. The kids are not well. Better to let the system collapse, so that we may rebuild. That will ultimately be left to our children.
1
@antediluvianatheist5262 Must feel tough being on a keyboard.
1
They won’t understand because they don’t care about small businesses. They’re why it’s a waste of time to start a small business in California. Too much red tape, bureaucracy and interfering, plus all the policies that go with just having a business at all there.
1
Some of us still watch old stuff like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, for nostalgia if anything else.
1
There was a time when living in a city made sense, but those days are over.
1
Sad that Best Buy and Target ditched their DVDs. But they are both garbage.
1
And they ban actual people for making 1 star reviews. There used to be review comments, including those from companies that sold their products on the website. I've received free products from such companies. Today you just get kicked off for making a honest 1 star review.
1
Because all the big cities became trash fires.
1
American Corporatism is a cancer.
1
Amazon has terrible working conditions.
1
Apple is too big and bloated. They don’t have to care because they’re a faceless corporation that just wants your money. Anybody who remotely knows circuitry and basic level electronics knows that putting a 40 - 50 volt line next to a data line is wrong. You can read a book on what electricians do for a living and you would easily figure out that these designs are made to fail. This results in the end consumer paying out more money towards the corporation who approved this garbage. That’s why third party repair is suffering because Apple doesn’t want these small businesses actually giving their customers a good price when it comes to repair. This was 100% intentional and was done by the big business heads at Apple.
1
I tried to tell you that Apple doesn’t care about quality, but my comment got deleted.
1
@peoplez129 Globalism at work folks.
1
He also went Republican. If Cali politicians weren’t so corrupt and morally bankrupt, Elon may still have his company there.
1
I have been going the pirate route for a decade now. Saw the writing on the wall. I have old classic Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, Jack Lemmon, Marilyn Monroe films in 1080p and higher. I also have a few more modern films from the 1980's. I have lots of these on DVDs as well. Corporations can no longer be trusted to give us uncensored, free, unedited films and shows anymore.
1
@smith2354 So, have you moved to a different place?
1
The UK is extremely leftist. Thats why London is awful now compared to just 20 - 25 years ago.
1
It’s because all the good people that were there left long ago.
1
@discordantduck1808 A liberal viewpoint 20 years ago in 2005 is now considered a right wing viewpoint today in 2025.
1
Guys, don’t pay attention to the Wexxo comments. They are all bots/AI.
1
@SuperAWaC As history books state, big tech happened in the 1980’s. Outside of LA and SF, most places in California were Republican/Conservative, including Orange County. Things got so bad that it was decided that leftists try to rename John Wayne Airport into something else, based on a half century old interview the actor did on a magazine. So what’s this have to do with politics? Because John Wayne was a staunch Conservative, and they really aren’t welcome in California anymore. It’s a one party state and everything beautiful it might have left is being destroyed by the Democrats.
1
They made the same rule in California. Some genius decided that items under a certain value ($1000) isn’t actually stealing. SF is now full of stores with items like shampoo, hair gel, soap, vitamins, etc. all locked behind chain and padlock. Why? Because too many people were stealing these items, and the stores weren’t making any money.
