You have a question.... but you don't want to hear the answer?
2
!!! Truth !!!
2
Amen.
2
@IHavAnAkimbonr Friendly reminder: that is incorrect. Citing the Industrial Revolution.
2
@IHavAnAkimbonr Didn't say early capitalism created child labor. But it did enable it with poor and few regulations.
2
@IHavAnAkimbonr And child labor was "eliminated" when individual governments stepped in and passed regulations to define workplace standards. In America, this primarily took off during FDR's era. And if you are correct, what about China? Chinese workers in cities have long since been able to obtain jobs and make ends meet. Yet, China is mainly still the factory of the world due to the CCP's poor regulations in the name of profit. Key word: PROFIT.
2
we do, we just do learn it correctly and unbaisedly
2
@mustafa_elbashir Thank you for the lesson.
2
And? Either fix them or abolish them all! Although, I'd bet some of the countries that still have them, have improved it to make it more just, like Norway. Many countries also still have the death penalty. That shouldn't stop the US from abolishing it.
2
The more you know.
2
Money money money.... Money!
2
No surprise there.
2
The Arab State only declared war because of the continued persecution of Palestinians by Jewish neighbors. The Nakba was the cause of the Israeli-Arab War of 48. The Nakba didn't just start on May 15th. It started long before the Arabs declared war. Any state would declare war after an act of war has been committed upon it.

Pretty cool
2
Lies.
2
@erickvistad3078 Thank you for your objective input based on standard seafaring practices.
2
Three sides: One side, the other side, and then the truth. This was the truth.
2
So this how a broken train of thought works.... Nice try bro
2
Agreed. Both deserve their flowers.
2
@ChenAnPin I was not expecting to be laughing this hard

"Not Just Bikes" is a great channel for people that want to learn more about urban design on an international level! Also, the sad thing is that most countries experienced the 19th-century boom in car supply & demand that defined car-centric urbanization. But the biggest difference is that most countries have already long since started the work to make urban design pedestrian-friendly. So, it is America that is the biggest outlier. For example, "Not Just Bikes" used the Netherlands, and specifically Amsterdam, as an effective comparison to Houston.
2
IKR This is America
2
@Z_BoyPanduh it feels different because we know the statement is correct.
2
@iraholden3606 You are the definition of idiocy. Maoism was a form of Marxism that revolved around a highly authoritarian government forcing its people into a cultural revolution. Meanwhile, Fred Hampton was a socialist that believed in a more hands-on, direct democracy. He also implemented social programs that help marginalized groups -- programs that evolved into Medicare and Social Security. Educate yourself before you try to speak.
2
@iraholden3606 Make no mistake. Fred Hampton was killed for his skin color and his ability to unite many different movements. Race was not a side issue but the main issue when talking about Civil Rights. The Rainbow Coalition he created was, first and foremost, an anti-racist, anti-class, multicultural organization that sought to change the current capitalistic system to also help the working and marginalized. Hampton was not killed because the US thought he was a Soviet spy, he was killed because the US saw him as a threat to its institutionalized, systemic oppression.
2
@Gormadt That is anecdotal. That doesn't happen for everyone.
2
I hope you answered it correctly.
2
So many more people should be mentioned in history books. Especially since most accomplishments in this country were done by unsung women and POC.
2
Humans are fickle like that.
2
WWE wrestlers, for example, make great action movie actors. Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan...
2
The whole separation of power thing can rly get out of hand quick. Pres. Wilson created the League of Nations, but because his party lost Congress.... the US did not join the international peace organization they THEMSELVES created.
2
While there isn't anything we can do to course-correct our collective past, I am glad that humanity is using foresight to better scrutinize the decisions that impact our collective future.
2
Actually, the problem is when the so-called "both-sidesism" clearly is unable to point out when one party -- in this case the GOP -- is highjacking American democracy.
2
Can we please get an update on the Lebanese situation? It has been about a year.
2
@oskarmartin114 Careful now, buddy. You're sounding like a Hitler sympathizer....
2
Thanks for your apathy, a hole.
2
For artists, getting your work stolen without credit or permission is a nightmare.
2
This would not be a problem if American Democracy had a proportional representation system.
2
@jam5533 Yeah. Men like Donald Trump are very very very "wired", indeed.
2
Alt. Title: "How Reganism & Trickle-Down Economics destroyed the American Middle Class that FDR secured. "
2
Source? Because our sources are plenty. The land west of the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea has been know as Palestine for centuries now. In "Historic Palestine", Arabs, Muslims, Jews, & Christians all lived together as neighbors and were all known as Palestinians, under Ottoman Rule. After the end of the Holocaust, the modern Nation of Israel was created as a new state that was created by the Nakba & British support.
2
I am Tigrayan. And in the words of Mandela, ”We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of Palestinians.”
2
@88Expert 1) The Right to Bear Arms is a constitutional freedom. 2) US cops legally don't have to the duty severe and protect, so no. 3) Gun control does not mean banning all guns.
2
The State of Israel is not a democracy. Netanyahu made sure of that. It's also not a victim, but oppressor.
2
Misogynist. I guess you hate the 70 years of peace, stability, and deconsolidation. Or are you also an imperialist.
2
Relevant words even today. RIP.
2
Many of us in Tigray are praying for Sudan.❤💛
2
@CarFreeSegnitz That is not what they said. That is what you said.
2
@MrISkater ON WHAT PLANET??? 1. Even if everyone can vote, in red states, voter suppression is a real threat to a fair and free election. 2. Only US Citizens can vote. 3. If you have a felony, you automatically lose the right to vote and the liberty of the 2nd & 13th amendments. 4. Gerrymanders makes it so you can't vote for the district you normally would belong to. 5. In most states people can't register to vote (or get financial aid) unless they sign up for selective service as well.
